Objective To analyse status of peripheral blood leukemic cells detected by flow cytometry in patients with acute leu‐kemia(AL) ,and to provide references for evaluating clinical efficacy and prognosis of AL .Methods The peripheral blood specimens of 87 cases of patients with AL ,including 53 cases of patients with acute myelocytic leukemia and 34 cases of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia ,were detected by using flow cytometry ,morphological changes in bone marrow cells were detected ,as well . Results The sensitivity ,specificity and positive predictive value in determination of acute myelocytic leukemia was 95 .6% ,34 .5%and 81 .3% respectively ,and those in acute lymphoblastic leukemia was 87 .3% ,45 .6% and 68 .9% respectively ,statistically signif‐icant differences were found in sensitivity ,specificity and positive predictive value (P<0 .05) .A total of 19 cases with negative mini‐mal residual disease had recurrence(26 .31% ) after 24 months ,and 68 cases with positive minimal residual disease had recurrence (86 .76% ) after 24 months ,and the recurrence rate between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .Among all pa‐tients with positive minimal residual disease ,the recurrence rate in patients with high expression level of minimal residual disease (88 .23% ) was higher than that in patients with low expression level of minimal residual disease (47 .09% ) ,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Flow cytometric analysis of peripheral blood leukemic cells may has significance for diagnosing relapse of AL and guiding clinical medication .

BACKGROUND: Previous research has indicated that bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells had immunological regulation and hematopoiesis role. There were significant differences in immunological regulation and hemopoietic function between patients with aplastic anemia and normal cases. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the in vitro biological characteristics and its immune regulation defects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells from patients with aplastic anemia.METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in PUMMED (1987-2009) and VIP database (1989-2009) with the key words of "mesenchymal stem cell, bone marrow" in both Chinese and English. There were 55 articles in total. Articles which were related to biological characteristics and its immune regulation defects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells were included; however, duplicated articles were excluded. Finally, 32 articles were included, containing 3 reviews in English, 23 original articles in English, and 6 original articles in Chinese. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells had the capacities of high proliferation, self-renewal and multilineage differentiation; in addition they had the roles of supporting hematopoiesis, promoting implantation and hematopoietic reconstitution in vivo. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells still had the effects of negative immune regulation and reducing the incidence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Aplastic anemia correlated with hematopoietic stem cells in the pathogenesis of intrinsic defects in the proliferation or differentiation of hematopoietic microenvironment and immune system abnormalities and other related disorders. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells of patients with aplastic anemia played an important role in the pathogenesis of this disease.

The Contents of EPA and DHA were enriched from fish oil by lower temperature crystallization. After first separation,the concentration of EPA and DHA went up to 50%-58% from 7%-15%,and to 73%-79%after sencond separation. The selection of solvents and conditions of crystallization were discussed.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of peritoneum for unknown ascites.Methods The clinical data of 106 cases of unknown peritoneum in our hospital were collected retrospectively over the past five years (May 23,2011 to August 2,2016).The sensitivity and specificity of the percutaneous biopsy of peritoneum in diagnosis of the patients with unknown etiological ascites were evaluated.Complications were collected to evaluate the safety.Results The 106 patients with unknown ascites were performed with CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of peritoneum.The diagnoses of 91 patients were confirmed pathologically,accounted for 85.85％ of the total.Among the 91 patients,there were 60 cases (56.60％) of malignant and 31 cases (29.25％) of benign.The other 15 patients had no clinical diagnosis,which accounted for 14.15％ of the total.The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity was 88.35％ and 100％ respectively,which were significantly superior to cytological examination,biochemical markers and other routine analysis.No severe complications were observed in all patients.Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of peritoneum for unknown ascites plays an important instructive role in diagnosis with high accuracy,and it is a safe and effective method.

Aim The protective effect and mechanism of TPG on PC12 cells in calcium overloading injury models were studied. Methods Two injury models induced by KCl and NMDA were used to assay the action of TPG in cultured PC12 cells. Results The morphological examination revealed that TPG possessed obvious protective effects on PC12 cells in injury models. MTT and LDH measurement indicated that TPG increased the number of live cells and reduced the extent of cell injury significantly. TPG also lessened the concentration of calcium ion in cytoplasm. Conclusion TPG protected rat PC12 cells against two calcium overloading injuries effectively in vitro. Its actions may deal with anti oxidation, inhibition of NO production and blocking of both types of calcium channel.

BACKGROUND: The problem of the high rate of acute restenosis at an early and advanced stage has been a hot spot, while the stent with paclitaxel (poly-L-lactide, PLLA/polyglycolic acid, PGA) degradable material will resolve it. OBJECTIVE: To seek an ideal biologic degradable material used in biologic degradable stent. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The comparative cytological study was performed at the Laboratory of Toxicology, Institute of Public Health, Jilin University (Key Laboratory of Radiobiology of Ministry of Public Health of China, Key Laboratory of Toxicology of Jilin Province) from July 2003 to July 2005. MATERIALS: Paclitaxel degradable material (PLLA/PGA) (PLLA:PGA= 9: l ) were offered by Changchun Applied Chemistry Institute of Chinese Academy of Science). Human umbilical arterial smooth muscle cells (SMCs) were purchased from Boster, Wuhan, China. METHODS: The sixth passage of SMCs were digested by 0.25% Trypsin under ambient temperature for 3 minutes, incubated in 10 mL 10% ox serum BMEM, and made into SMC suspension. The materials kept in hypothermal disinfectant Co60 were heated to 37 ℃ by waterbath after surface treatment, and then placed in a 6-well culture plate. SMC suspension was added into the middle of the materials. The density of cells was about 5×106/cm2. Cell suspension diffused around the materials gradually. At last, 10% ox serum BMEM culture solution was added into it, and cultivated in a 5% CO2 incubator at 37 ℃. The growth of cells in and surrounding the materials was observed by inverted microscope everyday. MAIN OUCOME MEASURES: The materials were obtained after culture for 3, 6, 12, 19, 26, 34 days and vacuum dehydration, and were weighed. The weight loss of materials was compared before and after culture. The average degradable rate of materials was calculated.RESULTS: Degradable material had no influence on the development of SMCs. The average degradation rate ex vivo was 0.45% per day. CONCLUSION: PLLA/PGA with good cellular compatibility could be applied to intravascular stents.

