Journal of Korean Medical Science 1994;9(2):200-204
A 37 year-old-woman was admitted to the hospital because of 15 days' duration of continuous fever. Routine studies for detection of fever foci were negative. Imaging studies revealed giant hemangioma of the liver with central thrombosis. The fever persisted for a period of 4 weeks, and subsided after conservative management. We report a case of hepatic hemangioma presenting with fever of unknown origin. The condition is very rare, but should be regarded as one of the causes of fever of unknown origin.

PURPOSE: To report the case of a patient with large-angle hypertropia of an intramuscular hemangioma of the right superior rectus muscle (SR). METHODS: A 63-year-old man with progressive vertical deviation of the right eye for the past 6 months visited our strabismus department; his condition was not painful. An examination indicated that he had 60PD of right hypertropia at distance and near in primary gaze. Additionally, a significant limitation of his downgaze was noted. The right eye appeared mildly proptotic, and the upper and lower eyelids were slightly edematous. Corrected vision was 20/20 in both eyes. RESULTS: Orbital magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies revealed fusiform enlargement of the right superior rectus muscle, with prominent but irregular enhancement following gadolinium administration. Incisional biopsy revealed an intramuscular hemangioma in the superior rectus muscle with cavernous-type vessels. CONCLUSIONS: This case demonstrates that intramuscular hemangioma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of isolated extraocular muscle enlargement and unusual strabismus.

Korean Journal of Radiology 2000;1(4):185-190
OBJECTIVE: To document the imaging findings of hepatic cavernous heman-gioma detected in cirrhotic liver. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The imaging findings of 14 hepatic cavernous hemangiomas in ten patients with liver cirrhosis were retrospectively analyzed. A diagnosis of hepatic cavernous hemangioma was based on the findings of two or more of the following imaging studies: MR, including contrast-enhanced dynamic imaging (n = 10), dynamic CT (n = 4), hepatic arteriography (n = 9), and US (n =10). RESULTS: The mean size of the 14 hepatic hemangiomas was 0.9 (range, 0.5 -1.5) cm in the longest dimension. In 11 of these (79%), contrast-enhanced dynamic CT and MR imaging showed rapid contrast enhancement of the entire lesion during the early phase, and hepatic arteriography revealed globular enhancement and rapid filling-in. On contrast-enhanced MR images, three lesions (21%) showed partial enhancement until the 5-min delayed phases. US indicated that while three slowly enhancing lesions were homogeneously hypere-choic, 9 (82%) of 11 showing rapid enhancement were not delineated. CONCLUSION: The majority of hepatic cavernous hemangiomas detected in cirrhotic liver are small in size, and in many, hepatic arteriography and/or contrast-enhanced dynamic CT and MR imaging demonstrates rapid enhancement. US, however, fails to distinguish a lesion of this kind from its cirrhotic background.

Intussusception is primarily a disease of children, and is relatively rare in adults. Unlike childhood intussusception, adult intussusception has an identifiable leading lesion such as malignant or benign neoplasm. However, intussusception caused by hemangioma is very rare. There were few cases of small bowel intussusception caused by hemangioma in adults, but those reports were presented with abdominal pain. This report describes a 65-year-old female who suffered from small bowel intussusception caused by hemangioma presenting with intestinal bleeding. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy were performed, but bleeding focus was not found. Abdominal computed tomography showed the target sign of small bowel with a leading point of mass. This mass turned out to be a hemangioma after the small bowel resection. Therefore, small bowel intussusception by hemangioma should be also considered as a bleeding focus when an adult patient presented intestinal bleeding without bleeding focus in the stomach and colon. Herein we report a case of small bowel intussusception caused by hemangioma presenting with intestinal bleeding.

Chinese Medical Journal 2012;125(17):3069-3073
BACKGROUNDPulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis (PCH) is a rare disease and no Chinese case has been reported yet. The disease is often misdiagnosed and its clinical characteristics are incompletely described. The aim of this study was to describe two Chinese cases and to clarify the clinical and radiographic parameters of patients with PCH.
METHODSTwo PCH cases were presented and other cases were searched from the English literature. All available clinical and radiographic data were collected from 62 literature reported PCH cases. A pooled analysis of total 64 cases was made.
RESULTSDyspnea and hemoptysis were the most common clinical symptoms of PCH. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) was found in 78% of the reported cases. PCH typically showed characteristic diffuse or patchy ground-glass opacities (GGOs) and/or multiple ill-defined centrilobular nodules in the computed tomography.
CONCLUSIONSThe diagnosis of PCH requires a high clinical suspicion. However, both clinical presentations and radiographic studies often provide clues to the diagnosis, which may prompt early lung biopsy for a definite diagnosis.

8.Giant nasal septalhaemangioma in pregnancy: one case report.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(9):851-852
A pregnant lady in her third trimester presented with a rapidly growing right-sided nasal mass associated with epistaxis and nasal obstruction for six months. Examination showed a non tender, protruding mass completely occluding her right nostril. Wide surgical excision was done under anaesthesia. Histopathology revealed capillary haemangioma. In a gravid patient with a rapidly growing intranasal lesion, capillary haemangioma should be considered as a differential diagnosis.

Pure epidural cavernous hemangioma of the spine without vertebral involvement is rare. Due to the slow growth of this lesion, the most common symptoms are chronic pain, myelopathy, and radiculopathy. In our case, the patient complained of an acute onset sensory deficit of the C4 dermatome. An MRI revealed an epidural mass with an acute hematoma. Here, we report a case of a pure epidural cavernous hemangioma that presented with acute neurologic symptoms caused by intralesional hemorrhage and an acute epidural hematoma, which were demonstrated on the patient's MRI.
