OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for determination of the principle components in streptomycin sulfate in Streptomycin sulfate/cod liver oil nasal drop.METHODS:UV spectrophotometry was use to determine the absorption of streptomycin sulfate at detection wavelength of 521 nm.The content of streptomycin sulfate was also calculated.RESULTS:The detection concentration of streptomycin sulfate has favorable linear correlation within 250~700 ?g?mL-1 (r=0.999 8).The average recovery was 99.75% (RSD=0.98%).CONCLUSION:The method is convenient, accurate and suitable for quality control of the preparation.
2.Expression and relationship between PTEN and VEGF in bladder transitional cell carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(10):811-813
ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and relationship between phosphatase and tensin homology deleted on chromosome ten(PTEN) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC) and their clinical significance.MethodsExpression of PTEN and VEGF were detected in 60 specimens by immunohistochemistry test(SP method).ResultsThe positive rate of PTEN was 47%(28/60) in BTCC;VEGF was 68%(41/60).With the pathological grade and the clinical stage of tumors being higher, the lower expression level of PTEN showed(P<0.05);while the expression of VEGF increased with no statistical significance(P>0.05),but having a significant difference between specimens with lymph nodes metastasis and without lymph nodes metastasis(P<0.05).The expression of PTEN was negatively correlated with that of VEGF(r=-0.439,P<0.01).ConclusionThe expression of PTEN and VEGF in BTCC plays an important role during the progress of carcinoma and is helpful to evaluate the prognosis of patients.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2014;(7):1010-1016
One of significant characteristics of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization tandem time of flight mass spectrometry ( MALD-TOF/TOF ) high-energy collision induced dissociation ( CID ) is to produce abundant immonium ( IM ) ions that can offer a wealth of information for peptide composition. However, MALDI-TOF/TOF is generally used for routine protein identification based on database search or de novo sequencing combined with chemical derivation. Consequently, the characteristics of IM ions may not be fully explored and utilized. Here, a total of 239 MS/MS spectra are used to explore the fragmentation features of IM ions with MALDI TOF/TOF spectrometry and their application for peptide identification. IM ion signals can be observed for 14 kinds of amino acids including histidine etc with a positive rate of more than 50%. We have found that the chemical nature of the amino acids and position effects are the two main factors that affect the intensity of fragment ions. In addition, false positive IM ions are mainly derived from Arg, Lys, Leu and Ile residues or mixture peptides. Besides the compositional information, partial sequence information can also be obtained by a comparison of the relative intensity of IM ions. These findings are helpful when performing manual interpretations and could be useful for improving current peptide search algorithms.

Objective To study the effects of motor imagery therapy on functional performance of upper ex- tremity in stroke patients. Methods Sixty cases of stroke were divided into a treatment group(n=30) and a con- trol group(n=30).The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, while the treatment group was treated with motor imagery therapy in addition to the routine rehabilitation training. The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA),upper extremity function test(UEFT)and simple test for evaluating hand function(STEF)were used to as- sess the upper extremity function before and after six months of treatment. Results After treatment, patients in both groups scored significantly better with the FMA scales,UEFT scales and STEF scales when compared to their scores obtained before the treatment(P

Journal of Chinese Physician 2000;0(11):-
Objective To study the characteristics of mutations of gene COL4A5 encoding type Ⅳ collagen ? 5 chain in one chinese pedigree with X-linked dominant inherited nephritis (Alport's syndrome,AS). Methods Genomic DNA was extracted from 35 members of the pedigree of Alport's syndrome. All of 51 exons of COL4A5 gene were amplified by PCR with the primers synthesized according to the published intron sequences of COL4A5. The PCR products were further analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis and single strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP). The PCR products showing polymorphism were directly sequenced. Results PCR-SSCP analysis showed that 17 PCR products had abnormal mobility of single strand DNA. DNA sequencing analysis revealed 9 suspicious mutations. But these suspicious mutations were not be confirmed by inverse sequencing analysis. Conclusion The exon mutation of COL4A5 gene of this pedigree did not be found, and the mutations of COL4A5 gene may locate in the its introns.

OBJECTIVETo solve the problem of screw penetrating the joint surface easily by determining the angle of inclination and the mean longth screw plated on the posterior column.
METHODSTen specimens of adult male cadavers, aged 20 to 74 years old, averaged 54.5 years old, were collected. After removal of the bilateral femurs from the hip joints, and sawing through the sacral and pubic symphysis in the median sagittal plane, 20 semi pelvic specimens were used for this study when the osseous abnormalities were excluded. The specimens were air dried naturelly after the soft tissue attaching to the pelvis had been eliminated. The margin of superior acetabular and inferior acetabular were determined, and the serial cross-sections of the acetabular posterior column were made. The width of posterior column, the width of acetabulum, the width ratio of acetabulum to posterior column, the angle of inclination and the mean length of screw on all entry points were measured. Defined the level parallel to 1/2 section of superior acetabulum was cross-section B; 1/2 section of acetabulum was C; 1/2 section of inferior acettabulum was D. At the different levels, defined the entry point on the outer edge of posterior column of the acetabulum or the trailing edge of acetabulum was B0, C0 or D0; lateral 1/2 of posterior column of the acetabulum was B1, C1 or D1; 1/2 of posterior column of the acetabulum was B2, C2 or D2; medial 1/2 of posterior column of the acetabulum was B3, C3 or D3; the inner edge of posterior column of the acetabulum was B4,C4 or D4.
RESULTSOn cross-section B, the angle of inclination and the mean length of screw at B0 was 41 degrees and 44.0 mm; at B1 was 66 degrees and 42.2 mm; at B2 was 91 degrees and 59.5 mm; at B3 was 107 degrees and 64.0 mm; the maximum angle and the mean length at point B4 was 123 degrees and 65.5 mm; the minimum angle and the mean length at point B4 was 109 degrees and 59.0 mm. On cross-section C,the angle and the mean length at point CO was 39 degrees and 39.0 mm; at C1 was 57 degrees and 36.0 mm; at C2 was 74 degrees and 36.0 mm;at C3 was 90 degrees and 36.0 mm; at C4 was 106 degrees and 76.0 mm.
