Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(01):-
We determined the polysaccharide content of different grade Xinjiang Lycium Barbarum L. in the way of colo]rimetry of phenolsulfuric acid at 490nm wavelength. All of them contained polysaccharide, But the higher content was found to be in big, red and thick fruits.
4.Improved sample collection methods and bacteriologic localization patterns for male genital tract infection.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(5):423-429
OBJECTIVETo improve the sample collection methods and bacteriologic localization patterns in male genital tract infection, and to investigate the influence of specimen collection and pathogen isolation on the diagnosis and treatment of prostatitis.
METHODSWe collected the samples of the initial urinary stream, the third portion of the urinary stream, expressed prostatic secretion (ESP), and semen from 200 adult males with chronic prostatitis-like symptoms, inoculated them quantitatively in culture media for isolation of microorganisms, and evaluated their laboratory diagnostic significance according to the count of colonies and distribution of the isolates.
RESULTSA total of 468 strains of microorganisms were isolated from the samples, including 414 strains of bacteria spp (88.5%), 12 strains of fungi spp (2.6%), 40 strains of mycoplasma spp (8.5%), and 2 strains of chlamydia spp (0.4%). Pathogens were isolated from the ESP in 66 cases (33.0%), from the semen in 34 cases (17.0%), and from both the ESP and semen in 100 cases (50.0%). Only 1 species of pathogen was found in the ESP samples of 36 cases (18.0%), in the semen samples of 20 cases (10%), and in both the ESP and semen samples of 39 cases (19.5%); 2 species in the ESP samples of 30 cases (15.0%), in the semen samples of 14 cases (7.0%), and in both the ESP and semen samples of 60 cases (30.0%); and 3 species in both the ESP and semen samples of 1 case (0.5%).
CONCLUSIONMultiple microbial infection (MMI), multi-organ infection (MOI) and drug-resistance strains infection are common in patients with prostatitis-like symptoms, frequently leading to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis in clinic and laboratory, and affecting the effect of antimicrobial therapy. MMI and MOI can be diagnosed and differentially diagnosed with the improved sample collection methods and bacteriologic localization patterns.

5.Plasma visfatin levels in subjects with different states of glyeemia and its related factors
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2009;25(3):297-298
Fasting plasma visfatin was determined in subjects with various types of glucose tolerance. Visfatin level was (17.64±1.37)μg/L in subjects with normal glucose tolerance, and rose to (27.42±1.34) μg/L(P<0.05) in those with impaired glucose tolerance or impaired fasting glucose, and to(26.55 ± 1.64) μg/L(P< 0.05)in diabetic patients. No difference was found between obese and non-obese subjects. Positive correlation existed between visfatin and HbA1c(r=0. 317,P<0.01). Multiple linear step-wise regression showed that HbA1c and fasting plasma glucose had independent relation with the visfatin level. The result suggests that plasma visfatin may be related to glueometabolism and may play a role in the development of type 2 diabetes.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1992;0(01):-
As a result of the increasing use of radiologic contrast medium in patients, especially the elderly in severe or clinical condition with attendant comorbidities, such as diabetes mellitus, renal failure, cardiac failure, and volume depletion. Contrast induced nephropathy(CIN)is now the third most common cause of hospital-aquired renal failure and accounts for approximately 11% of the cases. This article mainly introduces the evaluation of laboratory investigations providing insights into the pathophysiology of this disorder and the examination of the important clinical data of CIN including risk factors and diagnosis. The last section deals with renal protection and preventive strategies.
9.Case-based discussion——A bridge links physiology and clinics
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(06):-
To design a case-based discussion pedagogy in physiology teaching so as to help students understanding basic medicine combined with clinical medicine. First of all, a teacher should find a typical case with intention. Furthermore, under the guidance of the teacher, students are encouraged to discuss the case and to answer the questions on the basis of the physiological knowledge that they have learned. Finally, the teacher should pay attention to collecting the feedback from students for the improvement of teaching level.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and reflux esophagitis (RE). Methods H.Pylori infection rates of RE in patients with simple chronic gastritis(CG),which was confirmed by gastrospcope combined with pathological diagnosis were researched. The relationship between HP infection and RE classifications using gastroscope and pathology was explored. Results ⑴H.pylori infection was found in 29(27.1%) in 107 cases of RE and 43(40.2%) in 107 cases of simple CG patients respectively,HP infection positive in RE patients less than that of simple CG patients.RE of class Ⅰ,Ⅱand Ⅲ using gastroscopy classification were 62.1%, 10.3% and 27.6% in H. Pylori-positive cases respectively, while they were 56.4%, 6.4% and 37.2% respectively in H. Pylori-negative ones. However, mild, moderate and severe RE identified by pathohistology were 72.4%, 13.8% and 13.8% in H.Pylori-positive cases respectively, and they were 57.7%, 17.9% and 24.4% respectively in H.Pylori-negative ones. Conclusions All above results suggested that H.Pylori possibly has prevention role in some extent to pathogenesis of RE. RE more commonly was seen in H.Pylori-negative cases.RE could inhibit the H.Pylori survive,So that, the RE was occurred frequently in H.Pylori-negative patients. The inflammatory extent of RE is not serious in H.Pylori-positive patients.
