Objective:To compare the shear bonding strength between two kinds of veneering ceramics respectively bonded to Vita Mark II.Methods:Vita Mark II samples were prepaired in the size of 8 mm ×6 mm ×2 mm.Veneering ceramic VM9 and Titankeram-ik were sintered on the Vita Mark II blocks respectively(n =1 0).The shear bond strength of each specimen was measured, the failure mode of the fracture surface was observed by SEM.The element in the bonding interface was analysed by field emission scanning elec-tron microscope(FE-SEM).Results:The values of shear bond strength (MPa)of VM9 and Titankeramik groups were 36.1 7 ±8.91 and 42.07 ±8.31 respectively(P >0.05).SEM observation showed tight bond between the two materials,FE-SEM results showed penetration of Al element from MarkⅡblock into veneering porcelain VM9 or Titankeramik. Conclusion:Veneered porcelain of VM9 and Titankeramik can be used as the individual veneering ceramics for Vita Mark II blocs.

Objective To evaluate the effect of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)-induced expression of inflammatory factors in pig kidney. Methods Twenty-four adult pigs of either sex, weighing 25-32 kg,were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =6 each) using a? random number table:control group (group C),sham operation group (group S),ECMO group and CRRT group.Anesthesia was induced with ketamine, diazepam and atropine and maintained with ketamine and diazepam. The pigs were tracheotomized, intubated and mechanically ventilated. The left femoral arteries were cannulated for MAP monitoring.Heparin 150 U/kg was injected intravenously.Right femoral artery and left internal jugular vein were cannulated for blood-letting and fluid infusion. In ECMO and CRRT groups,ECMO was performed for 24 h starting from 1 h after cannulation,in addition CRRT was performed for 24 h simultaneously in ECMO group. The pigs were then sacrificed and kidney specimens were obtained for determination of the content of interleukin-1β (IL-1 β),IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) by ELISA.Results There was no significant differ-ence in the content of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α between C and S groups (P > 0.05).Compared with C and S groups, the content of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α was significantly increased in E and CRRT groups (P < 0.01).Compared with group E,the content of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α was significantly decreased in group CRRT (P <0.01).Conclusion CRRT can decrease ECMO-induced expression of inflammatory factors in pig kidney to some extent, indicating that it can alleviate the inflammatory responses in kidney.
3.Correlation between atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis and coronary heart disease and the inflammation related factors
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2000;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the correlation between atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis and the severity of coronary lesions in patients with confirmed coronary artery disease and the impact of renal artery stenosis on serum inflammation related factors. Methods 163 patients from Peking University First Hospital with confirmed coronary heart disease by coronary angiography underwent selective renal artery angiography from Dec 2002 to Sep 2003.Serum hypersensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP)and Interleukin-6(IL-6)were measured. Results Patients combined with coronary disease and renal artery stenosis were presented with more acute coronary syndrome(ACS)and triple-vessel CAD.Serum hs-CRP and IL-6 levels were also higher in this group. Conclusion Renal artery stenosis is correlated with severe coronary disease.Inflammation state could be one of the reasons for this connection.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of insulin resistance (IR) with coronary heart disease (CHD) by the relationship study between IR and the risk factors of CHD as well as the severity of coronary lesions. Methods One hundred and twenty three patients with at least one vessel ≥50% luminal narrowing were analyzed from our consecutive angiographic data base, excluding patients concomitant with hepatic, renal, pancreatic diseases, thyroid disorders and diabetes mellitus (DM) with insulin therapy. Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), blood lipid, plasma insulin were performed in all patients. Insulin resistance was assessed by homeostasis model assessment (HOMA) to investigate the relationship study between insulin resistance and the risk factors of CHD,severity of coronary lesions as well as the clustering of risk factors (hypertension, overweight, impaired glucose tolerance/DM, high serum triglycerides, low high density lipoprotein cholesterol). Results The level of IR was correlated with the levels of body mass index (BMI), fasting glucose, postprandial glucose, fasting insulin, postprandial insulin, hypertension, serum triglycerides, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol. Meanwhile the level of IR was associated with clustering of risk factors and the extent and the severity of coronary lesions. Conclusion Insulin resistance may be the basis for disease. In the primary and secondary prevention of CHD, we should not only treat syndromes but also reduce the level of IR.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the expression of CKLF?2 mRNA in rats′ myocardium at different development phase. Methods Total RNA was extracted from fetal rat hearts at day12 and day 18 after coitus, and from new-born rat hearts right after birth, day 3, day 7 and day 21 after birth, as well as from adult rat hearts. The expression of CKLF?2 mRNA was tested by competitive polymerase chain reaction (CPCR). Results Compared with the postnatal myocardium, the expression of CKLF?2 mRNA obtained its peak level in the 12-day-post coitus, which then decreased gradually to a relatively low level until birth. It increased slightly at birth and subsided to the lowest level in adulthood. Conclusion CKLF?2 probably takes part in the procession of the myocardial proliferation and the development of rat′s heart.

Objective To observe the effects of strabismus surgery for treatment of concomitant exotropia and analyze the influential factors. Methods From 2000 to 2004, 95 patients hospitalized in our department underwent strabismus surgery and followed up for one week to 3 years. We retrospectively analyzed the deviation and superior sensory outcome at week 1 (95 cases) and week 6 (58 cases) after surgery. Results Seventy-four cases (82.11%) were completely corrected in one-week follow-up, and 46 cases (79.31%) in six-week follow-up. Nineteen cases (32.76%) recovered superior sensory. Conclusion Timely surgery of concomitant exotropia can improve not only the appearance but also the function of the eyes.

Objective To explore the role of p38MAPK and TGF?2 in the development of diabetic retinopathy. Methods Fifteen Hamsters were induced into diabetic models by intraperitoneal injection of Streptozotocin(40 mg/kg once a day) for 3 d and 13 Hamsters were successfully established, whose blood glucose was over 13.5 mmol/L.Ten Hamsters as controls were intraperitoneally injected of physical saline of the same volume. At 16th week after induction, the total RNA of retina from all sacrificed Hamsters was collected. The mRNA expressions of p38MAPK,TGF?2 in retina were detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR and their protein levels by Western blotting. Results The mRNA expressions of p38MAPK,TGF?2 in retina were of high tendency and their protein levels increased. Conclusion p38MAPK signal pathway may involve in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy.
