1.Single breath-hold MR imaging of liver.

Single breath-hold gradient echo images with Small Tip. Angle Gradient Echo(STAGE) were evaluated in the study of liver in 16 patients(4 normal liver, 5 hepatoma, 5 cholangiocarcinoma, 1 hemangioma, 1 cavernous transformation of portal vein). We obtained one slice of gradient echo during single breath-hold at the level of pathology defined on conventional spin echo inage. Single breath-hold gradient echo images were compared with spin echo images for image quality and artifacts. Single breath-hold gradient image showed improved resolution of vascular detail and excellent contrast between lesion and adjacent normal liver in hepatoma. Cholangiocarcinoma showed decreased contrast between lesion and biliary trees but improved contrast between lesion and blood vessel. Cavernous transformation of porta vein was noted as tortuous vessel of high signal intensity. Single breath-hold gradient echo scan increased vascular artifact, but decreased respiratory artifact leading to improved image quality. Single breath-hold technique can reduce can reduce imaging time and improve image quality and may be used as complementary method to the spin echo scan.

2.Somatic Mutational Analysis of MEN1 and Phenotypic Correlation in Sporadic Parathyroid Tumors .

PURPOSE: MEN1 gene mutation causes multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1. It also suggests that somatic MEN1 gene mutation plays a role in sporadic endocrine tumor. In this study, we examined whether somatic mutations of MEN1 gene are responsible for sporadic parathyroid tumors and correlate with clinical manifestations of parathyroid tumors. METHODS: Somatic mutation of MEN1 gene in the formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded parathyroid tumor tissue from 8 adenomas, 2 carcinomas and 1 hyperplasia were analyzed by direct sequencing. Clinicopathological parameters were reviewed from medical records and compared with the mutational data. RESULTS: Eight of eleven (73%) sporadic parathyroid tumors had somatic MEN1 mutations of 14 different types. In the 14 types, 13 were a point mutation which is composed of 8 missense mutations, 2 nonsense mutations and 3 silent mutations. One of 14 types is a frameshift deletion of 27 base pairs in exon 2. Somatic mutation was frequent in the exon 2 and exon 10. Four types of polymorphism were found. There was no correlation between the presence of mutations and clinicopathological phenotype of parathyroid tumors. CONCLUSION: This result suggests that somatic mutation of MEN1 gene plays a definite role in sporadic parathyroid tumor formation.

4.The Ultrastructure of Tongue Mast Cells in Bombina orientalis.

This study was carried out to observe the ultrastructure of tongue mast cells in frog, Bombina orientalis. In the light microscopy, mast cells were round, oval, spindle-like and irregular shape and occasionally had one or more tail-like long cytoplasmic processes. Mast cells had many red granules stained with toluidine blue in the cytoplasm. In the electron microscopy, mast cells had membrane-bounded granules and poorly developed organelles. The granules were composed of two parts, low and dense electron density. In high magnification the dense part in the middle region of granule had honey comb-like crystalline structure.

6.Characteristics of Aerobic Exercise as Determinants of Blood Pressure Control in Hypertensive Patients:A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect on blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) according to aerobic exercise characteristics in adults with hypertension using a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods:
The related researches were selected from PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, CINAHL, PsycINFO, SPORTDiscus and 5 domestic databases up to September 4, 2019. To estimate the effect size, random effect models were used to derive weighted mean differences (WMD) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) of aerobic exercise on BP and HR.
Results:
A total of 37 RCTs with 1,813 samples were included. Aerobic exercise was found to significantly reduce systolic BP (WMD, - 8.29 mmHg; 95% CI, - 10.12 to - 6.46), diastolic BP (WMD, - 5.19 mmHg; 95% CI, - 6.24 to - 4.14) and HR (WMD, - 4.22 beats/min; 95% CI, - 5.36 to –3.09). In detail, systolic BP and diastolic BP were significantly decreased in all groups of exercise types, frequency and duration. Systolic BP and diastolic BP were significantly decreased in the moderate and vigorous-intensity group.Exercise characteristics with the most dramatical change in systolic BP were water-based training, moderate-intensity, 3 times a week and 8 to 11 weeks of duration. In diastolic BP, the greatest effect size was over 24 weeks of exercise.
Conclusion
Moderate aerobic exercise, especially water-based exercise can be an important part of lifestyle modification for hypertensive patients. Also, it can be recommended in a variety of clinical settings for lowering BP and HR. However, there is insufficient evidence that low-intensity exercise is effective in lowering BP.
7.Systematic Review of Forest Therapy Program for Adult Patients with Diseases

Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and effects of the forest therapy programs for adult patients.
Methods:
Six databases (PubMed, Cochrane library, CiNii, PsychoInFO, AGRICOL, EMBASE) and six domestic databases were systematically searched with language restrictions of Korean, English, and Japanese. The systematic review was based on the Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) flow diagram.
Results:
Twenty five studies met the inclusion criteria. A systematic review identified adult patients classified as 1) disease of the circulatory system, 2) mental and behavioral disorders, 3) malignant neoplasms, 4) etc. (diabetes mellitus, chronic pain). This integrative review showed a positive effect of the forest therapy program for adult patients on physiological indices such as blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability, level of stress hormone, and natural killer cells as well as social · psychological indices such as the Profile of Mood States (POMS), anxiety, depression, and quality of life.
Conclusion
The results of this study could be useful key principles in developing and applying the forest therapy programs in nursing intervention. Further research should be conducted to develop the forest therapy programs suitable for each patient group and measure its effectiveness.
8.Effect of Aerobic Exercise on Serum Lipids, Weight and Body Mass Index in Patients with Hypertension: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of aerobic exercise on serum lipids, body weight, and body mass index in adults with hypertension using a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods:
Six electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, CINAHL, PsycINFO, SPORTDiscus) and five domestic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials studies.We used random effect models to derive weighted mean differences (WMD) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) of aerobic exercise on serum lipids, body weight, and body mass index.
Results:
Nineteen studies met our inclusion criteria. In comparison with the control group, triglyceride level (TG) (-13.49 mg/dL, 95% CI: -26.74 to -0.24) and body weight (-0.62 kg, 95% CI: -1.08 to -0.16) difference between follow-up and baseline was significantly reduced in the aerobic exercise group. However, no difference was found in total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and body mass index (BMI).
Conclusion
Aerobic exercise is effective in reducing the TG level and body weight in adults with hypertension. In order to improve levels of serum TC, LDL-C and HDL-C of hypertensive patients, it’s needed to combine other intervention methods such as diet therapy.
9.The Effect of Antigen Sensitization and Development of Respiratory Allergy Disease on Severity of Atopic Dermatitis.

PURPOSE: Atopic dermatitis is the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease in children. However, the role of allergy in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis is still controversial. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of antigen sensitization and development of respiratory allergy disease on severity of atopic dermatitis. METHODS: 211 children with atopic dermatitis were monitored for 2-3 years and classified into three groups: mild, moderate, severe. The severity of atopic dermatitis was compared with antigen sensitization identified by MAST CLA Korea Panel and development of respiratory allergy disease; such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. RESULTS: The frequency of mild, moderate, severe atopic dermatitis was respectively, 38.4%, 33.6%, 28.0%. Food sensitization was significantly higher in patients under 4 years old and aeroallergen sensitization was higher in patients above 5 years old. There was a good correlation between the severity of atopic dermatitis and food sensitization but not in aeroallergen. There was no significant association the severity of atopic dermatitis and development of respiratory allergy disease. CONCLUSION: This result suggests that the sensitization to food allergen is associated with the severity of atopic dermatitis, but sensitization to aeroallergen and development of respiratory allergy disease are not correlated. The restriction of sensitized diets might be helpful in management of atopic dermatitis.

10.The Influence of Self-esteem, Trait anger, Depression, Family Function, and Interpersonal Relations on Existential Spiritual Well-being in Patients with Alcohol Dependence.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to identify the factors influencing the existential spiritual well-being in the patients with alcohol dependence. METHODS: The research design was a descriptive survey research with self-report questionnaire about existential spiritual well-being, self-esteem, trait anger, depression, family function, and interpersonal relations scale. Participants in the study were 240 patients with dependence who were collected randomly from 10 mental hospitals and 5 alcoholic centers and 1 alcoholics anonymous in Busan, Deagu city and Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do region. RESULTS: The forecasting regression model of existential spiritual well-bing appeared to be significant, the order of influencing factor was self-esteem (beta=.36, p<.001), depression (beta=-.38, p<.001), interpersonal relations (beta=.18, p=.001), and not being employed for last one year (beta=-.11, p=.007). CONCLUSION: The development of program which vitalizes the vocational rehabilitation and intervention is needed to increase the existential spiritual well-being of the patients with alcohol dependence by increasing the self-esteem and interpersonal relations and decreasing depression which are the major influencing factors.
