Traumatic diaphragmatic hernia is a well known
complication of blunt trauma to the abdomen and thorax. In
the acute setting, laparotomy is mandatory. In this current
era, this condition can be managed with minimally invasive
surgery. We hereby report a case of delayed large left
diaphragmatic hernia that was repaired with a combination
of laparoscopic and thoracoscopic approach.

5.Laparoscopic plication for left anterior diaphragmatic eventration in a pediatric patient: A case report.

Philippine Journal of Surgical Specialties 2018;73(2):57-60
Reported here is the first documented laparoscopic repair of a rare
partial diaphragmatic eventration in a pediatric patient. The case
involves a three year old female who had recurrent cough. While
a Morgagni hernia was the initial impression, an eventration of the
left anterior diaphragm was instead found on laparoscopy. Repair
was aided by using transcutaneous traction, with plication
achieved by intracorporeal sutures. The patient recovered
uneventfully and follow-up x-ray after six months demonstrated
an intact repair.

Journal of the Korean Surgical Society 2007;72(6):509-512
Morgagni hernia is known as the smallest form of diaphragmatic hernia and it is usually asymptomatic. However, almost all the cases reported in the Korean literature have been symptomatic and they were surgically repaired. The authors report here on a case of Morgagni hernia that was found accidentally during the preoperative workup of a patient who suffered from panperitonitis with cecal perforation. The patient was transferred from the local hospital with complaints of pain in the entire abdomen. On the preoperative CT, a large paracardial mass and a collection of intra-peritoneal free air were identified. After reduction of the hernia contents, the hernia was repaired with using mesh. The patient showed a rapid recovery without any complication.

10.The diaphragm herniation via bochdaleck (on occasion of 2 cases)
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):47-48
The diaphragm herniation via bochdaleck is rare disease. During 24 years, the Viet Duc Hospital managed 2 cases (male: 2) with the middle age. The disease was acquired type. The patients were indicated the X-ray in the supine side and prostrate position in combination with the abdominal contraction and abdominal fold. The results found that the finding of the position of diaphragm herniation should base on the X-ray image of the side position.
