Objective To study the contraction of artery in colonic cancer.Methods Arteries in the cancer part and the cancer ambient part of patients with colonic cancer,the concentration-contractile curves induced by the noradrenaline(NA),sarafotoxin 6c(S6c) and endothelin-1(ET-1) in cumulative application were recorded by myograph.Results The E_(max) and pD_(2)of normal colonic artery contraction induced by NA were(97?19)% and(5.94)?0.17.The E_(max)and pD_(2) of contraction in colonic cancer artery was lower than that in cancer ambient artery(P0.05)).Conclusion The ?-adrenoceptor and ET_(A) receptor are main receptors mediating contraction in colonic cancer artery.

Objective To examine the relationship between gender and intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) in very low birth weight infants (VLBWI) and extremely low birth weight infants (ELBWI).Methods From January 1,1999 to December 31,2012,data on VLBWI and ELBWI,who were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of Yuying Children's Hospital within 14 d after birth,were retrospectively collected.The Chi-square test and t test were used to compare neonatal outcomes between male and female infants.The Logistic model was used to analyze the risk factors for IVH.Results A total of 1 008 cases were enrolled,including 615 males and 393 females,895 VLBWI and 113 ELBWI.The incidence of IVH was 15.1％ (152/1 008) and the incidence of severe IVH was 8.4％ (85/1 008).Compared with females,males had a higher total incidence of IVH [17.2％ (106/615) vs 11.7％ (46/393),x2=5.728,P＜0.05] and severe IVH [9.8％ (60/615) vs 6.4％ (25/393),x2=3.896,P＜0.05].These differences were also seen in VLBWI with a birth weight of 1 250 to 1 499 g [IVH:13.7％ (47/344) vs 7.8％ (17/217),x2=4.473,P=0.034; severe IVH:7.6％ (26/344) vs 2.8％ (6/217),x2=5.684,P=0.017].Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors for IVH were as follows:gestational age ＜28 weeks (aOR=2.012,95％CI:1.288-3.143,P＜0.05),neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (aOR=l.584,95％CI:1.007-2.492,P＜0.05),invasive mechanical ventilation (aOR=2.743,95％CI:1.826-4.121,P＜0.05),electrolyte disturbance (aOR=2.128,95％CI:1.092-4.149,P＜0.05) and periventricular leukomalacia (aOR=2.901,95％CI:1.312-6.416,P＜0.05),but not male sex (aOR=1.351,95％CI:0.917-1.991,P=0.128).The risk factors for severe IVH were gestational age ＜28 weeks (aOR=2.200,95％CI:1.305-3.708,P＜0.05),invasive mechanical ventilation (aOR=4.714,95％CI:2.809-7.911,P＜0.05) and electrolyte disturbance (aOR=2.232,95％CI:1.047 4.759,P＜0.05),but not male sex (aOR=1.361,95％CI:0.823 2.252,P=0.247).Conclusions Male VLBWI and ELBWI have a higher incidence of IVH and severe IVH,but male sex is not a risk factor for IVH or severe IVH.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of endoscopic technique in corrections of square face. Methods A total of 38 patients (age 21~40 years, 35 women and 3 men) with square face were corrected by endoscope-assisted intraoral approach and resected mandibular angle with the high-speed pneumatic drill or bulky masseter muscle and buccal fat pad. Results The use of an endoscope offered a clear view of the mandibular angle region and the application of high-speed pneumatic drill facilitated accurate and easy resection of the the mandibular angle. These patients were successfully treated for these new techniques: ruduced surgical trauma, operative bleeding and surgical time, along with a reduced risk of infection. Conclusion The endoscopic assisted correction of square face offers more satisfactory clinical results with a clear view of operation and less haematoma, risk of infection, surgical trauma and time.

Objective To evaluate the prevention of glucocorticoid -induced avascular necrosis of the femoral head(ANFH)with Tongluo Shenggu Capsule(TSC).Methods One hundred and twenty adult SD rats were randomized into six groups:normal control group,model group,clofibratum group and three -dose TSC groups(high -,moderate -and low -dose respectively).ANFH rat models were established by injection of glucocorticoid once per week and the med-ication groups were given drugs by ga stric infusion one time a day.The rats were killed in the fourth,eighth and twelfth week respectively.Then the macrosc opic and microscopic feature of the f emoral head were observed,and ink -p erfused specimens of the femoral head were detected and analyzed by auto -photograph software of Metamoph to evaluate the pre-ventive effect of TSC.Results In TSC groups,bone trabecula grew we ll,similar to the normal group;lacu nar bone per-centage was lower than that in the mod el group;fatty degeneration in marrow cavity of the femoral head was redu ced,andthe number of subcartilaginous bloo d vessels and their diameter were increased as compared with those in the model group(P

