Korean Journal of Dermatology 1974;12(4):305-308
Two cases of vitiligo-type hypomelanosis followed by the local application of Benoquin ointment for the treatment for the treatment of melasma are reported. These two cases of hypomelanosis are unwanted and unintended side effects probably caused by the application of monobenzyl ethers of hydrcquinone (monobenzone). Monobenzone blocks the enzyme tyrosinase and thereby prevents the conversion of tyrosine to dihydroxyphenylanine, a precursor of melanin, and since this does not destroy melanocyte or facilitate the loss of melanin. The skin contact with the material will not occur, repigmentation will slow but eventuaIly complete.

Korean Journal of Urology 2004;45(10):1069-1071
Herein, polyorchidism possessing of more than the usual number of testicles, which was found in two patients, is reported. Both patients had three testes, and one presented with painful swelling of the right scrotum caused by torsion of the testis and the other revealed a non-palpable testis in the right hemiscrotum. Both patients were managed surgically with orchiopexy and an orchiectomy, respectively, followed by the insertion of an artificial testis.

Majolin's ulcer is a carcinomatous ulcer from degenerating burn scars. This patient is a 44 year-old man who has been suffering from pain and itching sensation on Rt. wrist of burn scars. Symptom has been developed since 18 months ago. Skin lesion is a well defined, slight brownish colored, scaly verrucous surfared plaque with reddish ringlike border and oozing tendency in small part. On physical examination, he is in within normal limit excepet burn scar on Rt. upper extremity. He was received burn with gasolin at the age of seven. Biopsy on the skin lesion revealed well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma appearance. Diagnosis was confirmed by the history and histopathological finding. Literature was briefly reviewed.

Pityriasis lichenoides chronica is considered to be a benign disease. Erythematous yelIowieh scaly maeulea appear insidiously, chiefly on the sides of trunk, thighs and upper arms. Acanthosis nigricans is a rare cutaneous disorder with peak incidence in puberty characterized by hyperkeratosis and, dark pigmentation. We report a case of pityriasis lichenoides chronica assaciated with pseudoacanthosis nigricans in a 14 year-old obeae male patient who has bean sized erythematoua scaly papules on the trunk and extremities, velvety black brownish colored patchea on the neck and both axillary regions.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1982;20(3):413-417
Pityriasis lichenoides chronica is characterized by unknown etiology, chronicity and by being essentially asymptomatic and refractory to therapy. Nine patients with pityriasis lichenoides chronica were treated with orally administrated 8-Methoxypsoralen and UVA irradiation(PUVA Therapy). After S-45 PUVA treatments, lesions were completely cleared.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1973;11(1):53-56
A case of dermatitis herpetiformis associated with bronchogenic carcinoma is reported. The 56 year-old female patient developed cough with expectorants and exertional dyspnea one year ago, and also showed the pinhead to rice sized erythematous papulovesicular eruptions on the back and extremities with severe itching sensation one month ago. Bronchogenic carcinoma was confirmed by chest X-ray and so on. Skin biopsy was performed on the vesicular lesion and reveled subepidermal bullae with eosinophilic and neutrophilic inflammatory cells infiltertaion.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1973;11(2):109-113
The authors observed a case of typical pemphigus foliaceus who was 26 year old male. The pemphigus foliaceus is a rare chronic vesicobullous skin disease which is a type of pemphigus, which has been reported rarely in Korea. This patient has been compained of formication of the face, trunk and upper arms since 7 monthes ago. The skin lesion revealed pea sized, flaccid bullar formation and dark bownish colored hyperpigmented macular eruptions with scattering distribution on the face, trunk, back and upper arms. This patient has experienced localized and generalized exfoliation during 7 rnonthes after onset, but he has not affected in general health condition. Biopsies were performed from the skin of the back, left wrist, and histopathologically the skin showed typical pemphigus foliaceus. So, diagnosis was confirmed by clinical appearance, histopathological finding and others. This patient was markedly imporved by prednisolone without immunesuppressant drugs, and antibiotics and antihistaminics etc.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1995;30(4):1071-1077
Many modalities of the treatment of fractures of distal 1/3 of tibia were introduced. But, May anatomical bone plate is considered to be a valuable method in treating distal 1/3 tibial fractures because of reduction potentiality by their contour, ability of firm fixation, decreased complications. Twenty two patients having distal 1/3 tibial fractures, were treated by May anatomical bone plate, at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Inchon Chirstian Hospital from January 1988 to December 1993. The results were follows; 1. Ninteen cases(86%) out of 22 were closed fractures and the remaining 3 cases(14%) were open fracrues, the comminuted fractures were 6 cases(22%) and the segmental fractures were 2 cases(9%). 2. Average interval from injuy to operation was 16.8 days and 21 cases had associated injuries. 3. The mean duration of bone union was 16.9 weeks. 4. Seven cases(31.8%) of delayed union and two cases(9.1%) of superficial infection were noted.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1988;26(6):924-927
We present a case of multiple cutaneous leiomyoma in a 45 year old woman. About 20 years ago, multiple skin colored papules developed on right cheek and man4ibular area. About 10 years after the onset of the disease a uterine myoma developed which wae tree, ted by total hysterectomy. The skin lesions were gradually increasing in number and size, Some larger nodular lesions changed to brown in color and became painful after cold exposure. The histopathologic finding showed typical leiomyoma arieing from arrector pilorum muscle.
