4.The Prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and its Risk Factors in the Elderly in Gushan Town,Fuzhou City
Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(02):-
Objective To know the prevalence of type 2 diabetes and its risk factors in the elderly in Gushan Town, Fuzhou City. Methods From July to November of 2007, 4653 elderly permanent residents from 14 administrative units were selected using random cluster sampling. Results The prevalence of elderly type 2 diabetes was 11.2%. Non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that age, occupation, monthly income (OR=1.42, 95%CI: 1.13~1.77), family history of diabetes (OR=6.49, 95%CI: 4.62~9.10), concen- tric obesity (OR=1.47, 95%CI: 1.15~1.88) were independent risk factors for diabetes. Conclusion The type 2 diabetes prevalence rate of the elderly was higher, and the health education and interventions should be strengthened to the people who have family history of diabetes and concentric obesity.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To study the combined effect of chlorotoluron and atrazine on the testis of mice. Methods Kunming mice were divided into groups and treated with chlorotoluron and atrazine alone or in combination by gavage at different doses for 25 consecutive days. Microscope and electron microscope were used to observe the morphological changes. Results The herbicides used alone or in combination, at all the test doses, caused the morphological changes in degrees in the testis. Under the light microscope, seminiferous epithelium arrayed loosely and disorderedly, spermatogenic cell shed, and layers lessened compared with the control group. Under the electron microscope, mitochondria in the seminiferous epithelium appeared vacuolated, karyotheca swelled, bent and the function of sustentacular cell declined. Compared with alone use groups, the pathological changes were more serious in combination use groups. Conclusion Chlorotoluron and atrazine can produce a combined toxic effect on the testis of mice.
8.Advantage of MRI in Diagnosis of Complication Following Liver Transplantation
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
Objective To study the advantage of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) in diagnosis of complications following liver transplantation. Methods The MRI appearances were analyzed retrospectively in seventy-eight patients with postoperative complications after liver transplantation which was confirmed by operation, hepatic biopsy, angiography and cholangiography. Results The symptoms of skin and sclera jaundice, fever and belly pain were found in sixty-four patients.Liver function was abnormal in laboratory tests.Fourteen were non-symptom with normal liver function.By analyzing the MRI images, the results were found including hepatic portal vein anastomosis stenosis(n=21),hepatic arterial anastomosis stenosis(n=10),inferior vena cava anastomosis stenosis(n=1),bile duct anastomosis stenosis(n=15),bile duct non-anastomosis stenosis(n=5),transplant rejection(n=17),hepatic carcinoma recurrence(n=9).Conclusion MRI can be revealed hepatic vessels and bile ducts stenosis and dilations;it's the best device in diagnosis of complications after liver transplantation.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(08):-
Objective To compare the influences of peridural and general anesthesia on respiration and circulation in gynecological laparoscopic operation. Methods Fifty-six patients, underwent gynecological laparoscopic operation during June to October, 2003, are divided into two groups. The items of respiration and circulation recorded before and 10, 20, 30, 40min after pneumoperitoneum as well as 5 min after deflation abdomen were as follows: blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), sphygmus oxygen saturation (SpO_2), end-expiratory pressure of CO_2 (P_ ETCO_2), tidal volume, frequency of respiration, minute ventilation volume and airway pressure. Results The re-consciousness time after the operation in the peridural anesthesia group is significantly less than that in the general anesthesia group (P0.05). Conclusion In gynecological laparoscopic operation, no significant difference was found concerning the influence of the two anesthesia manners on respiration and circulation.
10.Analysis on corneal spherical aberration in patients with cataract in Kaifeng area
International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2133-2135
AIM:To find out the mean corneal spherical aberration and its changes with age in Kaifeng population.
METHODS: A total of 466 eyes of 427 Kaifeng subjects with cataract, whose age ranged from 52 to 75 years old, were divided into three groups according to the age. All the subjects were included in measuring K-readings of cornea, the corneal anterior and posterior surfaces of the spherical aberration and the total corneal spherical aberration using Pentacam(Oculus, Germany) at the 6-mm optical zone.
RESULTS:The mean corneal spherical aberration( CSA) of the whole groups was 0. 339±0. 153μm. Patients from 50 to 60 years old had CSA of 0. 322±0. 137μm, 0. 326±0.157μm was the CSA of the patients from 60 to 70 years old, while those from 70 to 80 years old have a CSA of 0.401 ± 0. 182μm. The corneal K - readings had no correlation with the total corneal spherical aberration ( r=0. 034, P>0. 05), anterior surfaces CSA, posterior surfaces and total CSA were positively correlated with age ( r =0.253, 0. 327, 0. 233, all P<0. 01).
CONCLUSION:CSA is varied among the population and CSA of elderly in Kaifeng area are slightly higher than white people, and positively correlated with age.
