Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2001;14(3):217-220
Objectives: Observe the effects of acupuncture on obese SD rats fed by self-prescribed high calorie diet. Methods: The model group were male SD rats fed by self-prescribed high calorie diet, while the control group were male SD rats fed by common roughage. After acupuncture, the changes of some indexes were observed such as eating and drinking amount, body weight, length, Lee index, fattiness in groin and circumrenal areas, TG,TC,BG levels in blood etc. Results: The obesity was defined as the average body weight of the model group was 20% heavier than the average body weight in the control group. And the obesity ratio was 56%. The indexes were changed in different degrees with statistic significance after one period of treatment. Conclusions: Over-nutrition is one of the causes of obesity. Our high calorie feed for obese rat is reasonable. Acupuncture has obvious therapeutic effects for simple obesity.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
To investigate the change in renal CD11a and myeloperoxidase (MPO) contents and renal function during ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) of rat kidney, as well as the role of lymphocyte function associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) played in renal IRI, we utilized a rat model of renal IRI to detect the renal tissue contents of CDlla and MPO and renal functioa The results showed that the levels of CD11a and MPO were very low in normal renal tissue, but increased significantly in ischemia reperfusion. Renal failure was presented in rats with IRI. The levels in the ischemia-60min-reperfusion group were higher than those in the ischemia-30min-reperfusion group in the same time points. Our conclusion is the levels of CD11a and MPO in rat renal tissue increase significantly during renal IRI. LFA-1-mediated leukocyte adherence plays an important role in renal IRI. Up-regulation of CDlla further elucidates the mechanism of relation between IRI and acute rejection: more heavier IRI is, more possible acute rejection would be.

Objective To evaluate sound velocity tissue quantification ( SVQ ) for the quantitative assessment of liver fibrosis stage in chronic hepatitis B ,and to evaluate the correlation between diagnostic performance of sound velocity tissue quantification and blood parameters . Methods From the May of 2013 to May of 2014 ,collect ninety‐nine patients with chronic hepatitis B who was diagnosed by clinic and / or liver biopsy as experiment group ,and thirty healthy volunteers as control group at the same time . The experiment group and control group were evaluated with to measurement the zone speed index ( ZSI) ,and blood cell count . The AST/PLT ratio index ( APRI) was calculated according the following formula , APRI=AST(ULN)/PLT(109/L) . The liver biopsy was performed in the same day with SVQ and all blood parameters .ZSI and APRI were compared by correlation with liver fibrosis stage in chronic hepatitis B . Referring to the histologic fibrosis stage on liver biopsy ,all the ZSI and the APRI value were assessed by using ROC curve analysis . The corresponding cut‐off value ,sensitivity and specificity were also calculated andcompared. Results 1)ThemeanvaluesofAPRIwere(15.9±5.7)m/sforpatientswithS0,(28.1± 2 .8)m/s for patients with S1 ,(35 .8 ± 1 .2)m/s for patients with S2 ,(42 .6 ± 0 .8)m/s for patients with S3 , and (46 .3 ± 1 .3)m/s for patients with S4 .2)Accordingly ,the areas under the ROC curve for ZSI and APRI were 0 .875 and 0 .762 for S≥S1 ,0 .832 and 0 .597 for S≥S2 ,0 .913 and 0 .675 for S≥S3 ,0 .891 and 0 .709 for S≥S4 ,respectively . Conclusions The ZSI and APRI all could be used to evaluate the stage of liver fibrosis ,but the ZSI index is superior to APRI in assessing the stage of liver fibrosis . SVQ could provide object and accurate image ,the quantitative analysis of tissue could timely and accurately evaluate the severity of liver fibrosis .

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(07):-
The biological artificial liver(BAL) can offer reliable artificial liver support for the patients with hepatic failure. All BAL devices contain hepatocytes as their biological component, whose specific biological characteristics contribute to the function of the BAL.During the past two decades, various cells including human hepatocytes, heterogeneous hepatocytes and liver cell lines have been used and different culture methods have been studied to optimize the activity of the biological component. However, both functionality and safety of these cells should be improved before successful use in BAL. This paper summarizes the latest progress on it.
