China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(14):2820-2824
The macroscopic characteristics, tissue, caterpillar body wall and powder of Ophiocordyceps xuefengensis in different batch numbers were observed and researched by the macroscopic and microscopic identification methods. The result shows that the morphology, size, abdominal annulations of caterpillar, etc. of 0. xuefengensis are the macroscopic identification characteristics, the caterpillar body surface mycelium, body wall sculpture and crochets on abdominal legs are the microscopic identification characteristics. These characters are stable and regular discriminant features, which are proved to be the identification basis of O. xuefengensis. In addition, The characters such as crochets on abdominal legs arrange in two parallel ellipse rings, the inner crochets are long strip, and the external toes are unciform, are specific.

Objective To investigate the association of nitrotyrosine with coronary heart disease (CHD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The nitrotyrosine levels were determined in 109 patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus without CHD (T2DM).One hundred and fifty-two patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus with CHD (T2DM-CHD) and 103 healthy control subjects by ELISA.Results T2DM-CHD patients had significantly increased nitrotyrosine compared with T2DM group and the control group [ ( 78.17±10.68 )nmol/L,(70.50 ± 9.13) nmol/L vs ( 63.23 ± 11.55 ) nmol/L,Ps < 0.01 ].Nitrotyrosine was correlated with total cholesterol, triglyceride, fasting glucose and Gensini Score (r=0.361,P=0.009;r =0.206,P=0.001 ;r=0.347,P=0.026; r=0.466,P < 0.001 ).Multivariable logistic regression showed nitrotyrosine was independently associated with CHD combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus ( OR=1.094,95% CI:1.053-1.137 ; P < 0.01 ).Conclusion Nitrotyrosine plays an important role in the formation and development of cardiovascular disease in tvoe 2 diabetes.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of voice disorder and voice fatigue mental state in the pri-mary school teachers in a district of Chengdu. Methods A random sampling survey included 389 teachers from a dis-trict of Chengdu after they filled out the throat symptoms questionnaire, carried out voice fatigue tests, and strobo-scopic laryngoscopy. Results The most common voice of discomfort symptoms was hoarseness, followed by sore throat, dry throat and vocal fatigue. There were 189 teachers,48.5%,with voice disorders as the voice disorder group)and 200 teachers without throat and voice disorders as the control group. The failure rate was significantly higher at 80 dB than 75 dB,and for the study group, the failure rate was higher than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant in 1,2 and 10 minutes between the two groups(P <0.05).Conclusion Voice fatigue is very common in the primary school teachers and when high volumes are required, the voice fatigue is more serious. To reduce voice fatigue and the incidence of primary school teachers'voice disease,we should strengthen the teacher's voice health care.

Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage accounted for 70% of subarachnoid hemorrhage. The high fatality and disability rate affected patients′ quality of life. Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage should be considered as a chronic cerebrovascular disease, and it is very important to take early intervention and strengthen the secondary prevention to the patients with risk factors for disease. This paper reviewed the research status on quality of life of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and its influencing factors, in order to provide a reference for neurological physicians.

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2022;53(4):383-391
Proteins in the human body are usually made of 20 natural amino acids.Through different amino acid combinations and isomerization, proteins of diverse functions are built. An emerging genetic code expansion technology can introduce unnatural amino acids into specific sites of target protein, endowing the protein with new biological characteristics including covalently binding with proximal proteins, carrying fluorescence, and mimicking specific protein post-translational modifications. In this paper, based on the structure and function of unnatural amino acids, the applications of different types of unnatural amino acids in regulating protein''s stability, studying protein''s conformation, expression level, and localization, and uncovering heretofore unknown protein-protein interactions were reviewed.Besides, genetic code expansion of unnatural amino acids is anticipated to find broad utilities in biomedicine by bringing new ideas and methods to the design and optimization of biologics.

Objective To compare the efficacy of Discoscope endoscope and GlideScope video laryngoscope for difficult glottis exposure. Methods Forty adult patients of both sexes scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia whose glottis was not visible at laryngoscopy (grade Ⅲ or Ⅳ according to Cormach-Lehane Grading of laryngoscopic view) were randomized into 2 groups (n =20 each):group GlideScope video laryngoscope (group G) and group Discoscope endoscope (group D).The glottis exposure time, intubating conditions, time from exposure of glottis to completion of tracheal intubation and incidence of postoperative sore throat and throat bleeding were recorded and compared between the 2 groups. Results Compared with group G,the glottis exposure time was significantly longer, the rate of backward pressure of cricoid cartilage lower, the time from exposure of glottis to completion of tracheal intubation shorter and the success rate of tracheal intubation at first attempt higher (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the success rate of tracheal intubation at second attempt and postoperative incidence of sore throat and throat bleeding between the 2 groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion DiscoScope endoscope is superior to GlideScope video laryngoscope in the management of difficult intubation in term of glottis exposure and success rate of tracheal intubation at first attempt.
