1.Advance of Study on the MTBE Degradation by Microbes
Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
The contamination of groundwater by methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE) has become widespread. As a result, the bioremediation of MTBE is becoming an active area of research. In this paper, the progress of the studies on the degradation of MTBE by microbes was reviewed, focusing on the aerobic strains that could degrade MTBE.The possible metabolic pathways of MTBE were discussed as two main pathways separated by tert-butyl alcohol(TBA).The effect of environment factors, coexisting pollutants, and inter metabolite on the MTBE degradation were also discussed.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2009;11(9):1174-1177
Objective To explore effects and mechanism of inactivation of vitamin D receptor (VDR) in intestinal tumor growth of APCmin/+ mice. Methods To generate APCmin/+VDR -/- mice through breeding, the number and size of small intestinal and colonic tumors were assessed and compared between APCmin/+ and APCmin/+ VDR -/- mice. The intestinal tumors were diagnosed with HE stain. The expressions of BCL-2,vimentin-1,Stat-1 and MSH-2 proteins of tumors were determined by immanohistocbemistry and compared be-tween APCmin/+ and APCmin/+VDR -/- mice. Results A comparison between APCmin/+ and APCmin/+ VDR -/- mice revealed that the number of the tumors, which were larger than 3mm, was significantly increased in APCmin/+ VDR -/- mice at 4 months of age (P< 0.01). HE staining indicated fistulous adenomas from small intestine and colon of two groups, Immunostaining showed Stat - 1 level in APC-min/+ tumors were increased and MSH-2 and vimentin-1 levels in APCmin/+ VDR-/- mice were increased, compared to APCmin/+tumors. Conclusion These observations suggested that inactivation of VDR promoted the intestinal tumor growth of APCmin/+ mice.

Objective To study the change of mucins of expression in lithic cholecystitis and cholecystic adenomatiod polyps. Methods MUC1 and MUC3 were detected in the mucosa of human normal gallbladders (20 cases, control group), of calcareous cholecystitis (38 cases, calcareous group) and of adenomatoid polyps (18 cases, polyp group) with immunohistochemical stains and Western blotting methods. Results The positive rate and optical density values of MUC1 were increased significantly in calcareous and polyp group vs control group ( P

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2007;26(1):8-12
Objective To study the active secondary metabolites from marine microorganism FIM02-635. Methods The producing strain was identified by taxonomical and phylogenetic studies. Two compounds FW635I1 and FW635I2 with immunosuppressive activities were extracted by organic solvents from the culture broth and purified by silica gel column chromatography and high speed counter current chromatography. The structures of the two compounds were determined by physico-chemical properties and spectral analyses, the biological activities were assayed in vitro. Results and Conclusion The producing strain was named as Micromonospora carbonacea FIM 02-635. Two compounds FW635I1 and FW635I2 were determined to be isoflavone Daidzein and Genistein, respectively, showed immunosuppressive and antitumor activities, but not antimicrobial activities.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(12):1158-1159
Objective To investigate the effects of bilateral sternocleidomastoideus contraction on neck flexion and extension. Methods The electromyograms (EMG) signals of left sternocleidomastoideus of 24 healthy persons were recorded respectively when neck relaxation and flexion in the supine position, and neck relaxation and extension in the prone position. The biomechanical measurement and analysis were done using anatomical specimens and models. Results The sternocleidomastoideus registered electrical resting potential when neck relaxation in the supine position, and when neck relaxation and extension in the prone position; the motor unit action potential of sternocleidomastoideus raised the type of mixed phase when neck flexion in the supine position. Conclusion The contractions of bilateral sternocleidomastoideus can lead to the head and neck flexion while neck joints are not fixed, and the contractions of bilateral sternocleidomastoideus can lead to the head extension under the state of fixing neck joints below atlanto-occipital.

Objective To understand the occurrence of healthcare-associated infection(HAI) in intensive care units (ICUs) in secondary and above hospitals in a province, and provide basis for HAI management. Methods HAI management quality control center in a province performed targeted monitoring on HAI in ICUs in secondary and above hospitals in a province from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2015.Results ICUs in 176 hospitals were monitored, the incidence of HAI in ICUs for 6 consecutive years was 7.23%, case incidence of HAI was 9.72%;incidence of HAI showed a decreased trend in 6 years(P<0.001).The adjusted rate of HAI per 1 000 patient days in the general hospital ICUs was higher than that of special hospital ICUs (4.30‰ vs 3.53‰).Incidence of HAI in surgical ICUs and general ICUs were both relatively higher, adjusted rates of HAI per 1 000 patient days were 4.79‰ and 4.21‰ respectively.Respiratory tract, urinary tract, and bloodstream infection were major HAI in ICUs, accounting for 68.64%, 14.45%, and 10.09% respectively, the utilization rates of central venous catheter, ventilator, and urinary catheter were 49.86%, 39.16%, and 81.95% respectively, incidence of three catheter-associated infection were 1.74‰, 13.77‰, and 2.08‰ respectively, incidence of three catheter-associated infection decreased year by year (P<0.001).The utilization rates of ventilator, central venous catheter, and urinary catheter in different ICUs were not correlated with the incidence of infection(all P>0.05).A total of 36 223 strains of pathogens were isolated, the top 6 isolated pathogens were Acinetobacter baumannii(22.77%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (11.96%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa(11.94%), Staphylococcus aureus (8.08%), Candida albicans (5.63%), and Escherichia coli(5.55%).The isolation rates of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae showed a increased tendency for 6 years(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous targeted monitoring on HAI in ICUs, regular analysis on risk factors for HAI, and timely implementation of intervention measures can effectively decrease the incidence of HAI.

Objective: To study the quality and transdermal properties of matrine microemulsion-based hydrogel (MBH) to provide basis for the development of the preparation. Methods: The stability of MBH was observed at 4 ℃ for 3 months and the changes of particle appearance, viscosity, pH and matrine content were observed. The transdermal permeation of MBH was investigated by a dual chamber permeation and diffusion device with excised mouse skin as the barrier.Taking rabbits as the experimental subjects, the irritation of MBH to the normal skin and damaged skin was investigated. Results: The appearance, viscosity, pH and matrine content of MBH at 4 ℃ in 3 months did not change significantly. In vitro transdermal test showed that MBH had a good penetration rate on mouse skin, and no skin irritation occurred after single or multiple administrations. Conclusion: MBH has good stability and high rate of transdermal penetration without skin irritation, which is a promising drug delivery system of matrine with good application prospects.
