International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;(3):353-354
Objective To investigate the morphological characteristics of peripheral blood red blood cell (RBC) in the patients with anemia .Methods The peripheral blood smears were selected from 93 cases of anemia and performed the morphological exami‐nation by the automatic reading instrument ,the heteromorphic red blood cells were examined by the manual microscopy .Results Among 93 patients of anemia analyzed by the DM‐96 automatic blood cell morphological analytical system ,anisocytosis accounted for 77 .4% ,in which 48 .4% were mainly microcytic ,heteromorphic RBC accounted for 55 .9% ,the detection rate of polychromato‐phil RBC had large difference between the manual microscopy and the instrument automatic reading ,the hypochromic RBC accoun‐ted for 11 .8% .The top three places of detection rates in heteromorphic RBC were elliptocyte ,RBC fragment and RBC rouleaux ar‐rangement .Conclusion Peripheral blood erythrocyte morphology analysis has an important significance in the RBC diseases ,espe‐cially in the diagnosis ,prognosis and treatment of anemia ,which provides the important basis of morphology for the reliability of la‐boratory report .
2.Analysis of Determination of Urine Arsenic in 563 Cases
Journal of Kunming Medical University 1988;0(03):-
The urine arsenic of 563 workers was determined;an investigation on labor hygien in the workshop and a physical examination of these 563 cases were made. The results indicate that the present suggested value of urine arsenic is rather high in the Yunnan area.In order to raise the reference value of determining urine arsenic in the diagnosis of arsenic poisoning,we suggest that the upper limit of the normal value of urine arsenic be 0.1mg/L and establish an area health standard throughout the country.
3.Postoperative shunt restenosis of transjugular intrahepatic portasystemic shunt using covered stent in patients with portal hypertension and analysis of its influencing factors
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(19):39-42
Objective To evaluate the postoperative shunt restenosis of transjugular intrahepatic portasystemic shunt (TIPS) using polytetrafluoroethyoethylene (PTFE) covered stent in patients with portal hypertension, and discuss its influencing factors. Methods The clinical data of 82 patients with portal hypertension were retrospectively analyzed.TIPS with PTFE covered stent was carried out in all patients, and the preoperative Child-Pugh score was (6.74 ± 1.05) scores. The patients were followed up for 12-55 (24.9 ± 10.4) months.Single and multiple factor analysis using Cox regression were performed to evaluate the influencing factors. Results Under the local anaesthesia,TIPS was successful performed in all 82 patients. The portosystemic pressure gradient decreased from preoperative (27.46 ±4.08) mmHg (1 mmHg =0.133 kPa) to postoperative (15.71 ±2.07) mmHg,and the difference was statistically significant (t =1.804,P < 0.01).The Child-Pugh score 3 months after operation was (6.57 ± 1.43) scores, and there was no statistical difference compared with that before treatment (t =12.931,P> 0.05).During the follow-up period, shunt restenosis of covered stent occurred in 8 patients, and the rate of restenosis was 9.8% (8/82).Cox single analysis showed that the covered stent length within portal vein 1.0 cm and its location in hepatic vein had statistical significance, and multiple factor regression analysis showed that the covered stent location in hepatic vein was the independent influencing factor of shunt restenosis (OR =26.647,95% CI:8.257-20.061,P =0.005).Conclusions TIPS with PTFE covered stent can markedly increase the shunt patency rate.A proper location of the covered stent within hepatic vein carries lower restenosis incidence.Hyperextension of the stent into portal vein is not recommended.
4.Comparison of effect in conservative treatment versus laparoscopic appendectomy for uncomplicated acute appendicitis in adults
Journal of Clinical Surgery 2017;25(4):277-279
Objective To compare the cure rate, recurrence rate, complication and length of hospital stay in conservative treatment versus laparoscopic appendectomy for uncomplicated acute appendicitis in adults(>18 years-old),we designed this experiment. Methods Seventy-two patients in our department with uncomplicated acute appendicitis between May 2013 to May 2015 were included in our study,in which 43 cases as the experimental group accepted appendectomy, and the other 29 cases as the control group received conservative treatment, all of the patients were followed-up one year out of hospital. And there clinic data about cure rate, recurrence rate, complications and hospitalization time were redcorded. Results As a result,4 cases in the experimental group showed worsening of symptoms under conservative treatment and received laparoscopic appendectomy.2 cases in the experimental group showed recurrence after discharge. In the experimental group, cure rate was observed to be 86.2%,recurrence rate 8.0%(excluding the 4 cases that received laparoscopic appendectomy following aggravation). Conclusion In comparison, control group showed cure rate of 100% with 0% recurrence rate.In terms of complications,no apparent complications were observed in both groups. The mean length of hospital stay were 4.1 days and 5.1 days for experimental and control group, respectively. Our research showed that laparoscopic appendectomy remains to be the most effective treatment for uncomplicated acute appendicitis with a cure rate of 100%;and conservative treatment exhibited cure rate of 86.2%,resulted in less suffering of the patients, less occurrence of complications, and shorter duration of hospital stay.Although may recur, conservative treatment is still an effective treatment worth recommending.
