Annals of Dermatology 2003;15(4):166-168
A Histologic finding of the Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita( CMTC) is non-specific, but dilated capillaries and increased number of vessels are often observed. Capillary hemangioma, mostly represented by strawberry nevus, may show various clinical manifestations. We report a case of Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita, which may be an unusual clinical presentation of capillary hemangioma.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics and surgical outcome of the conus medullaris tumors. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 26 patients who underwent surgery for conus medullaris tumor from August 1986 to July 2007. We analyzed clinical manifestation, preoperative MRI findings, extent of surgical resection, histopathologic type, adjuvant therapy, and outcomes. Results: There were ependymoma (13), hemangioblastoma (3), lipoma (3), astrocytoma (3), primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) (2), mature teratoma (1), and capillary hemangioma (1) on histopathologic type. Leg pain was the most common symptom and was seen in 80.8% of patients. Pain or sensory change in the saddle area was seen in 50% of patients and 2 patients had severe pain in the perineum and genitalia. Gross total or complete tumor resection was obtained in 80.8% of patients. On surgical outcome, modified JOA score worsened in 26.9% of patients, improved in 34.6%, and remained stable in 38.5%. The mean VAS score was improved from 5.4 to 1.8 among 21 patients who had lower back pain and leg pain. Conclusion: The surgical outcome of conus medullaris tumor mainly depends on preoperative neurological condition and pathological type. The surgical treatment of conus medullaris tumor needs understanding the anatomical and functional characteristics of conus meudllaris tumor for better outcome.

Capillary hemangioma is the most common vascular tumor in childhood; however, its occurrence in the bronchus is extremely rare. We recently performed a sleeve resection of the left main bronchus on a four-month-old infant with a severe emphysema caused by bronchial capillary hemangioma.

We present a case of intradural extramedullary capillary hemangioma of the thoracic spine with a long segment of transient cord edema. Spinal capillary hemangiomas are extremely rare vascular tumors and only a few cases have been reported. On the MR images, the mass showed hypointensity on the T1-weighted images, hyperintensity on the T2-weighted images relative to the spinal cord, and strong homogeneous enhancement on the contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images. The T2-weighted images showed a long segment of ill-defined hyperintense area in the spinal cord which was completely resolved after surgery.

Korean Journal of Urology 1990;31(4):625-627
Hemangioma of the testis is an extremely rare lesion, more or less than 10 cases having been reported in infancy or early childhood in the world. We have experienced one case of capillary hemangioma of the left testis in 6 year old Korean male, which was suspicious to be a malignant tumor.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2003;44(12):2942-2949
PURPOSE: To evaluate the effects of transpupillary thermotherapy(TTT) for several intraocular tumor. METHODS: The 5 intraocular tumors (2 capillary hemangioma, 1 metastatic tumor, 1 retinal angioma, 1 melanocytoma) were treated with transpupillary thermotherapy. We compared preoperative visual acuity, size, fundus finding, ultrasonogram to postoperative data. RESULTS: The one capillary hemangioma and metastatic tumor were improved in fundus finding. The other tumors were not improved. The visual acuity of patient with metastatic tumor was improved from F.C/30cm to 0.15. CONCLUSIONS: Transpupillary thermotherapy was effective tool for intraocular tumors. We may need the guideline for treatment of intraocular tumor by using transpupillary thermotherapy.

Annals of Dermatology 1992;4(1):37-40
A case of Maffucci's syndrome is reported in a 6-year-old girl. She had multiple enchondromas of the long bones and the phalangeal bones with hemangiomatous skin lesions. The hemangiomas were the capillary type and were not anatomically related to the bone lesions.
