1.Thinking of improving management of hospital medical periodicals
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2009;22(4):247-249
The management of hospital medical periodicals is now facing many realistic problems such as management system of editorial department, ability of editorial team, quality of articles and outside living environment. Co-publishing periodicals with pharmaceutical enterprises, with foreign publications and innovating publishing model of periodicals have been adopted by some domestic hospitals. By studying cases of periodical management innovation, and summing up the latest domestic point of view on medical periodical management, this paper held the view that the hospital medical periodicals management should be grouped into the framework of hospital scientific research management. Basically, the hospital should focus on solving the problem of management system in priority;developing in a way of specialization, collectivization and brand-orientation;establishing of a high-level editorial team;strengthening international communication and publishing periodicals according to international rules.
2.Analysis on problems in patent management in hospitals and countermeasures
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2010;23(3):174-176,200
Patent competition has become one of the key issues of global competitions in economy, science and technology. In hospitals, the patent management strategy provides guidance for and impels knowledge innovation. However, hospital management is quite weak in China, which may have been caused by various reasons, such as the over enthusiasm for published paper and the technological achievement contrasted with negligence in patent application and exploitation. In the paper, countermeasures are proposed, which include the whole process management during the scientific research, setting up detail targets and standard procedures for patent management, training patent management staff, et al.

Currently, research and practice in the of hospital management in China are at low level. This paper agrees that the innovation of hospital research management should be based on scientific knowledge management, knowledge communities is a core component of knowledge management implementation in hospitals. This paper descripts the method that how to buide the knowledge community, for example, the types of knowledge community, hospital knowledge system, and the job title based knowledge map and process-oriented knowledge map.

Clinical work is the core of a hospital. The level of the clinical work and scientific research are the major indexes for the evaluation of a hospital or a clinician. However, there seems contradiction between the clinical work and scientific research. For hospital administration and clinicians, it is important to adopt clinical work as the center, and conduct research around the clinical practice, which will facilitate the transition from the scientific research to clinical application. Eventually the clinical work will improve and medical science will develop.

Objective To explore the clinical value of dual-energy CT lung perfusion imaging and perfusion scintigraphy in acute pulmonary embolism (PE) rabbit models. Methods Acute PE models were established in 20 rabbits with femoral vein injection of sponge as embolus materials, and 4 rabbits were injected saline as control group. Two hours after embolization, dual-energy CT and perfusion scintigraphy imaging were performed respectively. Taking the pathologicall findings as the reference standards, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) of both imaging methods were compared. CT values and enhancement degree (overlay value) of the embolic areas and normal pulmonary parenchyma were measured in DEPI image after embolization. Results Normal lung was color-coded as homogeneously yellowish red, perfusion scintigraphy displayed rarefaction or absence. The sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV of DEPI was 100%, 97.50%, 95.24%, 100%, and of perfusion scintigraphy was 67.50%, 81.25%, 64.29%, 83.33%, respectively. Increased CT values and overlay values of embolism areas in DEPI images were lower than those of normal pulmonary parenchyma (P<0.05). Conclusion DEPI has higher sensitivity and specificity than perfusion scintigraphy for detection of pulmonary emboli in an acute PE rabbit models.

To identify whether a highly repeated GT sequence from DCA1 promoter from Dunaliella salina, which have been proved to be a salt-inducible promoter in our previous study, would be a salt-inducible regulation element, different primers were designed to amplify 6 different-length fragments of DCA1 promoter from D.salina by PCR.After these fragments were respectively inserted into the HindⅢ-BamH I sites of the vector pU?GUS,serial expression vectors containing the gus gene were generated.D.salina cells transformed with these recombinant plasmids by electroporation were grown in liquid media containing different concentrations of sodium chloride respectively.GUS enzyme activity was measured histochemically and fluorometrically. The results revealed that 3 fragments containing GT repeated sequence drove the external gus gene expression and the expression pattern of the gus gene was regulated by the concentrations of sodium chloride.Additionally, the 2 fragments without tandem GT sequence drove the gus gene expression, but the expression pattern of the gus gene wasn't regulated by the concentration of sodium chloride; Also, the upstream fragment of the tandem GT sequence wasn't able to drive the gus gene expression. In conclusion, the highly repeated GT sequence from the DCA1 promoter plays an important role in the salt-inducible regulation of DCA1 promoter from D.salina and might be a novel salt-inducible element.

Objective:To synthesize the mental resilience of Chinese children tested with the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents (RSCA)to evaluate its status as well as the research status. Methods:Four Chinese elec-tronic databases including China Biology Medicine disc (CBM),VIP Database,China National Knowledge Infra-structure (CNKI)and WangFang Database were searched from database established to December 2014. Literatures that reported the mental resilience status of Chinese children tested with RSCA were included. A statistical formula was used to synthesize means and standard deviations to get a total score;the standard mean difference (SMD)and 95% confidence interval (95%CI)of scores measured with RSCA scale were used to conduct meta-analyses usingthe software of Review Manager 5. 2 for comparison between different subgroups. Results:Thirty-nine studies with 16 493 children were included for the final analysis. Quantitative synthesis results showed that the average total score of Chinese children was (3. 3 0. 6 ). The status of psychological resilience was at a good level. The average psychological resilience scores of girls, not left-behind children, urban children,Han children and not-only-child were higher than those of boys [SMD (95%CI):-0. 09 (-0. 14--0. 05 )],left-behind children [SMD (95%CI):-0. 37(-0. 56--0. 19)],rural children [SMD (95%CI):0. 26(0. 13 -0. 38)],minority children [SMD (95%CI):0. 12(0. 04-0. 21)]and only-children [SMD (95%CI):0. 30(0. 16-0. 44)]respectively. Conclusion:The mental resilience of Chinese children is modest with internal diversity.
