Objective To explore the application and effect of scene imitation method in the education of patients before fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Methods 264 elective bronchoscopy patients between March 2007 and Decembet 2007 were randomly divided into control group(120 patients)and the experiment group(144 patients)Traditional health education was applied in the control group before bronehoscopy.Scene imitation method in health education was applied in the experiment group before bronchoscopy. Results The examination succes rate in the experiment group was significantly improved(P<0.05).The medical order obeying behavior(MOOB)of the patients was significantly different between the two group(P<0.01).Conclusion Before the use of fiberoptic bronchoscopy, the new scene simulation method Can help patients on the list obtain more cognitive ability about the testing.Comparing the traditional education,it establishes a sound relationship between doctors and patients, reduces complication and leads to more accurency of testing, thus helping patients to recover soon.

Objective To study metabolism of polyunsantured fatty acid (PUFA) and to investigate the relationship between different PUFA compositions and △6 desaturase (D6D) activity in colorectal carcinoma (CRC).Methods Fresh frozen malignant CRC tissues were obtained from 61 patients and blood samples were detected in 38 patients. The PUFA composition in these samples was determined by gas-liquid chromatography on a capillary column. The fatty acid product-to-precursor ratios in blood and tissue as estimates of desaturase activity (D6D activity index),and its relationship with the ratios between different PUFA compositions were investigated. Results Metabolism of ω-6 PUFA dominated in PUFA metabolism path. The ratio of ω-6/ω-3 PUFA was 4.89 in blood samples and 10.15 in tissues. The ratio of LA/ALA was 101.92 in blood samples and 86.16 in tissues. The ratio of ω-6/ω-3 LC-PUFA was 2.86 in blood samples and 4.51 in tissues. The D6D activity index in ω-6 PUFA metabolic processes both in tissues (t =1 1.609,P =0.00) and blood samples (t =-9.151,P =0.00) were higher than that in ω-3 PUFA.Conclusion In colorectal carcinoma, the ω-6 PUFA metabolic not only plays an important role in the metabolism of PUFA,but also is more active than the ω-3 PUFA metabolic, and in some way links to the development of tumorigenesis in CRC.

Objective To investigate the effects of 15-deoxy-?12,14-prostaglandin J2(15d-PGJ2) and DDP on the growth of human pulmonary carcinoma PLA-801D cells and the mechanisms of apoptosis. Methods The human pulmonary carcinoma PLA-801D cells were selected and added to each well of 96-well place and cultivated for 24 h.Then the cells were treated with different concentrations of 15d-PGJ2(0,5,10,20,40 and 80 ?g?L-1) or 15d-PGJ2 combined with DDP(3 mg?L) for 24 h.0 ?g?L-1 15d-PGJ2 group was control group. The morphological changes of cells were observed under inverted microscope.Microculture tetrazolium(MTT)dye was applied to detect the proliferation of the human pulmonary carcinoma PLA-801D cells treated with 15d-PGJ2 and DDP.Diphenylamine assay(DPA) was used to evaluate the activation.Flow cytometry assay(FCM) was used to detect the apoptosis proportion and the changes of cell cycle. Results When the human pulmonary carcinoma PLA-801D cells were treated with low-concentration 15d-PGJ2 alone(5,10 and 20 ?g?L-1),no significant difference was observed in the inhibitory rate of cell growth and the apoptotic indexes such as the apoptosis proportion, the percent of DNA fragmentation and the activity of caspase-3 compared with control group(P

OBJECTIVE To explore the infection control measures in operation of mass earthquake wounded victims, and improve nursing quality.METHODS By setting up infection control group, strengthening nurse' awareness of infection control, strict division of region for operation, paying great attention to early first-aid treatment and strengthening the key link in the quality control.RESULTS Infection control were effectively improved the salvage rate of mass earthquake victims. There was non-cross infection among victims.CONCLUSIONS According to the infection trait of earthquake wounded victims, perfecting the system of measures of infection control is an important way to control hospital infection of mass earthquake wounded victims.

Objective To explore the prescribing patterns of outpatients receiving antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) in rural Western China and to identify the correlation in terms of doctors and patients characteristics. Methods Totally 7678 prescriptions for URTIs were collected from 680 primary health village clinics of 40 counties across 10 provinces of Western China. Two outcome variables were used in the analysis: the occurrence of prescribing at least one antibiotic drug for an URTI and the occurrence of prescribing two or more antibiotics for an URTI. GEE logistic regression models were used to examine the socioeconomic and demographic determinants of the above two outcome variables. Results The percentage of prescribing at least one antibiotic for URTIs was 48.6% while the percentage of prescribing antibiotic combination (two or more antibiotics) was 4.6%. The two measurements of antibiotic utilization differed remarkably among the 10 provinces. Patients diagnosed with tonsillitis and faucitis had higher odds (OR=8.86 for tonsillitis and OR=4.64 for faucitis) of antibiotic prescription than patients with other diagnosis of URTIs. Patients with tonsillitis and faucitis also had higher odds (OR=3.82 for tonsillitis and OR=2.71 for faucitis) of multiple antibiotic prescription than those with other diagnosis of URTIs. The number of drugs per prescription and injection in prescriptions were also significant predictors of antibiotic and multiple antibiotic utilization for URTIs. Conclusion It is concluded that the percentage of antibiotic prescription for URTIs is higher in rural Western China than in most of other countries with available data and that prescriptions of antibiotics for URTIs are associated with residence regions of patients, URTI diagnosis and background information on drug prescription.

Hyperthermia is a means of adjuvant therapy, which have a sensitizing effect to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In recent years, the molecular biology, cell and animal experimental research of tumor thermochemotherapy progressed very quickly, which provide theoretical foundation and guidance for us to further develop hyperthermia combined with chemotherapy in clinical trials. In this paper, the studies with the mechanism of thermo-chemotherapy treatment of tumor, different ways of thermochemotherapy and commonly used drugs in thermochemotherapy are reviewed.
