Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1987;16(3):867-872
A case of cavernous angioma of the cerebellar vermis is described. Cevernous angioma is rare vascular malformation of the central nervous system and the cerebellar vermis is very unusual site. Exact preoperative diagnosis of this lesion is difficult because cavernous angioma is angiographically silent and generally accepted to be very rare. The relevant literature is reviewed.

A case of extradural cavernous hemangioma on lumbar spine combined with ruptured disc is reported. Cavernous hemangiomas are uncommon vascular malformation of the central nervous system. In the spine, the majority of these lesions are from secondary extensions of vertebral hemangiomas. Occurrence of a primary extradural cavernous hemangioma is relatively rare. Authors report a case of extradural cavernous hemangioma of the spine with the review of literatures.

Orofacial granulomatosis is a rare granulomatous inflammatory disease, characterized by recurrent orofacial swelling. Infectious, genetic, and immunologic etiologies are suggested, but not fully understood. Herein, we report a case of synchronous orofacial granulomatosis with brain cavernous hemangioma in a 44-year-old female patient, which may be considered paraneoplastic syndrome.

Cerebral cavernous hemangioma is very rare disease in the cerebral vascular malformations. We experienced a case of this vascular malformations at the left frontal lobe near the cortex which had symptoms and signs of abrupt generalized tonic-clonic seizure. This malformation is encountered more commonly in adult in the third to fifth decade, and is found most frequently in the white matter of the cerebral hemisphere. The value of computerized tomography(C-T) in the detection of such malformations is stressed. Good result was obtained by the microsurgical approach to these malformations.

A case of extracerebral cavernous hemangioma located within the middle cranial fossa and involving superior petrosal sinus is described in a 58-year-old woman presented with left ocular pain and severe headache. We treated her with operation under the preoperative impression of meningioma which was removed totally. Postoperative pathologic diagnosis was a cavernous hemangioma.
