Objective To observe the effect of applying nourishing kidney and ventilating lung combined with western medicine in treating cough variant asthma (CVA) patients with kidney yang deficiency. Method Eighty CVA patients with kidney yang deficiency were divided into contrast group and therapeutic group, each group with 40 patients. The patients in contrast group were treated with Aminophylline sustained-release tablet, 0.1～0.2 g, 2 times a day, as well as Ketotifen tablet, 1 mg, 1 time a day, p.o. As for the therapeutic group, the patients were treated with Chinese herbs of nourishing kidney and ventilating lung based on the treatment of contrast group. One course was 4 weeks for the two groups, and the evaluation were carried out in the fifth week. Objective To discuss the value of ultrasonic examinion in laparoscope's thyroidectomy.Methods 41 cases who were performed in laparoscope's thyroidectomy were checked by color Doppler flow imaging and two dimensional sonography,the key of examination:(1)The length and depth of thyroid isthmitis.(2)Trachea curve degree and the depth in up-sternum.(3)The reference between thyroid,calvicle and sternum.(4)Thyroid tumefaction degree over sternomastoid.(5)Thyroid tumer's number,position and size.(6)Tumer's kind.(7)Bloodstream change.Results Only 1 case turned open.1 case recured in hyperthyroidism.Hoarseness occured in loose after operation and come-into being after 1 mouth.No trachea and parathyroid hurt appeared in any cases.The mean operation time was 125 minutes(range 86 to 193 minutes).The mean time stay in hospital was 9 days(range 6 to 15 days).Conclusion Ultrasonic examination before operation is very valuable.

Objective To set up an animal model with severe head injury that is similar to clinical condition and treated with mild hypothermia. Methods A total of 120 SD rats were randomly divided into eight groups (n=15 in each group), ie, before cooling, cooling 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours groups. The model was induced by dropping a object of 60 g from a height of 50 cm onto the epidura and treated with mild hypothermia (32-34℃). Blood pressure and ECG were observed and serum K+, Na+ and Mg 2+levels measured. The change of neuron microstructure in rat cerebral traumatic tissue of every group was observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Results Animal mortality increased but serum K+ and Mg 2+levels gradually decreased with the treating time lasting. Serum Na+ showed insignificant change. Bradytachycardia occurred in one rat of 72 hours group, two of 96 hours group and two of 120 hours group. TEM showed that the rat’s encephaledema presented gradual relief trend during mild hypothermia treatment. There was one rat in 96 hours group and one in 120 hours group with diffuse tubuli renales necrosis. Conclusion The established model is in conformity with the characteristics of vital sign, serum electrolyte and cerebral microstructure of clinical severe head injury treated with mild hypothermia.

BACKROUND: Because the cortical somatosensory evoked potential(CSEP) is easily affected by the anaesthesia drugs, so it needs to be combined with the subcortex somatosensory evoked potential (subcortical SEP)which is less affected by the junk to monitoring the spinal orthomorphia so as to increase the accuracy.OBJECTIVE: To monitor the onset of stretch spinal injury during rhachial orthomorphia with Combined application of subcortical SEP and CSEP.DESIGN: A comparative study of two kinds of evoked potential.SETTING: Department of Orthopaedics of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 104 patients with spinal orthomorphia ,including 40 males and 64 females, aged from 5 to 19 years, were selected from the Department of Orthopaedics of Sun Yi-xian Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from July 1997 to December 2001.INTERVENTIONS: A Nicolet Viking Ⅳ (NICDLET Company, USA) with intraoperativemonitoring software was used to Record the wave of subcortical SEP and CSEP. The peak and after-following peak of the median N45and tibial P37 cortical responses were tagged manually for peak latency and peak-to-peak amplitude measurements. Reduction of more than 50% in SEP amplitude compared with the baselines measurement was defined as deterioration.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of CSEP and subcortical SEP during the surgery.RESULTS: Data of all 104 patients was entered the final analysis. Among 104 cases, 31 had positive cortex somatosensory evoked potential, 11 had positive infra-cortex somatosensory evoked potential, meanwhile, 3 cases changed into normal after relative treatment, which was related with operation. Accurate of cortex recorded point was 75%, under cortex 92.2%, and combination of cortex and infra-cortex 96.7%.CONCLUSION: The SEP is easily affected by the anaesthesia drugs, but it has good signals to record, however, the subcortical SEP is the contrary condition. The monitoring by combined application of CSEP and subcortical SEP during the spinal surgery can greatly increase the reliability of result.

