1. Effects of propofol on isolated heart function and metabolism of oxygen free radical in rats wth obstructive jaundice
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;28(6):640-643
Objective: To study the effects of propofol of clinical concentration on isolated heart function and metabolism of oxygen free radicals in rats with obstructive jaundice. Methods: Thirty-six rats were randomly divided into 2 groups (n = 18): sham operated group (SO) and bile duct ligation group (BDL). The isolated working hearts were perfused for 30 min and 6 hearts were randomly selected from each group to measure the contents of basic MDA and SOD activity in the heart tissue. The rest animals of each group were randomly separated into 2 subgroups (n = 6): K-H solution perfusion group and propofol perfusion group. The isolated working hearts in K-H solution perfusion group were perfused with K-H solution for 40 min. The hearts in propofol perfusion group (SOP, BDLP) were perfused for 40 min with K-H solution containing 25 μmol/L propofol. After the hearts became stable, the following indices were recorded: HR, left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP), ± dp/dtmax, etc. The contents of MDA and SOD activity were measured after perfusion. Results: After perfusion with K-H solution for 30 min, the basic indices of heart function of BDL group were significantly lower than those of SO group (P<0.05). The indices significantly decreased after perfusion with propofol (P<0.05), but the rates of change of all indices were not different between SO and BDL groups. The contents of basic MDA in BDL groups were significantly higher than those of SO groups (P<0.05); the basic SOD activities in BDL were significantly lower than those of SO groups (P<0.05). After propofol perfusion, MDA content of BDLP group significantly decreased (P<0.05) and SOD activity significantly increased (P<0.05). Conclusion: Propofol at clinical concentration shows no significantly different effects on isolated working heart function of rats with and without obstructive jaundice, which might be related to the fact that propofol can protect SOD activity, lower MDA content and improve the metabolism of myocardial.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(5):357-359
OBJECTIVE:
To analyze the features of orbital fracture and to discuss its forensic expertise points.
METHODS:
One hundred and thirty cases of simple orbital fracture from 2010 to 2012 collected from one public security bureau were retrospectively analyzed such as age, gender, tools, position and morphology of the fracture, periorbital and orbital compound injury and the follow-up results after 6 months.
RESULTS:
In the 130 cases, the wounded were mainly young men and hit by fist. The fracture of simple medial orbital wall accounted for up to 81.5% in all cases. In the periorbital and orbital compound injury, laceration and contusion of eyelid and ethmoidal cellules and maxillary sinus always occurred. After 6 months follow-up, there were 30 cases of comminuted fracture remained enophthalmos compared with the uninjured side.
CONCLUSION
It is inappropriate to judge the fracture of simple medial orbital wall as minor injury. We should judge the degree of simple orbital fracture after the injury is stable. Detailed ophthalmology inspection is necessary for forensic expertise of simple orbital fracture.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2004;29(9):860-862
OBJECTIVETo develop a method for determination of luteolin-7-O-glycoside in the roots, stems, leafs, flowers and aerial parts of Dracocephalum rupestra sampled in different seasons.
METHODThe samples were analyzed on an phenomenex C18 column, with mobile phase of methanol-acetonitrile-0.4% phosphoric acid (30:8:62) at flow rate 1.0 mL x min(-1) and detection at wavelength of 350 nm.
RESULTThe content of luteolin-7-O-glycoside in different parts of D. rupestra was different maximum in leaves, while minimum in stems. Luteolin-7-O-glycoside in D. rupestra sampled before blossoming was the highest.
CONCLUSIONThe method simple, accurate and suitable for the quality evaluation of this plant medicine.

ObjectiveTo explore the appropriate teaching methods for medical international students.MethodsTotally 84 students in grade 2005 and 63 students in grade 2006 took part in clinical skills training in 2010 and 2011.The traditional method was employed in grade 2005 and interactive teaching and imagery training was applied in grade 2006 combined with the traditional methods.ResultsThe scores of clinical skill tests ( posterior thorax puncture test, abdomen puncture test, bone puncture, catheterization test) were significantly higher in grade 2006 than in grade 2005 with statistical differences,P < 0.01.The clinical skill test scores were not statistically different between grade 2005 and 2006 before training,P > 0.05,but the scores were statistically different between grade 2005and 2006 after training,P < 0.05.Conclusion Using polynary teaching methods synthetically is helpful to improve the clinical skill training effect for medical international students.

Chinese journal of integrative medicine 2005;11(2):156-160
Oxidation and free radicals participate in the pathological process of multiple diseases in organisms, and acupuncture shows good effect in antagonizing oxygen stress (OS). This article reviews the effect of acupuncture in antagonizing oxygen stress and the mechanism of its anti-free radical effect in various diseases. The authors hold that acupuncture not only has a chain-blocking effect, but also has preventive and repairing effects of anti-oxidation. And anti-OS action is one of the important mechanisms of acupuncture.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(4):364-368
Abstract
Long-term use of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease can cause motor complications, which seriously impair the patients'motor function, reduce the quality of life, and aggravate the functional disability. Since there has been no effective treatment for motor complications, clarifying the influencing factors and prevention methods are conducive to reducing the risk of incidence and improving the quality of life of the patients. This paper summarizes the types and mechanism of motor complications of Parkinson's disease, the influencing factors ( levodopa dose, onset age, Helicobacter pylori infection and high protein diet ) and preventive measures ( psychological intervention, low protein diet, rehabilitation exercise and drugs ), so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of the disease.

Objective To learn the information about the parents' knowledge and inquiry to the nursing participating of the consultant. Methods One hundred and twenty cases of parents were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire. The rates of grade data was accomplished with statistical analysis. Results Knowledge of consultant: 82.5 percent eases parents knew their fight of consultant provided by the hospital. 70.32 percent of parents were satisfied with the nursing consultant for them. Parents of different ages had different ideas about the consultant contents and ranges provided by the doctors and nurses (P < 0.01). Styles of consulting: 67.5 percent of parents wanted to be consulted in prior. 53.33 percent wanted to be consulted at the suitable situation and be informed part of the contents. 78.53 percent wanted to be informed by the nurse in charge of the children. Lines of the consulting contents : the former three ones are as followings, staff of the department, environment, rules and discipline;kinds of the diet;function of the medication, purposes of the tests, items to be care about. Conclusions Parents agreed with the nursing consulting in the practice of medical affairs. More sufficient nursing consultants were needed. Consultant was the basic insure of their informed consents.
