The annual Live Interventional Neuroradiology & Neurosurgery Course(LINNC) is one of the most important congresses in the neurosurgery and neuroradiology field.LINNC 2009 was held on May 25th this year and lasted for 3 days.In this article, the authors introduced the main points of the congress. The congress mainly discussed some hot topics at present time, including both the clinical and fundamental studies of cerebral arteriovenous malformation, ischemic cerebral disease and intracranial aneurysm, etc. Both neurological and neuroradiological case demonstrations related to the topics, and the main course of the congress were alternately performed.Recent advances in imaging technique and clinical application, such as Dyna-CT and Xper-CT, were also presented on the congress.
4.Ningxin Granule for Pediatric Viral Myocarditis:A Clinical Observation of 30 Cases
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(02):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Ningxin Granule Heart-Quieting Granule for pediatric viral myocarditis. Methods Totally 60 cases of pediatric viral myocarditis were randomly divided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30).There was no significant difference between two groups in sexuality, age and pathogenetic condition.Patients in treatment group took Ningxin Granule, while ATP,CoA,Vit C,Inosine and Ribavirin were given to control group by intravenous drip. Results The treatment group was superior to control group in relieving symptoms, reducing the bearing premature,CK-MB,cTnI and LVEDD,and increasing LVEF.Conclusion Ningxin Granule can obviously relieve symptoms and signs, reduce the bearing premature, decrease the level of myocardial enzyme and improve the cardiac function.

The study on the Rauvolfia verticillata (Lour.) Baill., which belongs to Apocynaceae, was carried out to look for its chemical constituents and pharmacological activity. The isolation and purification were performed by chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and ODS (octadecyl silane) open column. The structures of obtained compounds were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis. Three indole alkaloids and one acridone alkaloid were isolated from chloroform layer extract and identified as ajmalicine B (1), sandwicine (2), raunescine (3) and 7-hydroxynoracronycine (4) separately. Ajmalicine B (1) is a new compound belonging to indole alkaloid. Compound 4 as an acridone alkaloid was a new type compound isolated from Rauvolfia genus for the first time. We also did some biological activity research on the new type compound (4) to explore other pharmacological activities in addition to antihypertensive activity.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(6):511-513
With the development of the medical imageology, the lumbar pain resulted from vertebral compression of the anterior column can be treated through percutaneous vertebroplasty (PV). PV has some advantages, such as short operative time, definite pain release, less complications and better security. However, there are some indications and contraindications in PV. PV can reach the prospective effect after handling these indications and contraindications. The authors reviewed the predominance, anatomy, indications, contraindications, assessment before the operation, operative methods, complications of PV in this article.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2013;33(12):1118-1122
OBJECTIVEThe demographic characteristics of acupuncture outpatient in China is investigated so as to provide clinical evidence for the establishment of acupuncture indication.
METHODSClinical epidemiological table was adopted to do cluster multistage random sampling in 36 hospitals of 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) in 2008. The composition ratios of all indices were analyzed with SPSS 13.0 software. And trend analysis was carried out on the patient's demographic characteristics and the age distribution of clinical indications.
RESULTSIn the year 2008, 31 858 cases of out patients from 36 hospitals of 6 administrative regions were collected. There were totally 14 411 male patients (45.2%) and 17 447 (54.8%) female. The gender ratio of male and female was 82: 100. The average age of the patients was (50.6 +/- 17.7) years old. The number of patients over 45 years old was more obvious than groups of other ages (P<0.05). Age differences can be found in those 6 regions (P<0.05). Clinical symptoms varied according to different ages of the patients. Different characteristics of age distribution of acupuncture indications were held to exist (P=0.000).
CONCLUSIONAt the present, differences of gender, age and region can be found in out patients of acupuncture clinic. And the result shows that the number of female patients is more than male, with a large proportion of patients over 45 years old. Differences of age distribution characteristics of acupuncture indications still exist, which is considered to have the relation with the dominate indications of acupuncture and aging of the population.
