China Pharmacy 2001;0(10):-
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the economic effectiveness of three angiotension-converting enzyme inhibitor(ACEI) in treating patients with essential hypertension.METHODS:186 patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into three groups receiving enalapril, fosinopril and perindopril respectively. The results were evaluated with pharmacoeconomic analysis.RESULTS:In treatment of hypertension, enalapril was minimal in cost.CONCLUSION:Therapeutic effect will be improved and cost decreased when pharmacoeconomic cost-effectiveness analysis is used.

Objective To evaluate the significance of the expression CDK4 and CyclinD1 in renal carcinoma. Methods Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method was used to detect the expression level of CDK4 and CyclinD1 in 30 specimens of renal carcinoma tissue and 30 specimens of carcinoma-adjacent renal tissue. Results The expression level of CyclinD1 and CDK4 gene in renal carcinoma tissue was higher than that in carcinoma-adjacent renal tissues (P

BACKGROUND:Surface marker molecules and differential ability of human adipose tissues-derived mesenchymal stem cells can change with the prolonged culture time.OBJECTIVE:To analyze the morphological characteristics and colony forming capacity of early cultured rabbit adipose tissues-derived mesenchymal stem cells in vitro.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The cytological in vitro study was performed at the Institute of Ophthalmology, and Central Laboratory,Eye and ENT Hospital,Fudan University from January to March 2008.MATERIALS:Nine female New Zealand rabbits aged three months were obtained from the Shanghai Yingenyang Rabbit Room.METHODS:Adipose tissue was harvested from the nape fat pad of the New Zealand rabbits following anesthesia.Primary cultured cells were established using type I collagenase and cell cultures were maintained with DMEM containing 0.1 volume fraction of fetal bovine serum.Cells were passaged when 80% was confluent. The second, third and fourth passages of cells were utilized for the study.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The morphology of adipose tissues-derived mesenchymal stem cells was observed using inverted microscope.Cell phenotype was detected utilizing flow cytometry. The cloning capacity was determined.RESULTS:Adipose tissues-derived mesenchymal stem cells were fibroblast-like and proliferated rapidly in vitro at the second, third and fourth passage.Flow cytometry showed that adipose tissues-derived mesenchymal stem cells expressed CD29 and PCNA.The colony-forming rates were respectively(8.0?0.6)%,(6.7?0.4)% and(4.6?0.5)%(F=12.18,P

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyps and its effect on nasal ventilation and olfactory function.Methods:80 patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps were selected in our hospital from January 2014 to June 2016,who were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each group of 40 cases. The control group was treated with traditional enucleation, while the observation group was treated with endoscopic sinus surgery. The clinical efficacy, the symptom scores, nasal airway resistance and olfactory function score before treatment and 3 months after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group 77.50% (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in nasal congestion, purulent nasal discharge, olfactory dysfunction, pain and total symptom score between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05),nasal congestion, purulent nasal discharge, olfactory dysfunction, pain and total symptom score between the two groups at 3 months after treatment were lower than before treatment, and nasal pus, smell disorder, pain and total symptom scores of the patients in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in nasal airway resistance and olfactory function score between the two groups before treatment and 3 months after treatment (P>0.05),nasal airway resistance, olfactory function score of patients in two groups at 3 months after treatment were lower than before treatment, and the observation group was lower than that ofthe control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Endoscopic sinus surgery for sinusitis and nasal polyps is helpful to improve the clinical symptoms, promote the olfactory function and recovery of nasal ventilation, which is an effective method for treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyps.

Previous studies have suggested that glutathione-S-transferase π (GST-π) over-expression in the brain tissue is associated with refractory epilepsy. However, whether the change in GST-π level in the peripheral blood is in line with that in brain tissue remains unknown. This study examined the correlation between GST-π in brain tissue and that in peripheral blood in rat models of pilocarpine-induced refractory epilepsy. The animals were divided into drug-resistant group and drug-responsive group according to the response to anti-epileptic drugs. GST-π expression in brain tissue was immunohistochemically determined, while the expression of GST-π in peripheral blood was analyzed by Western blotting. In the hippocampus and cortex, GST-π was mainly found in the cytoplasm and membrane of neurons, and the GST-π expression level was higher in drug-resistant group than in the drug-responsive group and saline control group (P<0.05). Moreover, there was no significant difference between responders and saline control animals (P>0.05). The change in expression of GST-π in peripheral blood showed the same pattern as that in brain tissues, suggesting GST-π might contribute to drug resistance in epilepsy. Importantly, the GST-π over-expression in peripheral blood could be used as a marker for resistance to anti-epileptic agents.

Objective To investigate the effect of flavopiridol on the proliferation, invasiveness and apoptosis of human prostate cancer cell line LNCaP,and to explore the possibility of its application in clinical treatment. Methods MTT assay was used to detect cell proliferation, cell invasion in vitro was detected by Transwell assay, and flow cytometer was used to observe apoptosis. Results Flavopiridol inhibited the growth of LNCaP cells in a concentration-dependent and time-dependent way (P < 0.05),and reduced the ability of invasion capacity. After treated by 10 nmol/L flavopiridol for 24 h,the apoptosis rate was increased significantly to (7.5±0.9) % compared with the control group [(5.3±0.5) %] (P < 0.05).Conclusion Flavopiridol can inhibit proliferation of LNCaP cells and induce apoptosis, which may be applicable for the treatment of prostate cancer.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of continuous suture by QuillTM SRS self-retaining suture for closing choledoch incision. Methods From January 2015 to October 2015, 66 patients with gall bladder calculi combined with common bile duct stones who received laparoscopic gallbladder excision, common bile duct explo-ration, laparoscopy choledochotomy, suture choledoch immediately were randomly divided into two groups, experi-mental group using QuillTM SRS self-retaining suture for closing choledoch incision and control group using tradi-tional absorbable suture for closing choledoch incision. Then observe the operation time, the risk of bile leakage oc-curred in the operation and the risk of bile leakage after operation. Results All patients successfully completed in laparoscopic surgery without laparotomy. Operation time, the risk of bile leakage occurred during operation in exper-imental group has statistically significant difference compared with control group ( < 0.05). The operation time and incidence of intraoperative bile leakage of the experimental group was less and lower than control group, while the risk of bile leakage after operation show no statistically difference ( >0.05). Conclusion Compared with interrupted suture by normal sutures, continuous suture by QuillTM SRS self-retaining suture for closing choledoch incision has the characteristics of shorter operation time and lower incidence of intraoperative and postoperative bile leakage. It is worthy of promoting.
