3.Preparation and anti-cancer activity in vitro of curcumin loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(21):4189-4193
This paper is to prepare curcumin (Cur) loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle (Cur-MSN), evaluate its release behavior and anti-cancer activity in vitro. Mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) was prepared by polymerization method and Cur-MSN was obtained using solvent evaporation method and impregnation centrifugation method. The preparation method was optimized using entrapment efficiency (EE) and loading efficiency (LE) as indexes. Cur-MSN was characterized with scanning electron microscope and its particle size and zeta potential were determined. Finally, in vitro release behavior in 0.2% SDS solution and its cell-killing effect on HeLa cells were also evaluated. The Cur-MSN prepared with process optimization method was round and uniform and exhibited typical mesoporous characterization. The mean particle size and Zeta potential of Cur-MSN were 75.8 nm and -30.1 mV, respectively. EE and LE of three batches of Cur-MSN were (72.55 ± 2.01)% and (16.21 ± 1.12)%, respectively. In vitro release behavior of Cur-MSN showed a sustained release profile with 83.5% cumulative release within 96 h. The killing effect of Cur-MSN on HeLa cells was dose-dependent with IC50 of 19.40 mg x L(-1), which was similar to that of Cur.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2011;13(4):353-357
Objective To explore a new way to improve the repairing effect of tendon allograft by pretreatment with ethyldimethylaminopropyl carbodiimide (EDC) cross-linking. Methods Rabbits' tendon allografts were obtained by lyopyilization. The allografts were then cross-linked and heparinized by EDC and N-hydroxy-succinimide (NHS) respectively. The degradation rate, cytotoxicity and histocompatibility of the cross-linked allografts were detected and compared with those of untreated at different time points. The injured anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) were repaired by tendon allografts with and without cross-linking pretreatment in rabbits. The tendon-bone healing was observed and compared by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) at 1,3,6 months. Results The degradation rate of the pretreated tendon allografts [(6.26 ± 3.16)%] was significantly lower than that of the unpretreated [(30.70 ± 10.24)%]( t = 14.200,P = 0.025 ).The pretreated tendon allografts were atoxigenic and produced significantly lower inflammatory reaction ( P < 0.05 ).The pretreated tendon allografts also showed more powerful capability of repairing ACL injury and shorter time of tendon-bone healing. Conclusion Tendon allografts cross-linked and heparinized by EDC/NHS may promote tendon-bone healing with improved stability, degradation and biocompatibility.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(5):582-583
Objective To explore the relationship between te lomerase activity and bile duct carcinoma and its significance in clinical diag nosis. Methods Telomerase activities were examined in 23 cases of bile duct carcinoma, 5 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues and 5 cases of nor mal bile duct tissues respectively with telomerase PCR-ELISA method. Results Telomerase activity was detected in 18 of 23 cases (78.3%) of b ile duct carcinoma, and was not found in 5 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues a nd 5 cases of normal bile duct tissues. The detection rate of telomerase activit y had no correlation with patients' age, sex, tumor site and size but significan tly correlated to metastasis of tumor (P<0.05). Conclusion The level of telomerase activity was significantly higher in bile duct carcino ma and may be served as one of the clinical marker for malignant neoplasm becaus e of its spsecificity.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(1):65-67
Objective To know the advantages and disadvantages of problem-based learning from students'angle. Methods Interviewed 15 students by PBL scale and face to face interview,to know their ideas about problem-based learning, and then analyzed the results. Results PBL contributed to developing problem-solving skills,self-directed learning, team collaboration and extending professional knowl-edge. But it failed to show positive effect on students'learning motivation. Conclusions PBL has two sides on the outcomes of learning. Implementing PBL appropriately could gain the optimal effects.

Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2009;25(7):1179-1182
Objective To assess the value of two-dimentional strain/strain rate (2D-S/SR) imaging compared with endomyocardial biopsy (EMB) in detecting acute rejection (AR) reaction after heart transplantation (HT). Methods Twenty-five patients who required HT underwent echocardiography within 12 h after EMB. Ten patients of grade 0 AR were regarded as group A, 8 patients with grades Ⅰa-Ⅰb were considered as group B, 7 patients with grades ≥Ⅱa were considered as group C. Thirty age-matched normal controls were considered as group D. The longitudinal, radial and circumferential stain and strain rate of different ventricular wall in systolic were measured and compared among groups. Results Compared with the group D, longitudinal stain (LS) of basal-septum, circumferential strain rate (CSR) of ant-septum at the level of mitral valve, radial strain (RS) of all segments at the level of mitral valve reduced in groups A, B and C. Conclusion The RS of 2D-S/SR is an effective and sensitive technique for the detection of acute rejection, and longitudinal stain can be used as an early index of AR for grade ≥Ⅱ after HT.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2002;0(S1):-
AIM To investigate the significance of CGRP and ET in the coronary syndrome and the significance of their changes in the incidence of the acute coronary syndrome. Methods Group with UA group ( n =30), AMI group ( n =28), control group ( n =25) were established. In control group blood sample take on an empty stomach in the morning ,while group with AMI on hospitalization and after one week, group with UA at angina pectoris attack and after remission. The concentration of plasm CGRP and ET were measured .Results The plasm CGRP concentration in group with AMI was higher than that in group with UA and that in control group ,the plasm ET elevated markedly, while the rate of CGRP/ET decreased; Compared with that in the remission period of the acute coronary syndrome ,The plasm CGRP elevated, the plasm ET elevated markedly, while the rate of CGRP/ET decreased.Among defferent acute coronary syndrome ,the plasm CRGP and ET concentrantion was highest in AMI group, higher in group with accelerated UA, high in group with initial attack UA;the rate of CGRP/ET was highest in group with initial UA,higher in group with accelerated UA,high in group with AMI.Conclusions The changes of plasm CGRP and ET concentration are well correlated with the extent of coronary lesion, the level of plasm CGRP and ET and the imbanlance of thier receptor play an important role in the pathogenesis and development of acute coronary syndrome. Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2010;26(1):72-74
Objective To assess the value of echocardiography in guiding surgical operation approach of ventricular septal defect (VSD). Methods A total of 200 patients with VSD underwent surgical repair. The type of VSD was determined with echocardiography before operation and the results were analyzed in comparison with operation approach. Results There was significant accordance in the type of VSD detected with echocardiography and the surgical findings, and the coincidence rate of 80.00%. The transatrial approach was chosen in patients with perimembranous VSD, subseptal cusp VSD and simple membranous;the anspulmonary approach was chosen in subarterial VSD, while transventricular approach was chosen in muscular VSD or VSD with large size. Combined approach was suitable in VSD complicated with intracardiac malformations. Conclusion The type of VSD determined with echocardiography plays a key role in the selection of operation approach, and is benefit to reducing complications.
