In this study, 123 normal pregnancies were performed 649 times of ultrasonographic examinations. Results: there is a correlation between the ratio of head/abdomen circumference and fetal age as following: primipare Y = 1.842633 - 0.029259X + 0.0000047X3, r = 0,777; multipare Y = 1.672611 - 0.022408X + 0.00000278X3, r = 0,795; (Y = Head/ abdomen circumference; X = gestational age). Determination of ratio of head/abdomen circumference will help making early diagnosis abnormal fetal development, so it's necessary to apply this ratio in clinical care

he relationship between growth of fetal abdominal circumference and fetal age was examined between 28-41 weeks' gestation in 123 normal singleton pregnancies by ultrasonography. The findings have shown that there is a high correlation between abdominal circumference and fetal age as follows: primipare Y = -183,008 + 16,392X - 0,002X3 (r = 0,928); multipare Y = = -164,330 + 15,712X - 0,002X3 (r = 0,935). Fetal abdominal circumference is different between studies and ethnic groups, especially in near full term fetal. It's important to separate fetal abdominal circumference in first-born fetal and second-born fetal. The ultrasonic measurement of the fetal abdominal circumference is a sensitive and precise variable for estimation of fetal growth and development

After 2 months, more patients in the cyclosporine group had a complete or partial remission in response to the treatment than did patients in the prednison group (53,85% and 7,69%; P<0,05), after 3 months this ratio is 69,23% and 16,67%; P<0,01. This difference was confirmed at 6 months 91,66% and 60%; P<0,05), after 12 months: 100% and 50% P>0,05. Hb concentration > 90g/l is 81,8% granulocyte counts >1,56G/l is 72,72%, platelet counts >100G/l is only 36,36%. 2 patients with responses in the cyclosponrine group relapsed after 24 months of treatment. Survival rate of patients in the cyclosporine group is 15/16 (93,57%) and in the prednison group is 6/15 (40%), P<0,05. Conclusion: Immunosuppressive treatment of aplastic anemia with cyclosponrine appears to be more effective than prednison and may represents a treatment of choice for patients with idiopathic aplastic anemia who are not eligible for bone marrow transplantation.

From 11/95 to 11/97 we treated 27 patients with idiopathic aplastic anemia in which 13 treated with idiopathic aplastic anemia in which 13 treated with prednisolon and 14 cases with prednisolon. The results showed that the number of WBC, neutrophils and platelets have not increased in the group treated with cyclosporin A in the course of three months treatment. The group treated with cyclosporin A gave better than the results in comparison with group treated with prednisonlon after one month of treatment.

From 11/1995 to 4/1999 we treated by prednisone for 15 patients and CsA for 16 ones with idiopathic aplastic anemia. Results:- Prednison did not change significantly TCD3, TCD4 and TCD8 colony count comparing with pre-treatment (P>0.05).- CsA decreased clearly TCD3 colony count after 1st, 6th month (P<0,05). However, TCD4 colony count decreased not significantly (P>0.05). Conclusions: CsA has more suppressive effect on T-cell colonies, mainly TCDz3 and TCD8 than Prednisone and therefore it may be chosen to treat patients with idiopathic aplastic anemia without indication for bone marrow transplantation.

This study involved 27 patients with idiopathic aplastic anemia who were treated from November 1995 to November 1997. Among these, 13 cases received 1.5 mg/kg/day of prednisone and 14 cases received 4 mg/kg/day of cyclosporin-A. Results showed that the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin have increased in cyclosporin group, but not in prednisone group (p>0.05) during three months of treatment. After 3-month course of treatment, the cyclosporin group had better result in comparison with other group.

27 patients with the diagnosis of bone fractures of the limbs with injury of peripheral vessels were treated in Viet Tiep Hospital, Hai Phong city from January 2001 to November 2002. Their majority was male persons of productive age and the main cause was traffic casualties 74%, among them underwent early operation within 6 hours. 6 patients underwent a bone combination with intraspinal nail or Kirchner needle. Among 23 preserved cases, only in 8 cases, the function of the limbs was well rehabilitated, the rest were moderate and bad. In 4 cases, it must undergo an amputation at 2nd time because the late diagnosis and had been missing.

On the occasion of one case of appendiceal mucocele, the authors studied on etiology, classification, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of this disease. Results: Appendiceal mucocele is a rare injury form of appendix, it stretches out and full of mucosity. It might be a benign or malignant injury. Clinical symptoms are not typical therefore it is difficult to diagnose before operating; most of the cases were discovered by accident. Recently, they can preoperative diagnose by ultrasound and CT scan. If the injury is benign, the appendix is removed simply, even through endoscopy, but if the injury is doubt to be malignant, it is necessary to resect the right colon. Although it is a malignant injury, the prognosis is still good as a colon cancer.

Rhabdomyosarcoma can originate from every position in body but rarely in perianal position. The disease found in children and adolescents. It was very difficult to diagnose before operation due to misdiagnosis with common perianal disease as abscess beside anus, anus fistula. Histopathological examination plays role in diagnosis, but there are some difficulties with this. Sometimes the diagnosis have to made on immunohistochemistry and electronic microscopic findings. It is necessary to implement histopathological examination to diagnose this condition, including in-operation rapid test. Treatment by surgery combining with radiotherapy and chemotherapy produce high survival rate

Background: Use rationally alcohol has many benefits for health. Whereas, the abuse of alcohol can cause danger for both users and the community.\r\n', u'Objectives: To describe alcohol use among young people and the related factors. \r\n', u'Subjects and methods: The study was conducted from March to September 2007 in 7 communes and towns under the demographic surveillance system at Chilinh district Haiduong province (CHILILAB). Quantitative survey data was collected in combination with qualitative data. \r\n', u'Results: The key findings showed that 43.8% of the young people age 10-24 have drunk alcohol (the rate for the specific age group 15-24 was 55.6%, of which 57.4% were male and 30.7% were female). Of this alcohol usage sample, 46.3% reported that they have been drunk. Also, 49.19 % of the respondents admitted have been drunk in the last 12 months. Respondents reported that 40.7% of them had family members who drank alcohol frequently. Older age group, higher educational level, better economic status was found to be associated with alcohol use. Also, those who had close friend who drink and those whose father drink frequently are statistically more likely to use alcohol. \r\n', u'Conclusions: Some preliminary recommendations were discussed, focusing on comprehensive intervention at family and community level, with strong focus on the role of the father and peers. \r\n', u'
