Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(9):1144-1148
Scientific research output of clinical trials in Chinese medicine (CM) is insufficient, but international papers hold an important scientific position in China. Based on the current situation, we analyzed the present publication situation of international medical papers in our country, and the feasibility and urgency of publishing international papers on clinical trials of CM. Finally, we proposed to use the PDCA (plan-do-check-action) cycle method to improve the quality control and management of CM clinical trials. Moreover, by combining our experience in relevant scientific research launched at our department, we expounded strategies for improving the quantity and quality of international papers in CM.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(10):-
Tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBPA)is supposed to have potential thyroid disrupting activities due to its similar structure to thyroid hormones.TBBPA has been proved to show thyroid disrupting effects in vivo and in vitro studies.TBBPA might disrupt thyroid hormone system through transthyretin- and thyroid receptor-mediated pathways. The ability of TBBPA inducing the production of reactive oxygen species might be the extension of its thyroid disrupting activities. The thyroid disrupting effects of TBBPA might be closely related to its oxidative stress, reproduction toxicity and neurotoxicity.More experiments are required for the effects of TBBPA on the aquatic and amphibian animals.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(5):442-445
Objective:
To monitor the content of bisphenol S ( BPS ) in vegetables and fruits in Henan Province and evaluate the dietary exposure risk of the population, so as to provide the basis for formulating relevant food safety standards.
Methods:
From 2018 to 2019, 276 samples of vegetables and fruits produced and sold in Henan Province were collected. BPS was determined by isotope dilution ultra performance liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS ) , and the dietary exposure was calculated according to the dietary structure and average body weight of local residents. The risk index of BPS was calculated according to the daily tolerable intake ( TDI ) of bisphenol A ( BPA ).
Results:
The BPS contents in vegetables and fruits were 0.006-12.600 µg/kg and 0.006-9.380 µg/kg, the medians were 0.053 µg/kg and 0.023 µg/kg, the detection rates were 78.43% and 62.60%, respectively. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits ( P<0.05 ). The maximum exposure of BPS from vegetables and fruits was 5.37×10-2 µg/ ( kgbw·d ), and the exposure risk index was 1.07 × 10-3, which was acceptable.
Conclusions
BPS was detected from vegetables and fruits in Henan Province. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits. The health risk of BPS exposed by vegetables and fruits is small.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2013;33(6):789-794
OBJECTIVETo observe the protective effect of Wufu Jingfang (WJ, containing Aconitum carmichaeli Debx, Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparatae, Rhizoma Pinelliae, and snakegourd fruit) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (I/R) of rats, thus exploring the feasibility of recipes containing eighteen incompatible pairs for specific pathological conditions.
METHODSFifty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups, i.e., the sham-operative control group (the SH group), the I/R group, the low dose WJ I/R group (the I/R +JFL group), the middle dose WJ I/R group (the I/R +JFM group), the high dose WJ I/R group (the I/R +JFH group), 10 in each group. Rats in the latter three groups were administered with WJ at 0.75 mL/100 g, 1.50 mL/100 g, and 3.00 mL/100 g body weight for 14 consecutive days by gastrogavage. All groups except the SH group received ligation of left anterior descending branch of coronary artery for 30-min ischemia followed by 120-min reperfusion. The micro-structural changes of myocardial mitochondria were observed by transmission electron microscope. The ischemic cardiomyocyte apoptosis was detected in each group using one-step terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling (TUNEL). The mRNA expressions of B-cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) and Bcl-2 associated x protein (Bax) were detected by RT-PCR. The activities of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK) were detected using ELISA. The myocardial infarct size was detected.
RESULTSCompared with the I/R group, WJ pretreatment significantly suppressed the release of LDH and CK (Besides, the release of LDH and CK reduced along with increased dose.), reduced the myocardial infarct size, and lowered myocardial apoptosis index (P < 0.05). WJ pretreatment also modulated Bcl-2/Bax ratio by up-regulating Bcl-2 expression level while decreasing Bax expression level.
CONCLUSIONSWJ pretreatment might protect the heart from I/R injury via decreasing myocardial cell apoptosis. The results suggested that eighteen incompatible pairs is not absolute, but relative. Chinese medical preparation containing opposite Chinese herbs could be used in specific pathological states such as ischemic cardiomyopathy.

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2009;18(2):96-100
Objective To evaluate the early change of left ventricular (LV) systolic function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) by ultrasound speckle tracking imaging. Methods Ninety-five subjects were included:40 T2DM with normal LV ejection fraction (LVEF≥50% ,group A),20 T2DM with abnormal LVEF (LVEF<550 %) (group B), and 35 normal controls. Two-dimensional strain images were acquired from LV short-axis view. LV peak systolic global and segmental radial strain and circumferential strain at the levels of mitral annulus, papillary muscle and apex, and LV systolic global and segmental rotation at the levels of mitral annulus and apex and LV peak systolic global twist were assessed. Results In group A, compared with control group, LV peak systolic radial strain parameters were not significant difference (P >0.05), peak systolic circumferential strain of part segments, average peak strain of each plane and global strain were reduced (P <50.05~0.001) ,and LV peak systolic rotation of all apical segments, peak systolic global rotation at the levels of mitral annulus and apex, and peak systolic global twist were significantly increased (P <0.05~0.001). Compared with control group and group A,all LV systolic radial strain and circumferential strain parameters, LV systolic global and segmental rotation and peak systolic global twist in group B were significantly reduced (P <0.05 ~ 0.001). Conclusions Speckle tracking imaging could be used to evaluate the early change of LV torsional deformation and LV systolic function in T2DM.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(6):1186-1190
The conductivity and permittivity of blood in mice were measured by the AC electrical impedance method at frequency range of 0.1-100MHz, and then the changes of the Cole-Cole parameters of dielectric spectra of blood from phenylhydrazine-induced anemia mice were observed by numerical calculation and curve fitting residual analysis of the Cole-Cole equation. The results showed that hematocrit (Hct) of the mice with phenylhydrazine injection was significantly reduced; the permittivity(epsilon) spectroscopy of blood moved to the low insulating region and its permittivity decreased; conductivity (kappa) spectrum curve of blood moved to the high conductivity zone and conductivity increased; the 2nd characteristic frequency was lower than that in the normal group. There was phenylhydrazine dose dependent in the changes of the Cole-Cole parameters of dielectric spectra of blood.
