Depressive disorders are very common in older people.Most of the patients suffered from depressive disorders seek help from non-mental health professional in general hospitals.To help physicians in general hospitals to recognize and treat depressive disorders in the elderly,a case report on unrelieved chest pain after coronary artery stents is presented in this paper,and then clinical manifestation, diagnostic criteria, clinical assessment, principles for antidepressants and psychotherapies to alleviate depressive symptoms are introduced.

Objective To study the structures of three compounds isolated from the roots of Potentilla anserine.Methods These compounds were isolated and purified by the technique of macroporous resin,silica gel,and HPLC,respectively.The structures of these compound were established by chemical and spectroscopic means,especially 1D and 2D NMR.Results A novel ursane-galactoside was isolated from the roots of P.anserine along with two known ursane-and oleanane-type triterpene glycosides.The new compound was identified as 2?,3?, 19?-trihydroxyurs-28-O-?-D-galactonopyranosyl ester(anserinoside,Ⅱ).The known compounds were elucidated as 2?-3?,19?-trihydroxy-oleanolic acid-28-O-?-D-glucoside(24-deoxy-sericoside,Ⅰ) and 2-carbonyl-3?-19?-dihydroxyurs-28-O-?-D-glucoside(2-oxo-pomolic acid ?-D-glucopyranosyl ester,Ⅲ).Conclusion The three compounds including the new compound are isolated from the roots of P.anserine for the first time and anserinoside is a new one.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are organic chemicals which can exist in the form of vapor at room temperature.Endogenous VOCs can be produced by different biochemical processes in the human body.They can be transfered to lung through bloodstream and released through breath.Many researches show that exhaled VOCs can be significantly changed when people suffering cancers or inflammation. Detecting exhaled VOCs through instrument with high sensitivity make it possible to detect cancers in early phase in a noninvasive and rapid way,which reduce the suffering of patients.In conclusion,exhaled VOCs detection is a promising method for early diagnosis of cancers.

Objective To study the effect of femoral offset reconstruction ON the Harris hip score and the hip ROM (range of motion) after artificial hip replacement in femoral neck fractures. Methods Follow-ups were conducted for 47 patients who had undergone artificial hip replacements for their unilateral femoral neck fractures. We took X-ray pictures to compare the femoral offsets at the affected and unaffected hips. The operated hips were evaluated by the Harris hip score. Statistical analyses were performed with SPSS l2.0 software. Results The Harris hip score of the operated hip was positively related to femoral offset reconstruction(t=7.25,P＜0.001).There was a significant and positive correlation between femoral offset and the hip abductor ROM(r=0.80,P＜0.001).The rate of femoral offset reconstruction had no significant difference between total hip arthroplasty and bipolar hip arthroplasty (χ2=0,P＞0.05).Conclusions Reconstruction of femoral offset after artificial hip replacement in the femoral neck fractures can improve funetional recovery and ROM of the hip. Femoral offset reconstruction is uncorrelated to the selection of total hip arthroplasty or bipolar hip arthroplasty.

AIM:To observe the effects of Huoxue-Yiqi-Bushen prescription on the hemorrheological parame-ters and endothelial nitric oxide synthase ( eNOS) activity in the aged patients with hip arthroplasty at postoperative period. METHODS:The patients ( n=60) operated by the same group of doctors were randomly divided into traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM) group, low-molecular-weight heparin ( LMWH) group and control group.Postoperative patients in TCM group were administrated with Huoxue-Yiqi-Bushen prescription.In LMWH group, 20 patients received LMWH postopera-tively.The patients in control group took aspirin enteric-coated tablets.The eNOS activity, nitric oxide (NO) content and hemorrheological parameters were observed before operation and 1 d and 10 d after operation.RESULTS: No significant difference of eNOS activity, NO content, whole blood viscosity (WBV), plasma viscosity (PV), hematocrit (HCT), erythrocyte aggregation index ( EAI) , index of rigidity ( IR) , erythrocyte deformation index ( EDI) and erythrocyte electro-phoresis time (EET) between 3 groups 1 d after operation was found, while significant difference (P<0.01) appeared be-tween TCM group and control group 10 d after operation.CONCLUSION:Huoxue-Yiqi-Bushen prescription can effective-ly increase eNOS and NO levels and improve hemorrheological parameters at postoperative period in aged patients with hip arthroplasty.

The paper discusses the problems and inequity in town and country family-planning service by comparing the following aspects: work thinking in the service,accessibility of family-planning service,service capacity of the organizations,resource allocation.Besides,in order to satisfy the demand of rural family-planning service market and improve the equity,some suggestions,such as integrating resource and complementing advantages to implement regional family-planning program,identifying the functions of government and changing the service thinking,increasing the investment in primary health family-planning organizations and reinforcing the co-operation between health and family-planning organizations.