Objective　To investigate short-term and long-term effects of puncture and sclerotherapy introducted by transvaginal ultrasonography (TVS) in patients with pelvic endometriotic cysts.Methods　A total of 50 cases with 53 pelvic endometriotic cysts were treated by puncture and sclerotherapy under TVS guiding and followed up within 5～7 years.Results　The patients outcomes showed good recovery 35 in cases,obvious effects 11 in cases ,seight effects 3 in cases and no effects 4 in cases.The cure rate was 66.0% and the total curative rate was 92.5%.Conclusions　The method proved a significant effect not only in short-term but also in long-term.

AIM: To investigate the clinical use and effect of a removable obturator made of elastic bionic materials in treating food impaction.METHODS: The removable obturator made of elastic denture materials were applied to 27 patients who suffered either mixed or horizontal food impaction and were admitted in Guilin Stomatological Hospital from October 2006 to April 2007. At weeks 4 and 12 following treatment, all patients were surveyed by questionnaires to investigate wearing comforts, and the histocompatibility of the obturator was simultaneously evaluated. Periodontal indexes were recorded before treatment, at weeks 4 and 12 after treatment. X-ray radiography was also performed before treatment and 12 weeks after treatment to compare alveolar condition.RESULTS: All the 27 patients were involved in the result analysis. They were all satisfied with the obturator after twelve weeks treatment, and the questionnaire showed 96.3%-100% satisfactions from the patients. The measuring results of periodontal indexes at different periods of the treatment showed no statistical significance. There were no remarkable changes in the tooth mobility and X-ray image analysis before treatment and 12 weeks after treatment.CONCLUSION: With good histocompatibility, the removable obturator made of elastic denture materials has been proved to be well histocompatible, acceptable and effective for the patients who suffer from food impaction in the short term.

Nursing had a long history over thousands of years which developed from ancient saying better bid the cooks than the medicine,disease-centered and patient centered tohealth-centered clinical nursing.In order to promote quality of clinical nursing,it need innovation by introducing translational medicine into nursing.This paper analyzed how to integrate translational medicine into clinic nursing and explore nursing model based on translational medicine.

Objective:to study alexithymia of long-term survivors of cancers. Method:to compare 36 long-term survivors of cancers and 45 normal controls with TAS (Toronto alexithymia scale) and SCL-90.Result:there was no significant difference between the two groups in total score of SCL-90. But the survivors had significant higher score in TAS than controls.Conclusion:although long-term survivors are similar in symptom level to normal control, they still have obvious alexithymia.

Objective To explore the difference between the diagnosis of osteoporosis based on the measured value of lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density in middle-aged and elder people in Chongqing .Methods Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry was used to measure of lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density to people over the age of 40 in 2 151 cases ,grouped according to age and gender .Results Both male and female lumbar spine and hip bone mineral density values decreased gradually with increasing age;the detection rate of osteoporosis of the male′s hip was higher than that of the lumbar spine among each age group ,which was of statistical significance(P<0 .05);the detection rate of osteoporosis of the female′s lumbar spine was higher than that of the hip among each age group ,which was of statistical significance (P<0 .05) .Conclusion As for elderly male ,the sensitive position for osteoporosis detection is the hip .However ,as for elderly female is the lumbar spine .In order to improve the detection rate of osteo-porosis ,joint detection of both two positions is well suggested .
