1.EMP(English for Medical Purposes) Teaching Practice in the 7-Year-Program Clinical Medicine of Southeast University
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(11):-
7-year-program clinical medicine is a major that fuses master with bachelor degree education and has higher demand in the integrated ability training. It is in 2002 that Southeast University first admitted students of this major, which, therefore,is brand new challenge to every educators, including EMP teachers. Thus,we initiated teaching innovation and put it into practice, which proved beneficial.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(1):31-34
OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation of the autophagy-associated gene Atg5 with the pathogenesis of prostate cancer.
METHODSUsing real-time fluorescent quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry, we detected the expression of Atg5 in 50 cases of prostate intraepithelial neoplasm (PIN), 69 cases of prostate cancer (PCa), and 30 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
RESULTSThe expression level of Atg5 mRNA was significantly higher in PIN (5.270 ± 0.230) and PCa (5.131 ± 0.252) than in the BPH tissue (1.723 ± 0.017) (P <0.01), and so was the positive rate of the Atg5 expression in the patients of the PIN group (94%) and PCa group (88.4%) than in those of the BPH group (6.7%) (P<0.01), but with no statistically significant differences between the PIN and PCa groups (P >0.05). No significant correlation was observed between the expression of Atg5 and the Gleason score of PCa (P >0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe upregulated expression of Atg5 might play a role in the tumorigenesis of prostate cancer.

3.Clinical analysis of posterior capsular rupture in small incision non -phacoemulsification cataract surgery
International Eye Science 2015;(8):1432-1434
AIM:To analyze the cause of posterior capsular rupture in small incision non - phacoemulsification cataract surgery and investigate the treatment methods.
METHODS: The clinical data of 108 cases ( 121 eyes ) undergone small incision non - phacoemulsification cataract surgery combined with intraocular lenses ( IOL) implantation were retrospectively analyzed. The causes of posterior capsular rupture and treatment of 6 patients (6 eyes) after surgery were analyzed and summarized.
RESULTS: Six cases ( 6 eyes, 4. 96%) occurred posterior capsular rupture during the operation, of which 2 cases ( 2 eyes ) underwent posterior chamber IOL implantation intraoperative, 2 cases (2 eyes) receivedIIstage IOL implantation in the ciliary sulcus at 1wk postoperative, 2 cases ( 2 eyes ) were given anterior chamber IOL implantation. One case ( 1 eye ) whose vision acuity <0. 1 was macular degeneration; One case ( 1 eye ) whose vision acuity = 0. 3 was diabetic retinopathy;0. 4~0. 6 in 2 cases (2 eyes), 0. 6~0. 8 in 2 cases (2 eyes) after 1 ~3mo postoperatively. No severe syndrome was found after surgery.
CONCLUSION:Posterior capsular rupture which occurs in different stages of the operation is the commonest intraoperative complication in small lincision non -phacoemulsification cataract surgery. With improving operative techniques, and continuously accumulating experience, incidence of posterior capsular rupture can be effectively reduced. Even posterior capsular rupture occurs intraoperative, patients can still get a good outcome after timely and proper treatment.
4.Study Status and Comparison in Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1994;0(04):-
Since cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)guidelines was constituted in 1974,it was adopted many times. The American Heart Association,in collaboration with the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation(ILCOR),adopted new CPR science guidelines in January,2005.This article gives a short introduction of CPR,and showes the progress of several editions.

Objective To analyze the clinical features and its influencing factors of depression pa?tients with and without psychotic symptoms. Methods According to the presence of psychotic symptoms, 374 patients with major depression were divided into psychotic major depression ( PMD group,79 case) and nonpsychotic major depression ( NMD group,268 case) . All patients completed social demographic question?naire ( including gender, age, marital status, educational level, family history, positive family history of psychi?atric disorder, disease onset age, frequency of attack, times of hospitalization, etc.) and Hamilton's depression scale (HAMD?24). Results Positive family history(PMD group 47/79,NMD group 104/268, P<0.01), psychiatric disorder positive family history(PMD group 19/79,NMD group 26/268, P<0.01) and times of hospitalization(PMD group(2.52±1.29),NMD group(1.39±1.31), P<0.01) in the PMD group were signifi?cantly higher than the NMD group.HAMD total scores(PMD total score(47.85±8.69),NMD total score (43.44±8.51), P<0.01),the factor score of anxiety/somatization(PMD group(11.40±3.28),NMD group (9.19±3.54), P<0.01) and cognitive impairment(PMD group(12.24±3.77),NMD group(9.45±3.68), P<0.01) in the PMD group were significantly higher than the NMD group.Disease onset age(PMD group(30.09 ±5.17),NMD group(35.95±9.06), P<0.01),the course of the disease(PMD group(1.58±0.76),NMD group(3.02±2.87), P<0.01),the factor score of day and night change(PMD group(0.76±0.46),NMD group(1.01±0.51), P<0.01) in PMD group were significantly lower than the NMD. Logistic regression anal?ysis showed the major depression with positive family history of mental disorders( β=3.278) ,attack in early age( β=-2.524),seriously cognitive dysfunction in patients( β=3.836) may indicate the psychotic symp? toms( P<0.05).Conclusion PMD patients more positive family history, psychiatric disorder positive family history, likely to be hospitalization, severe symptoms and attack in early age compared with NMD. With posi?tive family history of mental disorders, attack in early age, seriously cognitive dysfunction in patients with ma?jor depression may indicate the psychotic symptoms.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and general pattern of the adverse drug reactions (ADR) occurred in our hospital. METHODS:A total of 258 ADR cases collected from June 2006 to June 2008 were analyzed statistically in respect of patients' age and sex, drug variety, clinical manifestations, routes of administraiton and dosage forms etc. RESULTS:Of the total 258 ADR cases, the majority(64.34%) were induced by antimicrobial drugs; 45.74% presented with lesions of skin and its appendants, and 77.91% were induced by intravenous way. CONCLUSION:To develop and strengthen ADR monitoring and reporting should be regarded as the key to enhance medication safety.
