Objective To investigate the role of community-based intervention among diabetic patients for the control of blood glucose,blood fat,blood pressure and body weight. Methods Patients in a specific community with type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected in the study,with 133 in the exercise group,200 in the integration group and 140 in the control group.Intervention and followup were conducted for 8 months,and clinical parameters including blood glucose were detected. Objective To explore the culturing strategies,curiculum provision,courses conferring methods,teaching effects as well as the associated managerial evaluations on the basis of Sino-French cooperation on medical education with the hope of summarizing helpful suggestions to Sino-Foreign cooperation on medical education. Methods The achievements of our Sino-French cooperation on medical education were analyzed and compared in the teaching models,culturing strategies along with courses conferring processes among seven-year medical students from both English-teaching and French-teaching classes. Results Our Sino-French cooperation on medical education was featured in its distinct culturing purposes and effective teaching model.Its scientifically formulated culturing strategy found its full expression in French-teaching atmosphere.The Sino-French cooperation on medical education was consistently welcomed and favorably recommended by both faculties and students. Conclusion The Sino-French cooperation on medical education has not only gained precious experience in culturing the cutting-edge medical talents with the international visions but also conduced to fulfill the goal to establish a modernized and internationalized medical school.

Objective To explore and evaluate the implementation process and prelimnary achievements of 4+4 medical education program in Shanghai Jaiotong University School of Medicine. Methods The data of student background,curriculum,exam grades and graduate employment of class 2002 and 2003 were collected and analysed. Results The data showed that this program has enrolled high quality students,teaching hours of key courses of medicine has been reduce to 70%,while the average grades of the comprehensive examination were higher than those of the 5 year students,and the employment prospects for 4+4 program has been optimistic. Conclusion The 4+4 program has achieved preliminary success,and the experiences is beneficial for the further reform of medical educational system.

Chemical constituents of Inula japonica were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatographies, over silica gel, and Toyopearl HW-40, and preparative HPLC. On the basis of spectral data analysis, including NMR and MS data, the structures of the isolates were elucidated and their anti-inflammatory activities were assayed. Fifteen compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of I. japonica, and their structures were elucidated as dihydrosyringenin (1), (3S, 5R, 6S, 7E)-5,6-epoxy-3-hydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (2), (6R, 7E) -9-hydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-3-one (3), arnidiol (4), taraxasterol acetate (5), 8,9,10-trihydroxythymol (6), taxifolin (7), luteolin (8), napetin (9), eupatin (10), spinacetin (11), quercetin (12), p-hydroxycinnamic acid (13), caffeic acid (14), and caffeoyl acetate (15). Compounds 1, 2, 7, 13 and 15 were isolated from the genus Inula for the first time, and compounds 3, 4, 9-11 and 14 were isolated from this plant for the first time. The anti-inflammatory activity result showed that compounds 3, 6-12 and 14 exhibited inhibition effect against leukotriene C4 (LTC4) synthesis and degranulation definitely in c-Kit Ligand (KL) induced mast cells, and compound 8 and 12 also had the suppression effect against lipopolysacharide(LPS) induced nitric oxide (NO) activity in RAW264.7 macrophages. It is firstly reported that compounds 7 and 9-11 possessed potent inhibition activities against LTC4 generation and degranulation in mast cells.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of electroacupuncture on exercise-induced immunosuppression in rats and its mechanism.

METHODSSports immunosuppressive model was established successfully by the rats were conducted high intensity swimming training 150 min/day, 6 days/wk for 8 weeks in this study. Forty-three SD rats were randomly divided into a control group (group A, n = 10), a high intensity swimming training group (group B, n = 17), and a high intensity plus electroacupuncture group (group C, n = 16). Group A did not receive any intervention. Group B was conducted 150 min/day, 6 days/wk swimming training for 8 weeks. Group C was treated with electroacupuncture at "Baihui" (GV 20), "Guanyuan" (CV 4) and "Zusanli" (ST 36) after every exercise-time from the second week, once each day for 7 weeks. The changes of the rats' weight, gamma-interferon (gamma-IFN), interleukin-2 (IL-2), solubility IL-2 receptor (SIL-2R) and nature killer cell (NKC) were detected.

RESULTS(1) Compared with group A, gamma-IFN and IL-2 in group B were significantly decreased (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and NKC in group C was significantly increased (P < 0.01). Meanwhile, gamma-IFN and NKC in group C were both significantly higher than that in group B (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). (2) Compared with group A, the weight of the rats in group B and group C were significantly decreased (both P < 0.01), but SIL-2R in group B was significantly increased (P < 0.05). The weight of the rats in group C was significantly higher than that in group B (P < 0.05) and SIL-2R in group C was significantly lower than that in group B (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONLasting gravis exercise stress does decrease the immune function in rats and is even inhibited significantly, but electroacupuncture can up-regulate the exercise-induced immunosuppression.

Based on improving experimental operating skills of students and considering the features of microbiology experimental technology and methods,we developed a new examination ways of microbiology experiment — "multimedia papers of microbiology experiments" to use among 2005 and 2006 students of sophomore(entering campus in 2005 and 2006) of biotechnology and bio-science for microbiology experiment examination.Analysis of the results of experiment examination and theoretical examination for the 2005 and 2006 students showed that the disharmony and miscorrelation between experiment examination results and theoretical examination results were overcome,and students got more interested in experimental classes,while their experimental operation is more conscious and accurate.

Objective To investigate the application value of functional exercise pathway in enhanced recovery of patients undergoing hepatectomy.Methods Fifty primary hepatic carcinoma patients who had undergone liver resection in Anhui Province Hospital from December 2014 to August 2015 were randomly divided into experimental group (n =25) and control group (n =25).Postoperative length of hospital stay,hospitalization charges,complications,postoperative pain score,postoperative ambulation and intestinal ventilation time were compared between these groups.Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as ((x) ± s) and comprison between groups was analyzed using the t test.Comparisons of count data were analyzed by the x2 test.Results Postoperative length of hospital stay of the experimental group [(7.00 ± 2.27) days] were shorter than control group [(9.36 ± 4.58) days] (t =3.090,P =0.003),and hospitalization expense was lower in the experimental group [(28 184.57 ± 8 675.65) yuan] (t =2.281,P =0.025).Compared with control group (40％),the experimental group (20％) had lower overall complication incidence (t =4.286,P =4.286),and general complications incidence (8％) is lower than that in control group (24％),however,the incidence of operation characteristic complications had not statistical significance in two groups.Besides,the intestinal recovery time in the experimental group was shorter than control group (experimental group 36.56 hours,control group 45.24 hours,t =2.390,P =0.019).Conclusion The application of functional exercise pathway in postoperative enhanced recovery exercise of patients undergoing hepatectomy is safe and effective,which can reduce the patients' postoperative hospital stay,hospital costs,and the general incidence of complications incidence,and be helpful for the intestinal function recovery.
