OBJECTIVE To enhance reasonable usage of antibiotics and develop hospital infection management for monitoring, managing and improving of antibiotics clinical administration.METHODS Six Sigma analysis methods were used to identify key points in the quality management process.Based on these points, hospital infection management software was developed and its effects were evaluated using statistical analysis methods.RESULTS In perioperative period of Ⅰ surgical incision, the proportion of prophylactic antibiotics usage decreased significantly. The treatment time of antibiotics within 72 hours perioperative period was significantly shorten after software application.Total amount of antibiotics was significantly declined, dropped by 21.01%;Meanwhile,the administration amount of antibiotics classified in special use decreased, dropped by 21.7%.The microbial distribution, drug resistance and consumption monitoring could be understanded immediately.CONCLUSIONS The software can make us immediately know the dynamic consumption of antibiotics and trends of bacterial resistance in hospital to decrease the irrational use of antibiotics.

To observe the clinical efficacy of combined acupuncture and Tuina in the treatment of enuresis following occult cleft spine and seek quantified indexes for result assessment, 40 subjects were treated by above methods and B-ultrasonically examined before and after treatment to determine the capacity of bladder and the residual urine inside it. The total effective rate was 90%; there was a difference of the capacity of bladder between before and after treatment (P<0.05); 11 cases suffered from residual urine, and there was also significant difference of residual urine between before and after treatment (P<0.01). It is revealed that this method can increase the capacity of bladder and diminish residual urine.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(10):-
Tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBPA)is supposed to have potential thyroid disrupting activities due to its similar structure to thyroid hormones.TBBPA has been proved to show thyroid disrupting effects in vivo and in vitro studies.TBBPA might disrupt thyroid hormone system through transthyretin- and thyroid receptor-mediated pathways. The ability of TBBPA inducing the production of reactive oxygen species might be the extension of its thyroid disrupting activities. The thyroid disrupting effects of TBBPA might be closely related to its oxidative stress, reproduction toxicity and neurotoxicity.More experiments are required for the effects of TBBPA on the aquatic and amphibian animals.

Objective To analyze the possibility of assessing portal hypertension in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis via contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and common serum markers. Methods Fifty-four patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis were divided into two groups according to hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG):HVPG<12 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) and HVPG ≥12 mmHg.The non-invasive index of routine blood test, liver function, coagulation function,Child-pugh score (CPS) and the results of contrast-enhanced ultrasound such as hepatic artery arrival time (HAAT),hepatic vein arrival time (HVAT)、portal vein arrival time (PVAT),hepatic artery to henatic vein arrive transmit time (HA-HVTT) and portal vein to hepatic vein arrive transmit time (PV-HVTT) were assessed by univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis, and then were used to generate a diagnostic model. The receiver operating characteristic curve was also used for analysis. Results The non-invasive model is Y =-0.217 × PV-HVTT + 1.526 × CPS-7.097.When the area under ROC curve (AUROC) was ≥0.857 and the best cutoff value was ≥0.631,and the sensitivity and specificity in judging HVPG≥ 12 mmHg were 87.5 % and 78.6%,respectively.Conclusions The model composed of PV-HVTT and CPS could be used to assess portal hypertension.