5.14-3-3 proteins are associated with GLUT4 in rat adipocytes
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the interaction between glucose transporter 4(GLUT4) and the(14-3-3) proteins in rat adipocytes. Methods Isolated primary adipocytes were obtained from the epididymal fat pads of male Sprague-Dawley rats by collagenase Ⅰ digestion.Total cell extract as well as three fractions, referred to as Fraction T,H and L,were obtained from rat adipocytes using hypotonic lysis and glycerol gradient velocity sedimentation.Immunoadsorption of GLUT4 with Trisacryl beads cross-linked with 1F8,a specific monoclonal antibody to GLUT4,was conducted in total cell extract and the three fractions and followed by elution and Western blot analysis.Co-immunoprecipitation of(14-3-3) proteins and GLUT4 was demonstrated by detecting(14-3-3) in the eluates.Results(14-3-3) proteins were co-immunoprecipitated with GLUT4 either in the total adipocyte extract, or in each of the three fractions mentioned above. The co-precipitated(14-3-3)s were identified as two bands in Western blot analysis, the molecular weights of which were approximately 29kDa and 60kDa respectively, indicating that they might be in the state of homo-or hetero-dimers while interacting with GLUT4.Conclusion There is a physiological interaction between(143-3) proteins and GLUT4 in rat adipocyte.
6.Analysis and Treatment in Multiple Sclerosis with Pain Symptom
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2010;16(8):733-735
Objective To explore the diagnosis and treatment in multiple sclerosis with pain symptom.MethodsThe clinical data of 362 patients suffered from multiple sclerosis with pain symptom from January 1999 to December 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsPain symptom could result from different causes. Acute radicular pain and Lhermitte's sign were common in the acute pain syndromes as dysaesthetic extremity pain and painful spasticity in chronic pain syndromes. Individual therapy of selected cases showed a benefit of decreased pain symptom.ConclusionPain is a common clinical symptom of multiple sclerosis. Individualized therapeutic decisions could relieve symptom and improve outcome.
7. Three-dimensional culture of the primary lung adenocarcinoma tissues
Tumor 2008;28(12):1095-1098
Objective: To explore the three-dimensional (3-D) culture technique of the lung adenocarcinoma tissues in vitro and further evaluate its application foreground. Methods: In order to mimick the tumor growth in vivo, primary lung cancer tissues were cultured in well-prepared 3-D collagen-based gel in vitro. Optical microscopy, electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry and tumor transplantation techniques were uesd to observe the growth of the tumor tissues. Results: Primary lung adenocarcinoma tissues were grown in collagen mixed with fibroblasts in 3-D space. After the culture period was prolonged, the volume of tumor tissues turned small. Connection was established among adjacent tumor tissues by migration of tumor cells. Some tumor cells permeated the gel, migrated to the bottom of the culture plate, and grew on it. Immunohistochemistry analysis indicated the well growth of tumor tissues. Conclusion: Primary lung adenocarcinoma tissues grow well in 3-D culture enviroment and keep the invasion features. The 3-D culture technique supplies a research platform for mimicking the real enviroment of tumor in vivo.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;0(01):-
Objective To explore the clinical outcome of self-designed composite external fixator in the treatment of severely comminuted or open proximal tibial fractures. Methods From July 2000 to January 2003, 22 cases of severely comminuted or open proximal tibial fractures were treated by self-designed composite external fixators, which involved 15 males and 7 females with an average age of 43 years (range, 20-80 years). This technique consisted of indirect reduction and limited open cannulated screw or K-wires fixation in case of necessity. Results All the patients had achieved fracture union at the 5th month averagely after operation. The period of follow-up was from 6-21 months(mean, 11 months). The mean duration of external fixation was 4.5 months. 4 cases received bone autograft from the iliac crest, primary union occurred in 20 cases, 2 cases with delayed union healed after bone-grafting. No infection occurred in 6 cases with open fracture. The other 16 cases also had no infection or skin necrosis. Only 4 cases with pin track infection healed by dressing change. 19 cases had knee flexion beyond 90?(containing 3 cases with second-stage knee release), 2 was 60? and 1 was 45?. 1 case took NSAIDs intermittently because of traumatic arthritis. According to Merchant grade, 14 were evaluated as excellent, 3 as good, 3 as fair and 2 as poor. The rate of excellent and good results was 77.3%. Conclusion The composite external fixator in treating the severely comminuted or open proximal tibial fracture has the following advantages, such as less-invasion, stable fixation, early-mobilization, high union rate and fewer complication.
