AIM: To study the effects of aspirin-niacinamide-zinc complex (WUY) on platelet aggregation and experimental thrombosis. METHODS: With adenosine diphosphatethe (ADP), arachidonic acid (AA) and collagen, the effects of aspirin-niacinamide-zinc complex (WUY) on platelet aggregation in vitro or in vivo were investigated by Born's method. The mouse mortality caused by intravenous injection of AA and experimental thrombus formation in rats were observed. Radioimmunoassay was used for measuring thromboxane B_2 (TXB_2) and 6-keto-PGF_(1?) in plasma of rabbits. RESULTS: In high, middle and low dose groups, drugs, in vitro, inhibited ADP-, AA-and collagen-induced platelet aggregation and the effect of WUY was stronger than that of ASP in high dose groups. In vivo, WUY showed more potent inhibitory effects on AA-induced aggregation in 1 h and 3 h. WUY had a powerful inhibitory effect on mouse death as a result of pulmonary thrombi induced by AA injection into the tail vein and ED_(50) was lower than that of ASP. In addition, WUY exhibited strong inhibitory effect on thrombus formation in rat arteri-venous shunt and significantly reduced plasma level of TXB_2 while it markedly increasing 6-keto-PGF_(1?) in high dose groups and ASP significantly reduced plasma level of both TXB_2 and 6-keto-PGF_(1?). CONCLUSION: The effect of WUY on platelet aggregation and experimental thrombosis is stronger than that of ASP and can increase plasma level of 6-keto-PGF_(1?).

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2017;33(2):258-261
Objective:To investigate the expression of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP-3) in salivary pleomorphic adenoma(SPA).Methods:The expression of IGFBP-3 protein in 40 cases of SPA(group SPA),40 of normal glandular tissue(group N) and 10 of salivary gland malignant tumor(group CA) was detected by Western blot. The expression of IGFBP-3 mRNA in 50 cases of SPA,50 of salivary gland normal tissue and 10 of CA was detected by qRT-PCR.Results:The expression(A value) of IGFBP-3 protein in group N,SPA and CA was 8.54 ± 3.95,4.78 ± 2.07,3.63 ± 2.27 respectively. The expression ration of IGFBP-3 mRNA of group N vs SPA or CA,P < 0.05;SPA vs CA,P > 0.05 (SPA/N was 0.654 ± 0.387,CA/N:0.452 ± 0.229) respectively, but showed no significance difference between SPA and the CA groups(P > 0.05).Difference of IGFBP-3 mRNA expression was observed with different envelope infiltration of SPA (P < 0.05),no significant difference was observed in different age, gender or relapse groups.Conclusion:IGFBP-3 Low expression of IGFBP-3 in pleomorphic adenomas may reduce the antagonism of IGF-1R,causing the proliferation of tumor cells and promote tumor formation.

Objective T o infer the frequency of dosage and m edication history investigate of the victim s in drug facilitated cases by the segm ental analysis of clonazepam in hair. Methods Freezing m illing un-der liquid nitrogen environm ent com bined w ith ultrasonic bath w as used as sam ple pretreatm ent in this study, and liquid chrom atography-tandem m ass spectrom etry w as used for the segm ental analysis of the hair sam ples collected from 6 victim s in different cases. T he concentrations of clonazepam and 7-am in-oclonazepam w ere detected in each hair section. Results C lonazepam and its m etabolite 7-am inoclon-azepam w ere detected in parts of hair sections from the 6 victim s. T he occurrence tim e of drug peak concentration w as consistent w ith the intake tim ing provided by victim s. Conclusion Segm ental analysis of hair can provide the inform ation of frequency of dosage and intake tim ing, w hich show s an unique evidential value in drug facilitated crim es.

Object To establish the standardization and digit ization methods for gas chromatographic fingerprint chromatograms of the essenti al oil of Curcuma longa L. Methods A polynomial regression analysis technique was estab lished for the calculation and prediction of the gas chromatographic retention i ndices by using a series of normal aliphatic hydrocarbons as the reference stand ards. And it was used for the characterization of the features of the gas chroma tographic fingerprint spectra of the essential oil of C. longa. Results It was approved that retention indices of the gas chrom atographic fingerprint spectra obtained at a variety of conditions were stable and reliable with excellent reproducibility, and fairly good ruggedness. It was also much better than the relative retention time indices. Conclusion The fingerprint spectra standard established on t he multiple references basis are much more reasonable and useful for the practic al quality assurance and validation of Chinese herbals.

Objective To evaluate the short?term functional outcome of Multiloc Proximal Humeral Nails (PHN) in the treatment of proximal humeral fractures, by retrospectively reviewing the function and complications of our institutional experi?ence. Methods 15 patients were treated operatively for displaced proximal humeral fractures using the Multiloc PHN. Fractures were classified according to Neer's classification. Male 4 cases, female 11 cases, with a mean age 63.7 years (58-73 years), and the mean follow?up was 5.2 months (3-10 months). A number of parameters including patient demographics, mechanism of injury, operative time, time to union and complications were recorded. Functional outcome was evaluated using the rating scale of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and Constant Score, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores. Results 15 patients completed the follow?up more than 3 months, the operation time was 145.3minutes (70-200 min), the blood loss was 189.3ml (50-310 ml). The union rate was 100%(mean time to union: 2.5 months). The ASES score was 83.1 and Constant Score was 81.7 , while the VAS was 1.7. The Constant score 87 (85, 92) and ASES 90 (83.5, 100) were higher for 5 cases without calcar screw than those of the other 10 cases using the calcar screw whose Constant 83 (77, 90), ASES 85 (73, 95). The average Constant score 88 (78, 92) and ASES score 91.5 (75, 100) were higher in 7 cases with 1 screw?in?screw than those with more than 2 screw?in?screw in 8 cases whose Constant 80.5 (74, 88.5), ASES 81.8 (73, 92.5). There were no complications such as hardware failure, protruded screws, infection, nonunion, avascular necrosis of humeral head or impingement syndrome, but 1 patient suffered from elbow stiff?ness (complication rate:6.7%). Conclusion The Multiloc proximal humeral nail is an effective implant for stabilisation of dis?placed proximal humeral fracture with a good short?term functional outcome. Its advantages are short operation time, small inci?sion, less trauma, less blood supply and less complications. The shoulder pain history and or with intraoperative findings of rotator cuff injuries, may have a negative impact on the prognosis.

The Australian emergency medical system has transformed over the last thirty years with the development of pre-hospital care services, hospital Emergency Departments and the development of new professional roles of Emergen-cy Physician and Paramedic. This transformation which has reflected those in many other countries has occurredbecause of increasing accountability by health services for the quality of emergency health care and increased pro-fessional commitment.
