5.Sensory integration function in children with primary nocturnal enuresis.
Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2008;10(5):611-613
OBJECTIVETo assess the sensory integration function of children with primary nocturnal enuresis (PNE) and explore the role of sensory integration dysfunction in the pathogenesis of PNE.
METHODSSensory integration function was assessed by the Childhood Sensory Integration Ability Development Checklist in 46 children with PNE and 46 normal children (control).
RESULTSThe incidence of sensory integration dysfunction in the PNE group (82.6%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (43.5%)(P<0.01). Seventeen patients (36.9%) presented with severe sensory integration dysfunction in the PNE group but only 1 (2.1%) in the control group (P<0.01). The scores of all nine sensory integration indexes revealed by sensory integration function testing in the PNE group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONSChildren with PNE have sensory integration dysfunction. Sensory integration dysfunction may be associated with the pathogenesis of PNE.

In this study,a panel of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),named as 8C9 and4B4,were produced by fusing SP2/0 myeloma cells and spleen cells of BALB/c mice immunized with the PRRSV (TCID50=5.5),screened by the indirect ELISA and subjected to several limiting dilutions.mAbs were then identified by biological characterization.Among the two fusion cell strains,8C9 belonged to the IgG1 subclass and 4B4 belonged to the IgG2a subclass. The titers in cell culture supernatant and abdomen liquor reached to 1:104and 1:105,respectively.The specificity test indicated that the two cells had specific reactions for the PRRSV and GP5 protein respectively, and no reaction with Classical swine fever virus (CSFV) or Swine vesicular disease virus (SVDV).The molecular weights of the heavy chain and light chain were about 45.0 kDa and 25.0 kDa,respectively. In neutralization activity tests, the results showed that the prepared mAb 4B4 can protect 50% of cells with no CPE in dilution up to 1:512,but mAB 8C9 has no neutralization activities to PRRSV.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(3):287-289
Objective To study the effects of systemic irradiation and conglutinant drug W11-a12 on the number and some functions of wound nentrophils (Neu). Methods Wound Neu was collected from sponges which were implanted in rat's dorsum incision. The number of Neu, as well as the phagocytic function and motility of wound Neu were measured. Results After 4,6,8 Gy systemic irradiation, the number of white blood cells and Neu in wound, as well as the phagocytic function and chemotactic motility of wound Neu, were significantly decreased at 24 h, 48 h after wounding. W11-a12 markedly increased the number of wound Neu, improved the phagocytic function and chemotactic motility of wound Neu at 24 h, 48 h after wounding despite the rats were radiated or not. Conclusion The results indicated that the decreased number and function of wound Neu in the early stage of wound healing contributed to the impairment of repair after systemic irradiation. W11-a12 accelerated normal and irradiation-impaired wound healing partly by increasing the number of wound Neu and improving the Neu function.

Objective To evaluate the effect of multiple intervention measures on perioperative antimicrobial use in pa-tients undergoing typeⅠincision operation in a hospital, and provide basis for rational use of antimicrobial agents. Methods 9 823 patients with type I incision operation in April and October of 2005-2012 were surveyed retrospectively, data of 2005 was as baseline, from 2006 to 2012,multiple measures, including training,examination,supervision,feed-back,and cooperation of relevant departments were conducted, antimicrobial use before and after intervention was com-pared.Results The qualified rate of perioperative antimicrobial use in patients undergoing typeⅠ incision operation in-creased from 14.20% in 2006 to 92.30% in 2012;the rate of combined use of antimicrobial agents was relatively higher (7.00%-9.00%)in 2006-2009,had a downward trend in 2010- 2012,and decreased to 3.20% in 2012.Types of an-timicrobial agents for prophylactic use in typeⅠincision operation in 2006 and 2007 were similar to that of 2005,the main used antimicrobial agents were cephalosporins, penicillin and it’s compounds, and aminoglycosides;the major antimicrobial prophylaxis in 2008-2012 were the first and second generation cephalosporins, penicillin and it’s compounds.Multivariate non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that age (40 - 59 years old),departments (orthopedics, general surgery, and ophthalmology),and years (2011 and 2012)were the main influencing factors for the qualified use of antimicrobial agents(all P<0.05).Conclusion Implementation of multiple intervention measures can improve the qualified rate of perioperative antimicrobial use in typeⅠ incision operation, reduce types of antimicrobial use and rate of combined antimicrobial use.