Objective To explore the association of genetic polymorphism of fucosyltransferase (FUT) 2 and FUT3 and expression of Lewis antigen with ulcerative colitis (UC) in Chinese Zhejiang Han population.Methods We genotyped FUT2 (rs281377, rs1047781 and rs601338) and FUT3 (rs28362459, rs3745635 and rs3894326) in 485 UC patients and 580 healthy controls using SNaPshot. By immunohistochemistry method, we also evaluated expression of Lewis a and b antigens in the sigmoid colon of 10 UC patients and 10 patients with benign colonic polyps.Results The frequencies of mutant allele (A) and genotype (GA+AA) in FUT3 rs3745635 were higher in UC patients than in controls (P=0.016, 95%CI 1.339-1.699;P=0.038, 95%CI 1.330-1.742, respectively). Stratified analyses revealed that the frequencies of mutant allele (G) and genotype (TG+GG) of FUT3 rs28362459 were significantly lower in patients with extensive colitis than in those with distal colitis (P=0.001, 95%CI 0.567-0.786;P<0.001, 95%CI 0.503-0.742, respectively). Similar conclusions were drawn for the mutant allele (A) and genotype (GA+AA) of FUT3 rs3745635 in patients with extensive colitis compared to those with distal colitis (P=0.011, 95%CI 0.621-0.900;P=0.006, 95%CI 0.553-0.845, respectively). Although expression of Lewis b antigen in the sigmoid colon did not differ between UC patients and controls, Lewis a antigen expression was higher in the crypt epithelium of both inflammatory and non-inflammatory sigmoid colon of UC patients than in controls (P=0.028).Conclusion Polymorphisms of FUT3 and expression level of Lewis a antigen might be associated with UC.

OBJECTIVETo study the role of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the pathogenesis of sarcoidosis.

METHODSArchival material of 22 patients with a histologic diagnosis of sarcoidosis were retrieved. Real-time fluorescent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detect DNA fragments of the complex-specific insertion sequence IS6110 of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded biopsy samples.

RESULTSAmong the 22 samples studied, Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA was detected in 11 cases. The sequence of PCR amplified IS6110 DNA fragments completely matched with the related sequence in Mycobacterium tuberculosis gene.

CONCLUSIONSMycobacterium tuberculosis DNA is identified in a certain proportion of patients with a clinicopathologic diagnosis of sarcoidosis. Mycobacterium tuberculosis may be an important etiologic agent, at least in some of these patients.

Objective To investigate the protective effects of rhein lysinate ( RHL) on cardiac tissue damage in-duced by paraquat in experimental mice , and to clarify its mechanism .Methods In this study mice were assigned to the following three groups: control, paraquat model, and RHL-treated groups.The model of oxidative damage mice was established by intraperitoneal injection of paraquat .RHL-treated group was given RHL ( 50 mg/kg ) by gavage for one week before performing model .The other two groups were given equal volume of distilled water .For making model , paraquat was intraperitoneally injected in the paraquat model and RHL-treated group .The content of MDA was detected by thiobarbituric acid assay .The activities of SOD and GSH-Px were detected by biphenyl three phenolic autoxidation assay and NADPH coupling method respectivly .The pathological profile of cardiac tis-sue was observed by hematoxylin and eosin ( HE) staining and reactive oxygen species was observed by DCFH-DA staining .The change of proteins related to myocardial damage detected by Western blot .Results Compared with control group, the activities of SOD and GSH-Px decreased (P<0.05) and the content of MDA increased (P<0.05) in paraquat model group .However , these changes were attenuated byr RHL treatmen ( P<0.05 ) .The pathologi-cal examination indicated the structure of cardiac tissue was damaged and reactive oxygen species of cardiac tissue was increased after paraquat was given , however , these changes were attenuated after RHL treatmen .It was shown in western blot analysis that compared with control group , the expression of SIRT1 decreased, the acetylation of P53 and the expression of P 53 and P66 increased in paraquat-treated group .These changes were attenuated by RHL treatmen ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusions RHL may attenuate paraquat-induced cardiac injury in mice .

Objective To discuss the relationships between qi-arrival and mind-control, qi-arrival and qi-regulation, and to define qi-arrival by tracing the relevant records in Nei Jing (Classic of Internal Medicine) and Nan Jing (Classic of Difficult Issues). Method Thirty-seven relevant ancient books of the two classics were reviewed and the notes by WANG Bing, MA Shi, and YANG Shang-shan were referred. Result Mind-control requires the spirits of the practitioner, patient and environment, as well as observing and waiting for the arrival of qi. Regarding qi-regulation, theories involve that qi-arrival achieves same reinforcing and reducing effect as qi-regulation, qi-regulation is elucidated from the correct location of acupoint, proper needling depth and direction, and to regulate qi by observing the arrival of qi. Besides, the changes of internal and external environments also influence qi-arrival via qi-regulation and mind-control. Conclusion Qi-arrival is closely related to mind-control and qi-regulation in obtaining, differentiation, and adjustment. Mind-control and qi-regulation assist each other through the whole acupuncture process, which is the core of qi-arrival.

