Objective To study the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of deep angiomyxoma(DAM). Methods Seven cases of DAM were collected from 2000 to 2008. All the patients were examined by microscopy and immunohistochemistry. Results 6 patients with DAM were females and 1 was male, with median age of 48.5 years. Median maximum dimension was 5.9cm, with invasive growth pattern. The tumor cells of DAM were infantile, spindle or stellate, diffuse and nodular arrangement. A distinctive histologic feature of DAM was its vascularity. Non-arborizing, thin-wall, ectastic capillaries or more commonly, small thick-wall vessels were dispersed throughout the tumor. Mast cells and extravasated red blood cells were frequently found in the stroma, immunohistochemical study showed that 7 cases were positive for vimentin, desmin, ER and PR, 5 for CD34 and SMA, and negative for S-100 and CK. Conclusion DAM is a rare soft tumor that occurs principally in the vulval and vagina region of woman. Misdiagnosis has happened frequently. Immunohistochemical staining are helpful to diagnosis for DAM, but no significance to distinguish it.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2006;0(12):-
Perforator stroke(PS)is one of peri-procedural complications associated with stenting of intracranial arterial stenosis.A lot of perforator arteries are derived from intracranial arteries with difference from coronary arteries, because once the intracranial perforator arteries of crucial regions are occluded, may lead to fatal prognosis.Three hypothesis have been used to explain PS including snow-plowing,stent jailing effect and in-stent neointimal growth. In vivo models, investigators have already found these phenomenas. After much attention been paid on PS,authors have published a report covered with a large amount of cases in 2006. The author figured out that patients with perforator infarct adjacent to the stenotie segment(PIAS)under MRI beforehand would have higher chance occurring PS after stenting of intracranial stenosis. The patients with priority of PS easily are affected by the morphology, location, etiology, sites, the type and equipments. Many yet unsolved problems including the prevention would arouse us to go deeper into for the exploration of the mechanism.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:858-862)

Objective To observe the clinical effect on cervicogenic headache (CEH) of pulsed radiofrequency stimulation (PRF) applied to the C2 dorsal root ganglion combined with nerve block. Methods A total of 78 cases diagnosed as CEH were randomly divided into a combined treatment group,a PRF treatment group and a nerve block group. The combined treatment group was given both PRF applied to the C2 dorsal root ganglion and blocking therapy. The other two groups were given only one treatment or the other. All the treatments were once weekly for 3 weeks. Before treatment and 1,3 and 6 months after treatment, all of the patients' headaches were evaluated using a visual analogue scale (VAS).Results At 1,3 and 6 months after treatment, the average VAS scores of all three groups had decreased significantly. The VAS ratings dropped the most in the combined treatment group, followed by the PRF group and then the nerve block group. All the intergroup differences were statistically significant. The combined treatment group's cure rate (88%) was significantly better than that of the PRF group (81%),which was significantly better than that of the nerve block group (54%).Conclusion Combining PRF applied to the C2dorsal root ganglion with nerve block therapy has a synergistic effect on CEH.The curative effect of the combined treatment was better than either PRF or blocking alone.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(6):848-54
Aim of the present study is to investigate activation effect of nobiletin on cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) chloride channel activity. CFTR-mediated iodide influx assay and patch-clamp tests were done on FRT cells stably co-transfected with human CFTR and EYFP/H148Q. Nobiletin potently activated CFTR chloride channel activity in a dose- and time-dependent manner. The CFTR blocker CFTR(inh)-172 could completely reverse the effect. Preliminary mechanism study indicated that nobiletin activated CFTR chloride channel through a direct binding way. In addition, ex vivo tests done on mice trachea showed that nobiletin time-dependently stimulated submucosal gland fluid secretion. Nobiletin may be a therapeutic lead compound in treating CFTR-related diseases including disseminated bronchiectasis.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the distribution and clinical significance of CD8+ T cells in bladder cancer tissues in situ. Methods Immunohistochemistry were used to examine the distribution of CD8+ T cells in bladder cancer tissues, which were obtained from January 2003 to December 2009 from 302 patients.Among all the patients,262 were male while 40 were female;mean age is 60 years;tumor size ≤ 3 cm was in 235 and tumor size > 3 cm was in 67;Unifocal tumor was in 214 and multifocal tumors were in 88.Amount of tumor stage Ta-T1 was 212 and T2-T4 was 90.Sixteen patients have lymph node metastasis.Histological low grade was diagnosed in 175 and histological high grade was diagnosed in 127.According to the differences between anatomic structure and cellular composition, bladder tumor tissues can be classified to two localization patterns:(1) intratumoral regions, defined as tumor cell nests;(2) stromal regions, defined as stromal areas that lack direct contact with tumor cells. Therefore,we divided 302 bladder cancer patients into two groups based on the median frequency of intratumoral CD8+ T cells (median,3/× 400 high resolution) and stromal CD8+ T cells (median,37/× 400 high resolution),respectively.x2 analysis was used to evaluated the correlation between CD8+ T cell density and clinicalpathological variables.Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards regression models were applied to estimate overall survival (OS).Results CD8+ T cells were predominantly located in the intratumoral regions (mean,14 ± 2/× 400 high resolution) rather than in associated stromal regions (mean,50 ± 3/× 400 high resolution,P < 0.05).The density of intratumoral CD8+ T cells was inversely associated with age (P =0.026),tumor size (P < 0.05) and tumor stage (P < 0.05),and could represent a favorable prognostic predictor of OS (HR =0.427,P =0.003).However,the density of stromal CD8+ T cells was positively associated with age (P =0.004) and histological grade (P < 0.01),and could represent an adverse prognostic predictor of OS (HR =2.206,P =0.009).Conclusions Our findings suggest that intratumoral/ stromal CD8+ T cells could potentially serve as favorable/ adverse prognostic markers for bladder cancer patients, respectively.
