1.THE EFFECTS OF BLACK MUSHROOM ON THE GROWTH OF GASTRIC CARCINOMA CELL IN VITRO
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
Using proliferating inhibition test, the effects of three cultivars of black mushroom on the growth of gastric carcinoma cell in vitro were observed. We have found that the extracts of all three cultivars of black mushroom had inhibiting effects on the growth of tumor cells in medium at some levels, especially Cr-02 was the most evident one.The results suggest that black mushroom has some anti-tumor effects, and it is worthwhile to study farther for verification.

Objective To investigate the safety of inhalation of isoflurane (ISO) or sevoflurane (SEVO) mixed with nitric oxide (NO) during mechanical ventilation. Methods Thirty-six healthy piglets of both sexes weighing 7-11 kg were randomly allocated to one of 6 groups ( n = 6 each): (1) control group was mechanically ventilated with O2; (2) NO group inhaled 20 ppm NO; (3) ISO group inhaled 1.3 MAC isoflurane; (4) ISO + NO group 1.3 MAC isoflurane + 20 ppm NO; (5) SEVO group inhaled 1.3 MAC sevoflurane and (6) SEVO + NO group inhaled 1.3 MAC sevoflurane + 20 ppm NO. The animals were mechanically ventilated with IPPV (VT 10 ml?kg-1 , RR 30-40 bpm, I: E 1:2) for 4 h in the all 6 groups. The animals were premedicated with atropine 0.02 mg?kg-1 i.m. . The Ⅳ line was established for fluid and drug administration. An additional dose of ketamine 10 mg?kg-1 was given i.v. before tracheostomy. 4F S-G catheter was placed in pulmonary artery via right internal jugular vein for hemodynamic monitoring. Femoral artery was cannulated for BP monitoring and collection of artrerial blood samples. MAP, HR, CVP, right ventricular pressure (RVP), PCWP, MPAP and total compliance of respiratory system (Crs), Paw, VT and PET CO2 were recorded before (T0 ) and at 1, 2, 3, 4 h of ventilation (T1-4). Blood samples were taken at T0 , T2 and T4 for determination of Met Hb and NO2- /NO3- . The animals were killed at the end of 4 h mechanical ventilation and the lungs were removed for determination of wet/dry(W/D) lung weight ratio, broncho-alveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and microscopic examination. BALF was collected for determination of surface tension and concentrations of saturated phosphate (DSPC) , total phosphate (TPL) total protein (TP) and white cell count. Results Crs was significantly decreased at the end of ventilation (T4 ) as compared with the baseline (T0) in group 3,4,5 and 6, while there was no significant change in Crs in group 1 and 2. DSPC/TP was significantly lower in group 3,4,5 and 6 than in group 1 ( P 0.05 ) . Conclusion 1.3 MAC isoflurane or sevoflurane mixed with 20 ppm NO can be used safely during mechanical ventilation.

The early damage detection and evaluation are of great significance in treatment and prognosis to the left ventricular function for children with tumor. In this paper, it is reported that the early damage of the left ventricular function was observed by pulsed wave Doppler (PWD) and tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) in our laboratory. Eighty children half a year to fourteen years old were included in this study. The cardiac function indices in chemotherapy group and control group were measured and compared. The results showed that there was significant difference in mitral and tricuspid annulus flow spectrum between the two groups. Compared with PWD,TDI is more prompt, objective and accurate in detecting early damage of left ventricular function in children with tumor. And TDI is a good method for early identification of ventricular function damage in children with tumor.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2017;35(9):655-657
Objective To evaluate the relationship between the number of copies of genes and congenital diaphragmatic hernia by the detection of multiple loci in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Methods Multiple loci were analyzed by Microarray analysis of Affymetrix Cytoscan 750 k in 11 neonates with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, in whom 1 case was twins, and his fraternal twins were diagnosed of fetuse intestinal dilatation. Results A homozygous deletion (8 p11.22 arr[hg19]) was found in one neonate with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and was eventually confirmed that the depolymerization of the biotin and metalloprotease (ADAM) 3A genes lead to homozygous deletion of the 1~15 exon. Conclusion The alteration of ADAM3A copy number may be the cause of congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Under physiological conditions, many vital functions of the body are controlled by transient release of bioactive substances at a specific time and site. Based on the circadian rhythm character of disease and chronotherapeutic conceptions, pulsatile delivery system has been designed to achieve optimal therapeutic effect and reduce the toxic and side-effect. In recent years, more and more studies are focused on the pulsatile multiparticulate drug delivery system. Pulsatile multiparticulate system possesses many benefits, such as no risk of dose dumping, predictable gastric emptying, flexible release patterns and increased bioavailability. Based on these premises, the aim of this review is to summarize the major design methods of pulsatile multiparticulate and the research progress.

Objective To evaluate the treatment methods of endophthalmitis after IOL implantation. Design Retrospective case series. Participants 15 patients with endophthalmitis after IOL implantation treated by Beijing Xuanwu Hospital in 2002-2008. Meth-ods Vancomycin was injected into vitreous cavity in all patients. Vitrectomy was performed on the patient whose infective bacteria could not be controlled by intravitreal injection. Main outcome measures Infective status, visual function, results of microbiological exami-nation. Result Endophthalmitis occured in 13 cases (86.6%) after 72 hours of cartaract surgery. Microbiological examination was per-formed on 15 cases (aqueous or vitreous sample), 6 cases showed positive results, in which 4 cases were staphylococcus epidermidis. The infection of 12 patients (80%) were controlled with intravitreal injection and 10 patients gained final visual acuity better than 0.1. Three patients received vitrectomy because infective bacteria can not be controlled. Conclusion Staphylococcus epi. may be the major cause of subacute endophthalmitis after cartaract surgery. Antibiotics injected immediately into vitreous cavity can control the infections in most cases.(Ophthalmol CHN, 2009, 18: 270-272)

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2021;54(5):456-458
Sunscreen products have been widely used with the increase in public awareness of sun protection. As sunscreens are structurally stable and resistant to degradation, the concern for their biotoxicity and impact on marine environment has been heightened increasingly, and several countries and regions have successively issued bans on relevant sunscreen products. However, these bans have not yet affected the key international rules and regulations related to sunscreen products. The risks of different sunscreens to marine ecosystems and potential risks to human themselves still need to be evaluated through further multidisciplinary researches.
