1.Non-invasive glucose measurement technologies and devices
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(4):222-226
This review describes the main technology for non-invasive glucose monitoring and introduces relevent devices. For technology, the physical principle underlying the techniques, the limitations, the measurement sites and their individual features are considered. For devices, the information listed are their approval condition (FDA Approval and/or CE Mark),the techniques adapted the manufacturer and the information available about the device on the internet. From what we reviewed, although some promising techniques and devices are already available, further efforts are still required to reach a satisfactory solution to the non-invasive glucose measurement problem.
2.Management of Military Hospital Medical Cooperative Projects
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(11):-
Based on the analysis of the common problems which exist in the military hospital medical cooperative projects, five countermeasures are put forward. Firstly, the basic principles for cooperation should be grasped accurately. Secondly, the management system should be perfected. Thirdly, the feasibility of the projects should be augmented enough. Fourthly, the clauses of the contracts should be checked strictly. Lastly, the supervision and management should be enhanced actively in the period of the cooperation.
4.Effect of Xiaoyao Powder on the ethology, morphology, and activities of neurotransmitters of Alzheimer's disease model mice.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(4):471-474
OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of Xiaoyao Powder (XP) and its compatible prescriptions on the ethology, morphology, and activities of neurotransmitters, thus exploring their effects and mechanism in preventing and treating D-galactose induced Alzheimer's disease (AD) model mice, and clarifying the compatibility mechanism for soothing Gan, nourishing blood, and invigorating Pi.
METHODSSixty SPF mice were randomly divided into the blank control group, the model group, and the XP group, Shugan Jianpi group (SJ), Shugan Yangxue group (SY), and Jianpi Yangxue group (JY), 10 in each group. The AD mouse model was prepared by peritoneal injecting D-galactose. Meanwhile, mice in the blank control group and the model group were administered with physiological saline (at the daily dose of 24 mL/kg) by gastrogavage. Mice in the XP group (2.485 g/kg), the SY group (1.136 g/kg), the SJ group (1.775 g/kg), and the JY group (2.059 g/kg) were administered with corresponding medicated decoction by gastrogavage, with the gastric volume of 24 mL/kg. On the 41st day the training of capability for learning and memory was started. On the 42nd day capability for learning and memory was tested. The brain tissue was cut. One half was used to determine the contents of homogenate acetyl cholinesterase (AchE), choline acetyltransferase (ChAT), and monoamine oxidase (MAO).Another half was used to carry out morphological observations.
RESULTSThe capability for learning and memory could be improved and the latency time could be lowered in all the treatment groups. Besides, the homogenate AchE and MAO could also be elevated, ChAT could be lowered; the morphology, number, and distribution of neurons could be improved. But the improvement of ethology, morphology, and activities of neurotransmitters were most obviously seen in the XP group.
CONCLUSIONSXP could improve the ethology, morphology, and activities of neurotransmitters, and showed better effects on prevention and treatment of AD. The rationality of compatibility methods and combination thinking ways of soothing Gan, nourishing blood, and invigorating Pi were clarified.

Chongqing Medicine 2014;(29):3944-3947
Objective To study the sub-health status and health-risky behaviors of left behind middle school students in Chongqing Three-gorge area and provide the reference for targeted interventions .Methods 1 528 cases of left behind middle school students were collected from three middle school by multistage cluster random sampling in a reservoir of Chongqing ,surveyed with questionnaire about health-risky behaviors and Multidimensional Sub-health Questionnaire of Adolescents(MSQA) .Results The rates of psychosomatic sub-health symptoms were 45 .0% ,body sub-health symptoms detection rate was 23 .3% ,psychological sub-health symptoms detection rate was 40 .1% .Body energy insufficiency ,the physiological function ,decreased resistance detection rate were 10 .2% ,15 .1% and 12 .0% ,respectively .The emotional problems ,behavioral problems ,social adaptation difficulties detection rate were 25 .9% ,16 .8% ,34 .3% ,respectively .The symptoms of sub-health detection rate of boys was higher than that of girls (P>0 .05) ,the junior grade One was higher than the senior grade One(P<0 .05) ,the one-child was higher than non-only child(P>0 .05) ,the boarding students was significantly higher than the day students(P<0 .05) .Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors had unhealthy diet behavior ,deliberately harm behavior ,suicide behavior ,unintentional injury behavior and Internet addiction .Conclusion The sub-health problem of left behind middle school student in Chongqing three-gorge area is in a general level ,the relevant departments should take some targeted interventions to improve students'health level .

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
This article elucidates the relationship between the human susceptibility to obesity and gene polymorphisms such as peroxisome proliferators-activated receptors(PPARs)and PPAR?coactivator-1,along with milestones in the formation and development of capacity for fat deposition during evolutionary history of human. An biological evolutionary analysis, identifying factors favoring the energy stores, may be helpful to the development of preventive public health strategies.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
Rhamnolipid,an important biosurfactant,is reviewed with respect to chemical strocture, properties, physiological role and their fermentation production, especially focusing on the production with inexpensive raw materials, such as vegetable oils and residues from agro- industrial wastes. This can not only reduce the production costs, but also contribute to the reduction of environmental impact generated by the discard of residues, and the treatment costs.

China Pharmacy 1991;0(04):-
OBJECTIVE:To prepare and appraise eucalyptus oil?-cyclodextrin inclusion compound, and to testify the feasibility of transforming the dosage form of eucalyptus oil by clathration techniques.METHODS:The physicochemical properties of inclusion compound was identified by thin-layer chromatography(TLC),infrared spectroscopy(IR),ultra-violet spectroscopy(UV)and gas chromatograph mass spectrometer(GC-MS),respectively.Meanwhile,the changes in constituents and clathration outcomes of eucalyptus oil before and after clathration were also investigated.RESULTS:The analytic result of TLC,IR and UV showed that stable inclusion compound has been formed from eucalyptus oil and?-cy?clodextrin.The result of GC-MS demonstrated that there was no significant change in the essential components and the percentage composition of eucalyptus oil before and after inclusion.CONCLUSION:Stable inclusion compound can be made from eucalyptus oil and?-cyclodextrin meanwhile without changes in main components and the percentage composition of eucalyptus oil.
