Objective To probe the effects of interlocking intramedullary nail fixation in treatment of long bone fractures, evaluate the application of intramedullary nail fixation treatment of long bone fractures, and explore the complications and their management. Methods Retrospective study of 2126 cases with long bone fracture treated with interlocking intramedullary nail from January 1996 to January 2004 was carried out. Of them, 1089 cases were followed up, and the average follow-up duration was 4 years (1 to 8 years). The locations of fracture were tibial and fibular in 603 cases, which were left in 237 cases and right in 331 cases and bilateral in 35 cases, close fracture in 511 cases of type C 240 cases, type A of 134 cases and type B 137 cases, open fracture 92 cases of Gustilo Ⅰ type 63 cases and Gustilo Ⅱ type 29 cases; femoral fractures in 360 cases, which were left 136 cases, right 205 cases and bilateral 19 cases, close fracture 319 cases of type C 191 cases, type A 103 cases, type B 25 cases; Open fracture 41 cases; Humeral fractures in 126 cases, which were left 49 cases, right 71 cases and bilateral 6 cases, close fracture 113 cases of type C 24 cases, type A 64 cases and type B 25 cases; Open fracture 13 cases. Results Fracture healing rate was 93% in interlocking intramedullary nail fixation treatment of long bone fracture. Complication included fracture nonunion rate 7%, infection rate 3%, fat embolism syndrome 2%, nail and locking bolts broke 2%, iatrogenic fracture 1.3%, knee pain in patients with tibia shaft fracture after interlocking intramedullary nail treatment 35%. Conclusion Interlocking intramedullary nail is more suitable for long bone fracture because it can result in more reliable fixation, less operative trauma. It can be used as the first alternative to treat long bone fractures.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;0(08):-
The intermediate phenotype of vascular smooth muscle cell in adult is the dedifferentiation state returned from the high differentiation state , appeared on the damaged blood vessels. It is regulated by many factors. Its distribution, the characteristics of morphology and structure, the regulated transform factors and the molecular biological mechanism are introduced, and its functional significance and the role in vascular diseases are also discussed in this article.

Objective To investigate the role of deoxycholic acid (DCA) in the pathogenesis of Barrett esophagus. Methods Normal human esophageal mucosal epithelial cells were cultured in vitro with defined keratinocyte serum-free media (D-KSFM).The cultured cells were treated with different concentrations of DCA and specific p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor. The expression of p38,phosphorylated p38 (p-p38) and caudal-related homeodomain transcription 2 (CDX2) at protein level were assessed by Western blot. The correlation between p-p38 and CDX2 was analyzed. The data were analyzed by one way ANOVA and LSD test. Results After being cultured with DCA for 24 h,the expression of p-p38 and CDX2 increased along with the increasing of DCA concentration.Compared with the control group (p-p38 was 13.7% ± 1.0% and CDX2 protein was 0),the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).When DCA was at 500 μmol/L,the expression of p-p38 and CDX2 reached the highest level (44.0% ± 1.7% and 8.59± 1.25).After pretreated with SB203580 for two hours and then 500 μmol/L DCA was added into cell culture, both expression level of p-p38 and CDX2 decreased compared with 500μmol/L DCA group (p-p38:28.3% ±2.2% vs50.5%±9.5%,CDX2:0.94±0.13 vs 2.31±0.41) after 24 h.Conclusions DCA can induce the expression of CDX2 in normal human esophageal mucosal epithelial cells, which is related with the activation of p38.The phosphorylation of p38 maybe involved in the pathogenesis of Barrett esophagus.

The relationship between C936T polymorphism at 3'-untranslated region of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) gene and diabetic nephropathy (DN) was analysed in 194 type 2 diabetic patients. The frequencies of genotype CC and allele C were significantly higher in DN group than those in non-DN group and control group. Allele C and genotype CC of VEGF may be a genetic marker susceptible to DN.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2011;46(12):1471-5
Transforming technology for semi-synthesized isocorydione from the natural product ofisocorydine was studied. The factors affecting on the reaction yield were investigated. UV spectrophotometry was used to indicate the semi-synthesized yield of isocorydione. The optimum reaction conditions were determined as following: reacting for 12 h in the solution of sodium dihydrogen phosphate at pH 10, the temperature was 25 degrees C and the ratio of isocorydine to Fremy's radical was 1 : 2. Under the optimum conditions, the yield could reach up to 50.0%. The molecular structure of isocorydione was elucidated by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis for the first time.

Objective To discuss the reasons and the best treatment of the encephalocele during severe head injury. Method Retrospective analysis 26 cases of the clinical data of patients with acute encephalo-cele during severe head injury used bilateral craniotomy method. Result Good recovery in 4 patients, mod-erate disability in 5 patients, severe disability in 2 patients, vegetative state in 3 patients, death in 12 pa-tients. Conclusion Delayed intracranial hematoma and acute diffuse brain swelling are the main reasons of craniotomy brain injury in acute encephalocele, and using bilateral craniotomy can significantly increase the survival rate and quality of life.
