Objective To investigate the radiological characteristics and the relationships between the parameters by X?ray and direct magnetic resonance arthrography (dMRA) in non?completely dislocated dysplasia hips. Methods We retro?spectively reviewed patients (above 13 years old) with dysplasia hips from August 2009 to August 2012. These patients were classi?fied as Hartofilakidis typeⅠand typeⅡ. 188 patients (274 hips) involved 28 males (30 hips) and 160 females (244 hips), average aged 27.3 years (range 13-47 years). Standard pelvic A?P, bilateral 65° oblique X?rays, and dMRA were conducted in each pa?tient. Lateral central?edge angle (LCE), anterior central?edge angle (ACE), femoral neck?shaft angle (FNSA), and tonnis acetabu?lar index (AI) angle were measured based on the X?ray. The dysplasia hips were classified into 4 grades (GradeⅠ:CE 11°-20° , GradeⅡ:CE 1°-10°, GradeⅢ:CE-9°-0°, and GradeⅣ:CE≤-10°). Femoral neck anteversion angle (FNA), labral tear, labral inversion, and labral cyst was observed on dMRA films. Variance analysis and rank correlation were applied to find the relation?ship between CE grades and the relevant parameters by using SPSS 19.0. Results LCE has negative correlation with AI and grade of osteoarthritis, and has positive correlation with age, ACE. However, there was no relationship between FNSA and FNA. There was significantly different in Shenton's line, labral tear, labral inversion, cartilage lesion, among different grade of LCE. Conclusion LCE is an important parameter used in evaluating for dysplasia hips without complete dislocation. LCE can reflect age of onset, ACE, AI angle and degree of joint damages. Evaluation for the severity of non?completely dislocated dysplasia hips can be conducted according to grades of CE.

Objective To introduce a case of varicella.zoster virus(VZV)-related glomerulonephritis and encephalitis. Methods The clinical data and renal pathology were analyzed.Associated literatures were reviewed. Results A 15 years old male patient presented nephritic syndrome, nephrotic syndrome and renal dysfunction with reduced serum complement C3 level from the 5th day after he suffered from varicella. The pathological diagnosis of his kidney tissue was endocapillary proliferative glomerulonephritis with podocyte proliferation and severe renal tubular injury by light microscopy.Immunofluorescent and electron microscopic examinations showed "full-house"staining and granular electron-dense deposits in multiple sites.respectively. Furthermore.virus-like particles or/and inclusions could also be seen by electron microscopy and Mann staining light microscopy.Positive varicella-zoster virus (VZV) specific lgM antibody was detected by serum virological test.VZV antigen and RNA transcript were found in glomerular and tubular cells by immunohistochemical staining and in situ hybridization of renal tissues, respectively. The patient had epileptic episodes for many times in his disease course and his brain MRI and electroencephalogram findings accorded with viml encephalitis with secondary epilepsy. So,the diagnosis of VZV-related glomerulonephritis and encephalitis was established. Conclusion This is the first report of VZV-related glomerulonephritis and encephalitis confirmed by serum virology and tissue virology.

Objective To investigate the xenotransplantation model of fetal pig skin precursor tissue and its development after transplantaion. Methods Porcine skin precursor tissue was obtained from the embryo of gestation day 56 (E56), and made into microskin or stamp skin graft. The microskin was transplanted to the dorsal wound in BALB/c nude mice, then covered with human corpse skin. The stamp skin graft was imbedded subcutaneously into the back of nude mice, and microskin was injected subcutaneously into the auricles of nude mice. Their growth and development were observed and they were examined by HE staining at 6th and 12th week after transplantation respectively. Two-sample t test was used to analyze the size of newly grown skin tissue. Results Porcine skin precursor tissue graft in three models above survived and continued growth after transplantation, and growth ability of the dorsal wound transplantation model was significantly stronger than that of the auricle model. Epidermis and hypodermis were detected in newly grown skin tissues. Hair follicles, a few of sebaceous glands, but no sweat glands were observed in auricle model, while many sebaceous glands and sweat glands were observed in the dorsal wound model. Conclusion Transplantation of microskin to dorsal wound is the optimal model of investigating the xenotransplantation of fetal pig skin precursor tissue and its development after transplantion.
