There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in postprandial electrogastrographic main wave and slow wave frequencies in the two groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in postprandial electrogastrographic main wave and slow wave frequencies between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in the FDDQL subscores in the treatment groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in the FDDQL subscores between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05).Conclusions Electroacupuncture at points Gongsun and Neiguan is an effective way to treat functional dyspepsia. It can improve the clinical symptoms and regulate gastrointestinal rhythm in the patients.
2.Multi-wave longitudinal study on causal model of hopelessness depression in Chinese undergraduates
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2009;18(6):547-550
Objective To test the diathesis-stress component in the hopelessness theory and demonstrate the mediator effect of hopelessness in depression-generating process. Methods In the 6-month longitudinal study, latent growth curve model(LGM) was used in a sample of 269 Chinese undergraduates on the base of questionnaire investigation. Results The intercept for hopelessness depression had a significant association with the intercept for negative life events (path coefficient =0.48) and depressogenic attributional style (path coefficient=0.26).The slope for hopelessness depression had a significant association with the slope for negative life events (path coefficient=0.73). The complete mediator effect of hopelessness between depressogenic attributional style and the intercept for hopelessness depression was 0.143. The complete mediator effect of hopelessness between the slope for negative life events and the intercept for hopelessness depression was 0.131. The partial mediator effect of hopelessness between the intercept for negative life events and the intercept for hopelessness depression was 0.151.Conclusion Depressogenic attributional style interacted with the occurrence of negative events to predict the occurrence of hopelessness depression. Hopelessness made partial mediator effect on the hopelessness depression-generating process.

7.Progress in free fatty acid receptor GPR40
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2001;0(05):-
The G protein-coupled receptor, GPR40, is a specific receptor for free fatty acids. Singnaling pathways are activated in islet ?-cells by fatty acids as binding to GPR40. Fatty acids regulate insulin secretion and cause ?-cell hyperplasia through GPR40. GPR40 also mediates responses to antidiabetic drugs like thiazolidinediones. GPR40 agonists and/or antagonists show potential effect in the development of new anti-diabetic drugs.

10.Bone marrow cell transplantation combined with transmyocardial revascularization and off-pump coronary bypass grafting: three-in-one surgery on ischemic heart disease
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(04):-
SUMMARY A 61-year-old male patient, with the history of premier myocardial infarction and CABG surgery, experienced recurrent unstable angina. Angiography showed triple vessel disease and vein grafts obstruction. The patient underwent a re-do OPCAB + TMLR + bone marrow mononuclear cell (BM-MNCs) transplantation on Nov. 8, 2004. BM-MNCs were isolated with standard gravity gradient method and the final implanted cell number was 12.06?108. Peri-operative data were similar to those of single OPCAB or re-CABG. The patient recovered promptly without recurrence of angina or infarction. Six-minute walking distance increased significantly (366 m to 493 m). Several imaging examinations reveal improved left cardiac function (LVEF improved from 23.75% to 52% in MRI) and diminished MI area. The results reveal that bone marrow cell transplantation, combined with TMLR and OPCAB is safe and might be effective in improving heart function for patients with IHD.
