Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate IL-6 and CRP levels, and their relationship with airflow obstruction、frequency of exacerbation in patients with COPD.Methods From Feb.2004 to Jul.2004,sputum and serum specimens were obtained from 54 patients with stable COPD and 10 age-matched healthy controls. The concentrations of sputum IL-6 and serum IL-6 were measured by ELISA.The concentrations of sputum CRP and serum CRP were measured by transmissive heterometric titration. Results (1)Sputum IL-6 levels in COPD patients of all stages were higher than those in controls(P

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion in treating postsurgical gastroparesis syndrome (PGS) and the effect on gastrin (GAS) and motilin (MTL).Method Fifty PGS patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 25 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by conventional medication, including effective gastrointestinal decompression, nutrition support, and psychotherapy; the treatment group was by acupuncture-moxibustion therapy in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The time of restoring gastric motility, the distention and fullness grading score, and serum GAS and MTL levels were observed, and the clinical efficacies were also compared.Result The total effective rate was 100.0% in the treatment group versus 92.0% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). According to statistical analysis, there was a significant difference in comparing the time of restoring gastric motility between the two groups (P<0.01). The distention and fullness grading scores, GAS and MTL levels were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P<0.01). The distention and fullness grading score, GAS and MTL levels of the treatment group were significantly different from that of the control group after intervention (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture- moxibustion plus medication is an effective approach in treating PGS, and it can up-regulate the GAS and MTL levels.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(08):-
ObjectiveTo study the diagnosis and treatment of primary duodenal papilla neoplasm(PDPN). MethodsThe clinical data of 64 patients with PDPN were analysed retrospectively. Results Among 38 cases received deodunscopy, PDPN were found in 32 cases (84.2%). Tumors were found in 49 of 51 cases received ERCP. There were 2 cases of benign tumor and 62 of maligancies in this series. 4 of 46 cases survived 4 years after Whipple operation, and 4 of 11 cases underwent lacal resection of PDPN suvived 4~6 years. ConclusionsTEndoscopy and ERCP are main methods for the diagnosis of PDPN; It is essential to use the rationale operation to improve the results of surgical treatment.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(09):-
ObjectiveTo improve the diagnosis and treatment of primary duodenal carcinoma.MethodThe clinical data of 45 patients with primary carcinoma of the duodenum from 1987 to 2000 were analyzed retrospectively.ResultAccording to the site of cancer, tumors around, below and above the duodenal papilla accounted for 64%, 22% and 13% of all cases. The diagnosis rate of duodenoscopy was 71%(15/21). Pancreatoduodenectomy was performed in 22 cases, segmental duodenectomy in 2 cases, simple tumor resection in 3 cases, gastroenterostomy or choledochojejunostomy in 12 cases and simple laparotomy in 4 cases. In patients of curative resection, the postoperative 3 and 5 years′ survival rate was 41 4% and 23 6%. In those with gastroenterostomy or choledochojejunostomy, the average survival time was 6~15 months. All cases undergoing biopsy only died within six months.ConclusionPrimary duodenal carcinoma mainly occurs around duodenal papilla. The long time survival of Whipple′s procedure is favourable.

Objective:To discuss the method of surgery treatment for nodular goiter,Graves disease,Hashimoto thyroiditis and differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Methods:A retrospective analysis of the clinical records of 76 patients undergoing total thyroidectomy was analyzed for the method of surgery treatment for thyroid diseases from resection extent, operative techniques, intraoperative and postoperative complications. Results:Five patients(78.4%)of all the patients accepted total thyroidectomy in first operation had transient or short-term completely recovered hypocalcemia postoperatively, and there were no cases with injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve. 4 patients(33.3%) had one-sided recurrent laryngeal nerve injury and temporary hypoparathyroidism in recurrent patient, and one of the cases had permanent hypoparathyroidism. Conclusion:Total thyroidectomy could be served as the routine operative method for multinodular goiter,Graves disease,Hashimoto thyroiditis and differentiated thyroid carcinoma.

A theoretical model for the magnetic forces on ferromagnetic drug particles in a guiding magnetic field is established with the consideration of the electromagnetic field theory. Our model shows that the ferromagnetic drug particles can concentrate on the targeted area with the guidance of the outside magnetic field. Both the distribution of the intensity of the guiding magnetic field and the forces on ferromagnetic drug particles are studied numerically. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental results reported recently.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2017;19(2):314-318
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic airway diseases, which leads to heavy social and economic burden to our country. We can use serum biomarkers to evaluate diagnosis, classification, treatment and prognosis of COPD.The change of biomarkers provides lots of valuable clinical information.A variety of biomarkers are associated with the severity of lung function, which can be used to judge disease severity. Some indicators are related to the diagnosis of acute exacerbation or hospitalization risk. Some serum markers would guide therapy and can be effectively applied to clinical work.Study of COPD serum biomarkers would provide more reference information for clinical physicians in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of COPD.

?AlM: To analyze the result of ultrasound biomicroscopy ( UBM ) of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment ( RRD ) who need to perform pars plana vitrectomy ( PPV ) to explore the value of clinical application of UBM at preoperation.
?METHODS:Patients who underwent PPV for RRD in our hospital from January to December 2014 were selected. The preoperative results of UBM were recorded and the positive findings of UBM were analyzed, the value of preoperative application of UBM was investigated.
?RESULTS:Totally 356 cases (357 eyes) of patients with RRD were received PPV. All patients were examined by UBM, 122 eyes ( 34. 17%) were positive, 56 eyes were ciliochoroidal detachment, 28 eyes were narrow anterior chamber angle, 6 eyes were chamber angle-closure, 28 eyes were ciliary body cyst, 4 eyes were iris cyst, 11 eyes were anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy, 1 eye was retinal cyst. There were 12 eyes existing two lesions at the same times. ln this study, patients with choroidal detachment was detected by UBM in 56 eyes, the positive rate was 15. 7%, while 25 eyes was detected by B -ultrasonography, the positive was 7. 0%. The difference was statistical significant(χ2=13. 382, P<0. 05).
?CONCLUSlON: The patients with RRD have underwent PPV for the condition of illness, preoperative UBM can be examined to detect the condition of anterior chamber angle, iris, ciliary and anterior choroid, which is significant for comprehensively understanding the preoperative condition of patients, estimating the difficulty of the operation, and guiding operation and the postoperative follow-up.
