Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):14-20
This study considerred 252 cases with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) treated surgically between 1/1993-12/1996 at Cho Ray hospital. Sample is total patients who were admitted and diagnosed as CSDH. With a retrospective analysis, we would like to review systematically clinical aspects of CSDH at Cho Ray hospital. Moreover, the effectiveness of surgical treatment and factors that had a significant effect on the outcome were stressed on this study.

3.Chronic subdural hematoma
Journal of Medical Research 2002;20(4):6-9
The authors present 31 cases of subdural hematoma from 2/1991 to 8/1996 at surgical department in Frienship Hospital. Ages are from 51 to 82 years old, treatment is surgical. The results are good in 26 cases (84%) nerve sequelae in 4 cases (10%), mortality in 2 cases (6%). Early diagnosis is a favorable prognostic factor.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1990;19(1):126-130
Three cases of chronic subdural hematoma superimposed on posttraumatic subdural hygroma are presented, with discussion of the development of the chronic subdural hematoma particularly. In all of these three cases the chronic subdural hematoma had occurred consequently to the posttraumatic subdural hygroma, but these diagnoses were done in variable periods of 20 days to 60 days. Therefore, it is suggested that the posttraumatic subdural hygroma have, at least, some relation to the genesis of the chronic subdural hematoma.

The authors managed forty cases of chronic subdural hematoma which were diagnosed by carotid angiography and computerized tomographic scanning. Within fortieth-day after onset, only two cases are absorbed without any specific treatment and clearly.