Objective To analyze the consistency of the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer,Arkray AX-4030 urine dry chemistry analyzer and optical microscope in detecting urine erythrocyte.Methods The fresh urine specimens from 427 patients were randomly extracted and tested by the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer,urine dry chemistry analyzer and OLUMPUS Arkray AX-4030 optical microscope.Then the consistency of the results for detecting urine erythrocyte was compared among three kinds of detection method.Results With the microscopic examination as control,the sensitivity and spe-cificity of the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer for detecting urine erythrocyte were 82.84% and 86.35% re-spectively,which of the Arkray AX-4030 urine dry chemistry analyzer were 89.55% and 83.96% respectively.There was a high consistency between the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer and the optical microscope for detecting urine e-rythrocyte and the Kappa value was 0.580.There was also a high consistency between the Arkray AX-4030 urine dry chemistry analyzer and the optical microscope for detecting urine erythrocyte and the Kappa value was 0.625,while the consistency between the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer and the Arkray AX-4030 urine dry chemistry analyzer was weaker and the Kappa value was 0.324.Conclusion With the detection by the SYSMEX UF1000i automatic urinary sediment analyzer and the Arkray AX-4030 urine dry chemistry analyzer as a screening test,it should need to combine with the optical microscopy to conduct recheck for providing the effective and reliable test results quickly and accurately.

Objective To study the effect of NP regimen plus concurrent irradiation on cancer cell survival of human lung adenocarcinoma.Methods A549 and H1299 cells were served as the experimental objects and they were divided into irradiation group (A group),and vinorelbine tartrate injection plus cisplatin with concurrent radiotherapy group (B group).According to the different irradiation doses A group and B group were divided into A-0,A-4,A-8 group and B-0,B-4,B-8 group.MTT was performed to measure the effect of NP regimen plus concurrent irradiation on the cell proliferation,and FACS was used to detect the effect of NP regimen plus concurrent irradiation on apoptosis and P-gp expression.Results Except the cell inhibition rate of B-0 group and A-0 group had no significant difference,the cell inhibition rate of B-0,B-4 and B-8 group at 6,12,24 and 48 h were significantly lower than those of A-0,A-4 and A-8 group.The apoptosis rate of A-8 group [(45.34 ±4.77)％] was significantly higher than that of A-4 group [(20.19 ± 3.76)％] (t =7.17,P =0.006),the apoptosis rate of A-4 group was significantly higher than that of A-0 group [(4.01 ± 0.95)％] (t =7.23,P=0.019).The apoptosis rate ofB-8 group [(51.12 ± 3.37)％]was significantly higher than that of B-4 group[(36.18 ± 4.73)％] (t =3.59,P =0.037),the apoptosis rate of B-4 group was significantly higher than that of B-0 group [(14.78 ± 2.37)％] (t =9.00,P =0.003).The apoptosis rate of B-0 group [(14.78 ± 2.37)％] was significantly higher than that of A-0 group [(4.01±0.95)％] (t =7.31,P =0.018),the apoptosis rate of B-4 group was significantly higher than that of A-4 group (t =4.58,P=0.020),but there was no significant difference between B-8 group and A-8 group (t =1.71,P =0.185).The S cycle percentage of cells in B-0,B-4 and B-8 groups were significantly higher than those of A-0,A-4 and A-8 group (P ＜0.05).There were no significant differences among the P-gp fluorescence intensity of A-0,A-4 and A-8 group (P ＞ 0.05).The P-gp fluorescence intensity of B-0 group was significantly lower than that of A-0 group (t =-3.45,P =0.041),the P-tp fluorescence intensity of B-4 group was significantly lower than that of A-4 group(t =-5.85,P =0.010).The P-gp fluorescence intensity of B-8 group was significantly lower than that of A-8 group (t =-8.07,P =0.015).The P-gp fluorescence intensity of B-4 group was significantly lower than that of B-0 group (t =-8.07,P=0.015),and there was no significant difference between the mean fluorescence intensity of B-4 group and B-8 group (t =-3.56,P =0.071).Conclusion NP regimen plus concurrent irradiation could significantly inhibit the proliferation and apoptosis of human lung cancer cells,and decrease the expression of P-gp in lung cancer cells.
