International Eye Science 2017;17(7):1378-1380
AIM:To investigate the safety and complications of femtosecond laser corneal small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE) procedure and discuss the prevention and treatment.METHODS: We retrospectively studied the complications of 403 patients(799 eyes) with myopia and myopic astigmatism treated by SMILE.RESULTS: All the patients underwent the operation successfully.Only 1 case(1 eye)suffered from dark spot and changed to femtosecond laser-assisted LASIK(FS-LASIK), 5 cases(5 eyes, 0.6%) suffered from the suction loss, 11 cases (17 eyes, 2.1%) developed opaque bubble layer. All patients gained perfect uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA) (20/20).The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) did not decrease after operations. The incidence of haze and diffuse lamellar keratitis was low (0.3% and 0.4%, respectively)and no other complications were observed. There was 9 eyes in 6 patients (1.1%) found regression of refraction at 6mo after surgery, while the UCVA of rest patients reached 1.0 at 3mo after surgery.CONCLUSION: The SMILE procedure has high safety for myopia and myopic astigmatism.Effective prevention and management of the complications is the key to achieve the satisfactory visual acuity.

Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2013;19(12):955-960
Primovist is a newly developed hepatocytespecific agent that is transported into the hepatocyte through organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs) and excre ted into bile through canalicular multiorganic anion trans porters.Primovist uptake is usually reduced in HCC cells that present hypointensity on the hepatobiliary phase, there fore this agent may help differentiate HCC from other neoplasms and improve histological grading. This article will further explore the use of Primovist in liver cirrhosis and small hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective To explore influence of Naoxintong capsule combined with edaravone on clinical efficacy and vascular endothelial function of patients with type-2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction. Methods 80 cases of patients with type-2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction treated in Shengsi People's Hospital in Zhejiang from January 2014 to January 2016 were selected as the objects, and were divided into control group and study group randomly, forty-one cases in each group. The control group were given edaravone treatment, and the study group were added Naoxintong capsule on the basis of the control group, treatment for two weeks in the two groups.Clinical therapeutic effect of the two groups and changes of TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were compared, and scores of nerve function defect and daily life ability were evaluated, and changes of blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels were detected, and endothelin ( ET-1 ) , nitric oxide ( NO ) , thromboxane B2 ( TXB2 ) and 6-keto prostaglandin F1(6-keto-PGF1) were tested before and after treatment in the two groups.Adverse reactions were observed in the two groups in treatment. Results The total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05), and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly decreased after treatment in the two groups(P<0.05), which of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, NIHSS score of the two groups significantly decreased(P<0.05), and ADL score significantly increased(P<0.05), and changes of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P <0.05).Fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels significantly decreased in the two groups(P<0.05), which of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( P <0.05 ).Levels of ET-1 and TXB2 significantly decreased ( P <0.05 ) , levels of NO and 6-keto-PGF1 significantly increased ( P <0.05 ) , and changes in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion The effect is obvious of Naoxintong capsule combined with edaravone in treratment of patients with type-2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction, and can improve vascular endothelial function of patients. It can be widely used in clinical.

Objective To investigate the role of 15 kinds of growth regulatory factors in the pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods 15 kinds of growth regulatory factors involving cell proliferation and apoptosis were studied by immunohistochemistry with computer assisted quantitative image analysis. The mean percent area densities of stroma, epithelium and glandular lumen in BPH were examined by quantitative image analysis. Results Positive relations were found bewteen expressions of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF),transforming growth factor ?, fibronectin, type Ⅳ collagen and proportions of stroma (r=0.323?0.278?0.235?0.241,P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2017;33(10):1333-1337
Small cell lung cancer(SCLC) is a type of neuroendcorine cancer with high growth fraction, early metastatic spread and poor prognosis, accounting for approximately 15% of all newly diagnosed lung cancer cases.Patients with SCLC are generally treated with platinum-based chemotherapy in combination with radiotherapy.Despite good responses to chemotherapy in the early stage of treatment, patients develop drug resistance and recurrence soon. There has been limited success with the targeted approaches in clinical trials completed in the past several years.Novel targeted and more effective treatment strategies for SCLC are in urgent need With increasing translational research and a better understanding of the molecular basis of small cell lung cancer, a number of new targeted drugs such as kinase inhibitors, angiogenesis inhibitors, apoptosis inducers, proteasome inhibitors, epigenetic regulators, immune checkpoint inhibitors have been developed and investigated in various preclinical studies. Some of them have entered clinical trials. At the same time, a number of novel treatment strategies such as immunotherapy and combination treatment receive attention. This review summarizes potentially molecular targeted therapies that have been developed and employed recently, and ongoing and future clinical trials in attempt to improve patient outcomes in SCLC, and meanwhile to invite future potential SCLC new treatment strategies.

A 16-year-old "female" patient presented as hypertension, hypokalemia, male pseudohermaphroditism, lowered gonadal steroids and cortisol, elevated adre nocorticotropic hormone and pituitary gonadotropin, and 46 XY karyotype. The pat ient was diagnosed as 17?-hydroxylase deficiency,a rare case of congenital ad r enal hyperplasia."She" chose to remain female appearance and social gender af te r negotiation with the parents.Cryptor-chidism of both inguinal canals was surgi cally removed for preventing canceration. After the surgery,a very small daily dose of dexamethasone(0.187 5 mg at bedtime)was enough to control hypertension and hypokalemia, and the therapy of conjugated estrogens(Premarin)was given t o promote the development of female characters. After 6 months of treatment, nor motension and normokalemia remained, and pubarche and mammogenesis emerged.
