1.Association between the drug-metabolizing enzyme gene polymorphisms and toxicity of methotrexate in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;39(3):274-276
With advances on drug genomics of leukemia,the drug toxicity has been found to be associated with the drug metabolism gene polymorphisms in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.Current researches are to focuse on how to find a genotype to predict methotrexate toxicity effectively and treat patients individually.This review illustrates the association between three drug-metabolizing enzyme gene polymorphisms including methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase,reduced folate carrer and glutathione S-transferase and toxicity of methotrexate.
3.Pharmaconutrition and critical ill
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2017;24(1):23-27
The research to improve outcomes in critically ill patients through nutrition support has steadily progressed over the past 4 decades. One current approach to this problem is the addition of specific nutrients as primary therapy to improve host defenses and improve the outcomes of critically ill patients. The field is referred to as“pharmaconutrition”,focusing investigations on each nutrient to understand its pharma-cological effects on immune and clinical outcomes. The purpose of this review was to introduce some of the known pharmaconutrients such as glutamine,arginine,ω-3 fatty acids,vitamin C,zinc,and selenium,regard-ing critical ill adults and children.
4.Nutrition risk screen tools for hospitalized children
Li HONG ;
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(2):77-81
Malnutrition is highly prevalent in hospitalized children and has been associated with rele-vant clinical outcomes.Timely nutrition risk screening and reasonable nutrition support therapy subsequently for the high risk patients is the best and standard way.Five nutrition risk screening tools have been developed to identify the nutritional risk in hospitalized children.Even though nutrition risk screening is a necessary part of standard pediatric care,there are no international standardized screening tools for pediatric inpatients so far.The near future will provide us with comparative data on teh exi sting tools which may oc ntribute to deve-loping a standard for admitted nutrti ion risk screening in pediatrics.

6.A study of optimal concentration of brain tissue extract of hypoxia-preconditioned mice to enhance tolerance of differentiated PC12 cells to hypoxia
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To investigate the effect of brain tissue extract of hypoxia-preconditioned mice (BHP) on tolerance of NGF-induced differentiated PC12 cells to hypoxia and the optimal concentration for protective effect.Methods:The mice model of acute repetitive hypoxia was reproduced and BHP was prepared.BHP was added into the cultures of 4~5 day differentiated PC12 cells and the final protein concentrations of BHP were 1.0、10.0、100.0?g/ml(BHP groups) respectively.Brain tissue ex- tract of normal mice(BN) at the same three protein concentrations were used as controls(BN groups) and PBS solvent control groups were also prepared in which only PBS was added(PBS groups).Then differentiated PC12 cells were cultured in hypoxia (2%O_2).After 24,48,72 hours'hypoxia,colorimetric method(OD_(570nm)) of tetrazolium salt MTT staining was adopted to determine cell viability and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) leakage assays were also conducted at the same time.Besides,apoptotic per- centages at late stage(72 hours' hypoxia) were detected.Results:After 24 hours' hypoxia,OD_(570nm) values of BHP groups with protein concentrations being 10.0、100.0?g/ml were significantly higher,but their LDH leakage percentages were significantly lower than those of BN groups with the same protein concentrations and of hypoxic PBS group.With hypoxia prolonging,BHP gradually lost the protective effect.At the time point of 72 hours' hypoxia,OD_(570nm) values of only BHP group at 100.0?g/ml protein concentration was significantly higher than that of the corresponding BN groups,its LDH leakage percentage and apop- totic percentage was significantly lower than those of the hypoxic PBS group.Conclusion:The effects of BHP on tolerance of differentiated PC12 cells to hypoxia depend on its concentrations and on its treating time.Besides,BHP at final concentration of 100.01?g/ml protein showed steady,prolonged protective effect.
7.Effect of sCD23 as a LIF enhancer
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(05):-
Cytokine-effects of soluble CD23(sCD23) were investigated in our laboratory. We found that sCD23 prepared by ourself could increase the migration inhibition effect of nomal peripheral blood leukocytes stimulated with PHA. It is proposed that sCD23 may have cytokine-like bioactivities on activated T cell and regulate immune response via an unknown mechanism.
8.The clinical value of Holter heart rate turbulence in the diagnosis of patients at high risk for coronary heart disease
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2014;21(2):207-209
Objective To explore the clinical value of Holter heart rate turbulence in diagnosis of patients at high risk for coronary heart disease.Methods 110 patients with suspected coronary artery disease,according to the results of coronary angiography (CAG),were divided into CAG positive group (67 cases) and CAG negative group (43 cases).Heart rate turbulence and heart rate variability were analyzed in two groups.The atrial fibrillation,atrial flutter,and pseudo-differential interference were removed,the qualified ventricular contraction was selected.Two parameters of HRT,the initial shock value (TO) and turbulence slope value (TS) were calculated.Results The average value of TO and TS was (0.36 ± 0.15) %,(1.98 ± 0.52) ms/RR in positive group,those in the negative group were (-0.87 ± 0.36) % and (4.83 ± 0.65) ms/RR,there were statistically significant differences between two groups (t =1.953,1.976,all P < 0.05).After 1 year follow-up,9 cases (13.44%) died in positive group,2 cases (4.65%) died in negative group,the difference was statistically significant (x2 =5.476,P < 0.05).Conclusion The heart rate turbulence with dynamic cardiogram can help to early diagnose the patients at high risk of coronary heart disease.It was important to improve the survival rate of patients.The method is simple,inexpensive,effective,which is worth promoting in the clinic.
