The study introduced 7 medical records of upper digestive bleeding in the Army Central Hospital 108. Bleeding occurred in position that easy to diagnose such as duodenum, esophageal, gastric small curve, etc... the causes of upper digestive bleeding include gastric and duodenal ulceration, gastric cancer, esophageal venous dilatation and rupture in patients with cirrhosis with the increase of portal pressure. Some other causes comprise the malignant lymphoma schawonnome or hepatoma, invasive pancreatic tumor into duodenal. It should have combination of endoscopy with biopsy, ultrasound, CT scanner to precisely diagnose.

This is a descriptive study of Tersons syndrome among patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage at the Philippine General Hospital. The incidence of Tersons syndrome was 13.4 percent. There were no statistically significant differences in outcomes among patients with and without Tersons syndrome. (Author)

One case of secondary bleeding repeatedly after tonsillectomy. Secondary bleeding after tonsillectomy seldom happen to us. When the event occurs medical staff has to take effect way to control the bleeding immediately. Accumulated quantity of bleeding must be controlled to the lowest point as soon as possible. Other wise the bleeding may lead to death. This point should be considered by medical staff.

OBJECTIVEToday metal-ceramic restorations are widely accepted in dental practice because of their good aesthetic and biocompatible properties, but there are still several problems to be resolved, among which the influences of their margins on gingival health is noticeable. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of metal-ceramic restoration margin on gingival health.

METHODS129 abutments of metal-ceramic restorations, including their margins' fitness, location and smoothness were examined and their influences on gingival health were analyzed.

RESULTSThere was a close relation between the metal-ceramic restorations' margins and the gingival health.

CONCLUSIONIn order to maintain the gingival health, the margins should be smooth, closely fitted, no overhanging and in a moderate location (i.e. not below the gingival more than 1 mm).