Objective:To develop a UV optical fiber in situ process monitoring method for the dissolution behavior of five cepha-lexin solid dosage forms and compare the drug dissolution behavior of different cephalexin preparations. Methods: The dissolution of five different cephalexin preparations was on-line monitored according to the dissolution method for cephalexin tablets in Chinese Phar-macopeia (2010 edition) combined with a six channel optical fiber chemical sensor in situ dissolution monitor. Results:The dissolu-tion curves could show the drug release characteristics of different cephalexin preparations, and the five different preparations exhibited various drug release features. Conclusion:An in-situ, real time, on-line and process analysis of dissolution can be obtained by optical fiber dissolution test system automatically. The release characteristics of different preparations can be presented through dissolution curves directly, which can provide reference for the overall assessment of drug internal quality and clinical medication.

Objective To observe the epidemic trends of Keshan disease (KD) from 1967 to 2012 in Chuxiong City,in order to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of the disease.Methods The data below was collected and analyzed with epidemiological method.KD cases reported through registration and the death case reported were collected in Chuxiong City from 1960 to 2012,also the reported monitoring results of KD and the adult KD screening results of dilated cardiac patients and mountain patients in 2012 were collected,then epidemic trends of KD was analysed comprehensively.Results There were 1 569 cases of KD registered from 1967 to 2012.There were 566 death cases of KD.The total prevalence rate of KD was 7.7％ (226/2 953) by monitoring children KD at the diseased areas of KD and the potential KD patients accounted for 97.3％ (220/226) from 1990 to 1994.The total prevalence rate of KD was 0.6％ (44/7 174) by surveillance at KD diseased areas from 2005-2012 and the potential KD patients accounted for 70.5％ (31/44),there were 7 children cases of KD under 15 years who accounted for 15.9％ from 2005 to 2012.Totally 313 551 children were given sodium selenium for supplying selenium from 1976 to 2008.Totally 151 cases of KD were found by screening from the patients with dilated cardiac patients since 1988 and they were all chronic KD patients.There were 112 cases of KD in 2012 and there were 6 children cases of KD under 15 years,which accounted for 5.4％.Chuxiong City Keshan disease epidemic presented from subacute Keshan disease to Keshan disease,to latent Keshan disease a slow transition;age from children (＜6 years) to children (＜15 years) to adult-oriented features.Conclusions The incidence and prevalence rate of KD has reached the basic control standards,but children KD is coexisting with adults KD.The pathogenic factors have not been eliminated,disease monitoring and health promotion should be carried out.

Objective To establish a method to evaluate quality of Angelicae Sinensis Radix based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. Methods Angelicae Sinensis Radix of different producing regions was collected. Volatile oil content, alcohol soluble extract content, as well as the composition of ferulic acid, Z-ligustilide, 3-butylphthalide and n-butylidenephthalide of Angelicae Sinensis Radix samples were separately measured. AHP was used to establish AHP analysis model to comprehensively evaluate multiple indexes of Angelicae Sinensis Radix. Results The evaluation result comparison showed that the quality of Angelicae Sinensis Radix in Min county, Weiyuan county and Zhang county were better than that of other regions, and Min county had the Angelicae Sinensis Radix with the best quality. Conclusion Evaluating Angelicae Sinensis Radix based on AHP fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is feasible.

Objective To investigate the feasibility and safety of three-dimensional video-assisted thyroidectomy (3D VAT). Methods During January to April of 2014, 10 cases with unilateral or bilateral thyroid benign diseases , thyroid cancer, or parathyroid lesions were enrolled .The 3D VAT was carried out by using a 10-mm 3D stereoscopic endoscope .Local excision or lobectomy was performed via a 2-4 cm curve skin incision one finger above the sternal notch .In two patients , lobotomy combined with systematic lymphadenectomy was performed when papillary thyroid microcarcinoma was identified during operation . Results All the procedures were accomplished successfully under 3D video-assisted system, without intra-operative abnormal blood loss or conversion to conventional thyroidectomy .The operative time was 30-90 min (61.8 ±22.4 min);the intra-operative blood loss was 1.3-93.0 g (median, 5.2 g).All the patients were followed up for 1-4 months.Neither intra-nor post-operative complications about recurrent laryngeal nerve , superior laryngeal nerve , or parathyroid were observed . Conclusions Preliminary impression emerging from this study seems to suggest that 3D VAT is safe and effective.Compared with 2D surgery, a good perception of depth and easy recognition of anatomic structures are noticeable .
