AIM To investigate the protective effects and mechanisms of TMP on accelerated anti-glomerulus basement membrane(GBM) antibody nephritis of rats. METHODS Model of accelerated anti-GBM nephritis was established in rats and TMP was administrated 120 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 by ip since the day before the model established, consecutively for 15 days. Content of 24h urine protein was detected after model established and rats were killed on d 7 and d 14. Contents of blood urine nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (SCr) were detected. Renal cortex cytoplasm and mitochondria were produced and change of content of lipid peroxidation products malondialdehyde(MDA), activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) and catalase(CAT) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) were investigated. OBJECTIVE To investigate the TORCH infection of women with childbearing age in Chongqing.(METHODS) Special IgM antibodies were detected by the TORCH-IgM screen test kits in 2067 women with(childbearing) age,among them 1829 were women with normal childbearing and 238 were women with abnormal one.RESULTS The infection rate of Toxoplasma gondii(TOX),Rubella virus(RV),Cytomegalovirus(CMV) in women with abnormal childbearing was significantly higher than those in women with normal one(P(0.05)).CONCLUSIONS The(abnormal) pregnancy is (related) with TORCH infection.So TORCH screen before pregnancy is very important to aristogenesis.

Objective To study the clinical application of the lung lesion biopsy through helical CT-guided fine needle aspiration. Methods 44 cases of lung lesions were pathologically biopsy diagnosed through helical CT-guided fine needle aspiration. Results All 44 lung lesions were successfully conducted biopsy through CT-guided fine needle aspiration, and the pathological confirmed diagnosis rate was 98%. Conclusion With high diagnosis rate, CT- fine needle aspiration is clinically applicable and the complication is rare. It is easily-operated, safe and economical.

Objective To investigate the effect on the menstrual patterns and sexual quality of life of patients with adenomyosis after treated with Mirena IUD.Methods56 patients with adenomyosis who were treated with Mirena IUD were recruited from August 2009 to December 2009.We used Menstrual blood loss chart method,Dysmenorrhea score method and Brief Index of Sexual Function for Women (BISF-W) to evaluate the menstrual pattern,the volume of uterus and sexual quality after1,3,6,9,12 months.{Results53 patients were followed up,the rate was 94.6%.The condition of 56 patients became better after treated with Mirena for 3,6,9,12 months,dysmenorrhea[Placed before:(3.15±0.91)points;After placing:(1.41±0.51)points,(0.22±0.09)points,(0.07±0.01)points,0 points]and menstrual quantity[Placed before:(12.0±57.5)points;After placing:(71±23.1)points,(29±19.4)points,(18±10.5)points,(10±4.7)points]were both reduced(P＜0.05),the symptoms were not significantly improved after 1 month(P＞0.05).D2 indicators was significantly improved after 3 months of treatment (P＜0.05),sexual function was also improved after 6 months(P＜0.05～0.01).ConclusionsMirena IUD has a good effect on the menstrual pattern and sexual function for patients with adenomyosis.

ObjectiveTo compare the surgical outcomes of total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH) and total vaginal hysterectomy (TVH).MethodsThe clinical data of 509 TAH cases and 799 TVH cases including operating time, bleeding volume, days being in hospital and outcome of 3 months following-up were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsThe average operating time and bleeding volume of TVH were 47.6 minutes and 199 ml respectively, less than that of TAH (128 minutes and 241 ml). The days being in hospital of TVH were also less that of TAH, and 12-Short Form Health Survey (SF-12) scores of TVH were higher than that of TAH.ConclusionTVH has minor lesion and is helpful for improving the quality of patients' life.

Objective To explore the role of monitoring the cellular immune function in preventing and treating the fungal infection in the recipients of liver transplantation. Methods 679 cadaveric liver transplantations (from Jan. 2004 to Jan. 2010) were retrospectively studied. All the cases were divided into 3 groups according to different treatments and preventing regimens. The patients in groups A, B, C were treated based on the clinical experiences (394 cases), T lymphocyte subsets counting (151 cases), and combination of ATP values of CD4+ T cell and T lymphocyte subsets counting (134 cases), respectively. The infection, mortality and acute rejection rate were analyzed. The relationship between fungal infection and cellular immune function was investigated.Results The fungal infection rate in groups A, B, and C was 28. 9 %, 21.2 %, and 19. 4 % (P<0. 05), the morbidity rate was 16. 7 %, 12. 5%, and 3. 8% (P>0. 05), and the acute rejection rate was 28. 4 %, 17. 2 %, and 13. 4 % (P<0. 01), respectively. The CD4+ T lymphocyte counting in all cases of fungal infection was (147±43)×106/L. The morbidity could reach 50. 0 % when the CD4+ T lymphocyte counting < 100 ×106/L, while it was 2. 4 % when the counting was between (100-200) ×106/L (P<0. 01). The CD4+ T lymphocyte counting had no linear relation with the ATP value.The ATP value in fungal infection cases was (117 ± 61)μg/L. Conclusion The cellular immune function test could be quantitatively evaluated according to the T lymphocyte subsets and ATP value of CD4+ T lymphocyte. And individualized immunosuppressive therapy could be adjusted accordingly.Therefore, cellular immune function could be instructive in preventing and treating the fungal infection after liver transplantation.

Objective To investigate the effect of pelvic autonomic nerve preservation (PANP) for urinary function and sexual dysfunction after total mesorectal excision (TME) of rectal cancer in male patients. Methods A total of 147 patients, hospitalized from March 2009 to March 2010,were enrolled into this study and received TME plus PANP combination treatment. The clinical data of these cases were analyzed retrospectively. Results There were no operative deaths. The 0. 5 - 1.0 years follow-up data showed that 9 cases (6. 12% ) had voiding dysfunction, 11 cases (7.48%) had sexual dysfunction, 12 cases ( 8.16% ) had local recurrence. Conclusion TME plus PANP combination treatment can improve the urinary and sexual function,without increasing the postoperative local recurrence rate.

AIM: To investigate the action of testosterone on atherosclerosis in a rabbit model. METHODS: 37 male cholesterol-fed rabbits were divided into five groups: castration group: castrated rabbits without exogenous testosterone administration; testosterone Ⅰ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 0.25 mg?kg -1?d -1; testosterone Ⅱ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 2.5 mg?kg -1?d -1; testosterone Ⅲ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 12.5 mg?kg -1?d -1. The sham operation group was also set. Three months later, the levels of testosterone, blood lipids (including TG, HDL-C, LDL-C), PAI activity, nitric oxide (NO) content, endothelin (ET), angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ) in blood were detected. RESULTS: It showed that testosterone in castration group was the lowest. There was no significant difference of TG or LDL-C between castration group and the other four groups. HDL-C in castration group was lower than that in other four groups. NO content of castration group was lower than that in others, but PAI activity, ET and AngⅡ concentration were higher than that in other groups. CONCLUSION: Testosterone is a protective factor against atherosclerosis in male rabbits.
