1.Investigation of occupational injury and risk factors of injury at 5 coal-mines in Cam Pha, Quang Ninh

A survey was conducted aim to investigate the incidence and epidemiological distribution by gender, occupation and worker grade and injury classification by severity and place. Participants were 17,535 workers who were working at coalmines Cao S¬n, Cäc S¸u, §Ìo Nai, M«ng D¬ng, Thèng NhÊt, Khe Chµm, and labor safety staffs and health workers at above coal-mines. Results: the common severe injuries included breakage and amputation in fingers and hands. These injuries affected greatly to occupational function of victims. The major causes of injury are self-fall, coal and stone fall. They can be prevented or limited if the labour protective devices are used properly and appropriately as well as if the workers received good training in safety skills and methods.

2.Influence of some geographical factors on the health care activity in Ba Be district, Bac Kan province

There are 3 geographical factors influence on the health care activity including distance, height and descent. They influenced relatively on the health care activity. The distance from home to commune health station (CHS) influenced the rate of home birth and immunization of tetanus vaccine of pregnant women. The height and descent influenced relatively on these rates. Both three geographical factors influenced significantly on the full immunization rate in children under 5 years.

3.Situation of consultation and treatment in communal health station in a distric at the Northern Delta

Results of investigation at 2 communes with 20 communal and village medical staff showed that 13/20 finished high school, 6/20 finished secondary school, 1 doctor, 10 druggists, none of obstetric-pediatric nurse. Among 30. 311 medical service users, the users finished secondary school account for 41.71%; finished primary school and high school were equally, accounting for 20% for each, over high school was 5.56%. The people chose different consulting places: using private health service was the highest (33.2%), in commune medical stations was 20.7%, to the upper health services was 18.8%, that's why the morbidity actually was higher than that compared with investigated numbers at communal health stations.
