Acute subdural hematoma is usually a neurological emergency that requires hematoma evacuation or close observation. However, spontaneous resolutions of an acute subdural hematoma without surgical interventions have been reported rarely. We report on a case who showed rapid resolution of an acute subdural hematoma with neurological improvement and review the relevant literatures.

Percutaneous epidural neuroplasty (PEN) is a known interventional technique for the management of spinal pain. As with any procedures, PEN is associated with complications ranging from mild to more serious ones. We present a case of intracranial subdural hematoma after PEN requiring surgical evacuation. We review the relevant literature and discuss possible complications of PEN and patholophysiology of intracranial subdural hematoma after PEN.

Coexistence of cranial and spinal subdural hematomas is rare and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. Herein, we report a case of cranial and spinal subdural hematomas after previous head trauma. As the pathogenesis of simultaneous intracranial and spinal subdural hematoma yet remains unclear, we developed an alternative theory to those proposed in the literature for their coexistence, the migration of blood through the subdural space.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1988;17(4):815-820
The authors report a case of nontraumatic subdural hematoma associated with dural metastasis. We review the pathological and hematological features of this and 13 similar cases reported in the literature. Although rare, they have different pathological and hematological features. According to the pathological features, three types are subclassified and the presumptive pathogeneses are discussed.

8.Acute subdural hematoma report of 148 cases with surgical management.
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;233(2):5-9
Acute subdural hematoma (ASH) is a first cause of mortality of cranio cerebral traumatism. The high rate of mortality 50 to 90% after surgery, confirms to the published data of foreign authours, there remains a difficulty in establishing the prognosis of the disease. This study included 148 cases of ASH after surgery for finding the following factors: mechanism of trauma, age, sex, GOS, image in CT scanner, timing trauma of surgery influencing on the final results. Good results: 37.16%; Bad results: 62.84%.

9.Acute subdural hematoma in infants.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):3-4
Acute subdural hematoma in infants is rare. From 15/9 to 14/11/1997, 2 cases were found in the Neurosugery Department of Chî RÉy Hospital. Diagnosis was based on CT imaging. These patients were operated on emergency. Intensive care, with blood transfusion is crucial, should be performed concomitantly with operation. Preservation for skull is essential. Postoperation, intensive care, anti-epilepsy and respiratory infection treatments should be carried out.

10.Chronic subdural hematoma
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):14-20
This study considerred 252 cases with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) treated surgically between 1/1993-12/1996 at Cho Ray hospital. Sample is total patients who were admitted and diagnosed as CSDH. With a retrospective analysis, we would like to review systematically clinical aspects of CSDH at Cho Ray hospital. Moreover, the effectiveness of surgical treatment and factors that had a significant effect on the outcome were stressed on this study.
