2.Thyroid Hormone Disrupting Activities of Tetrabromobisphenol-A:a Review
Ma-Li CHEN ; Qing-Po LIU ; Hua-Hong SHI ;
Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(10):-
Tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBPA)is supposed to have potential thyroid disrupting activities due to its similar structure to thyroid hormones.TBBPA has been proved to show thyroid disrupting effects in vivo and in vitro studies.TBBPA might disrupt thyroid hormone system through transthyretin- and thyroid receptor-mediated pathways. The ability of TBBPA inducing the production of reactive oxygen species might be the extension of its thyroid disrupting activities. The thyroid disrupting effects of TBBPA might be closely related to its oxidative stress, reproduction toxicity and neurotoxicity.More experiments are required for the effects of TBBPA on the aquatic and amphibian animals.

Objective To study the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE )and continuous portal vein perfusion chemothepary (VPC) on advanced hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HCC). Methods The patients in group A (n=83) received the epirubicin (EPI) 40 mg and the cisplatin (CDDP) 80mg, lipiodol-anticancer drug emulsion was injected into the feeding arteries of tumors followed by embolization with gelatin sponge (GS) particles. Patients in group B (n=59) after receiving the same as the group A then VPC was carried out. Results The response rate ( CR + PR) in group A and B was 45.8% and 61.0%(P

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(9):1144-1148
Scientific research output of clinical trials in Chinese medicine (CM) is insufficient, but international papers hold an important scientific position in China. Based on the current situation, we analyzed the present publication situation of international medical papers in our country, and the feasibility and urgency of publishing international papers on clinical trials of CM. Finally, we proposed to use the PDCA (plan-do-check-action) cycle method to improve the quality control and management of CM clinical trials. Moreover, by combining our experience in relevant scientific research launched at our department, we expounded strategies for improving the quantity and quality of international papers in CM.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(5):371-374
Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) refers to the single base sequence variation in specific location of the human genome. Phenotype informative SNP has gradually become one of the research hot spots in forensic science. In this paper, the forensic research situation and application prospect of phenotype informative SNP in the characteristics of hair, eye and skin color, height, and facial feature are reviewed.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(5):442-445
Objective:
To monitor the content of bisphenol S ( BPS ) in vegetables and fruits in Henan Province and evaluate the dietary exposure risk of the population, so as to provide the basis for formulating relevant food safety standards.
Methods:
From 2018 to 2019, 276 samples of vegetables and fruits produced and sold in Henan Province were collected. BPS was determined by isotope dilution ultra performance liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS ) , and the dietary exposure was calculated according to the dietary structure and average body weight of local residents. The risk index of BPS was calculated according to the daily tolerable intake ( TDI ) of bisphenol A ( BPA ).
Results:
The BPS contents in vegetables and fruits were 0.006-12.600 µg/kg and 0.006-9.380 µg/kg, the medians were 0.053 µg/kg and 0.023 µg/kg, the detection rates were 78.43% and 62.60%, respectively. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits ( P<0.05 ). The maximum exposure of BPS from vegetables and fruits was 5.37×10-2 µg/ ( kgbw·d ), and the exposure risk index was 1.07 × 10-3, which was acceptable.
Conclusions
BPS was detected from vegetables and fruits in Henan Province. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits. The health risk of BPS exposed by vegetables and fruits is small.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(6):1186-1190
The conductivity and permittivity of blood in mice were measured by the AC electrical impedance method at frequency range of 0.1-100MHz, and then the changes of the Cole-Cole parameters of dielectric spectra of blood from phenylhydrazine-induced anemia mice were observed by numerical calculation and curve fitting residual analysis of the Cole-Cole equation. The results showed that hematocrit (Hct) of the mice with phenylhydrazine injection was significantly reduced; the permittivity(epsilon) spectroscopy of blood moved to the low insulating region and its permittivity decreased; conductivity (kappa) spectrum curve of blood moved to the high conductivity zone and conductivity increased; the 2nd characteristic frequency was lower than that in the normal group. There was phenylhydrazine dose dependent in the changes of the Cole-Cole parameters of dielectric spectra of blood.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2001;0(01):-
Objective To explore the pathologic changes in the brain areas corresponding to specific cognitive function and underlying mechanism of cognitive impairment in patients with epilepsy by DTI study. Methods Forty-four Patients and 20 control subjects received the test of Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Diffusion-Tensor Imaging examination.Mean diffusivity (MD) and fractional anisotropy (FA) in the normal appearing white matter of interested area were measured.T test was employed to compare the MD and FA between patients and healthy controls, patients with normal and impaired FIQ respectively. The relationships between FIQ and DTI value were analyzed by Bivariate correlations. Results VIQ (100.52?17.63),PIQ (95.10?16.72) and FIQ (98.19?17.76) of the patients with epilepsy were significantly lower than those of health controls (VIQ,PIQ and FIQ were 109.77?13.54,108.11? 12.17 and 109.81?10.57,respectively).Significant reduction of FA in both side of posterior limb of internal capsule (P

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
AIM: To investigate the expression of FIZZ1/RELM? in lung tissue of chronic cigarette smoking rat,and to determine the relationship between airway inflammation and airway hyperresponsiveness.METHODS: Made rat model of chronic cigarette smoking was used. The expression of FIZZ1/RELM? in lung tissue was determined by immuno-histochemistry and in situ hybridization.RESULTS: In control rats,FIZZ1/RELM? protein and mRNA expressions were observed at low levels. In cigarette smoking rats,FIZZ1/RELM? expression increased in all the cells especially in bronchial smooth muscle cells, vascular wall cells and alveolar epithelial cells.CONCLUSION: FIZZ1/RELM? is a secreted peptide specifically expressed in lung.Cigarette smoking induces its upregulation, which possibly contributes to cigarette smoking-induced airway hyperresponsiveness.
