Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection 2008;28(6):618-620
Objective To study the effect and mechanism of polypeptide from Chlamys farreri(PCF) on the thymocytes damaged by 60Co γ-rays. Methods The ceils were randomly divided into six groups: control group, 60Co groups (2 Gy, model),60Co + 0.5% PCF, 60Co+ 0.25% PCF, 60Co + 0.125% PCF, 60Co +0.1% VitC. The concentration of GSH-Px, ROS, A-SAC, T-AOC and the cells' viability were determined. The mitochondria membrane potential were tested. The expressions of P53, Bax and Bel-2 proteins were examined. Results The activities f GSH-Px, A-SAC, T-AOC in cells were enhanced, and the amounts of ROS were decreased by PCF. The expression of Bcl-2 gene was up-regulated, and down-regulated for the expression of P53 and Bax. All observed indexes of the PCF groups were significantly different compared with model group (P <0.05). Conclusions PCF has the protective effects on damages of thymocytes caused by 60Co irradiation. The mechanisms might be related to inhibiting of lymphocyte apoptosis and enhancing the activities of lymphocytes.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2016;16(5):452-454
[Summary] A 60-year-old man was admitted with main complaint of chest pain on exertion.Coronary angiogram showed severe triple vessel disease. He underwent the hybrid technique of treatment through two left minithoracotomy incisions. Both internal thoracic arteries were harvested under direct vision. The left internal mammary artery (LIMA)and right internal mammary artery (RIMA) compositing Y grafts was constructed. The LIMA was anastomosed to the left anterior descending branch and the RIMA was anastomosed to the ramus intermedius. The operation time was 306 min.The amount of bleeding during operation was 50 ml.Five days later he underwent percutaneous coronary intervention at right coronary artery lesion successfully. He was discharged from hospital 8 days after operation, and didn’t complain of chest pain during fellow-up for one month. This technique demonstrates to be an effective and minimally invasive alternative to treat patients with multivessel coronary artery disease.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of sodium nilroprusside(SNP) with remifentanil or fentanyl used for controlled hypotension during the pediatric patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) operations. Methods Sixty children undergoing operation were randomly divided into SNP with fentanyl (A group) or remifentanil (B group). Hemodynamic changes in different times and adverse reactions were observed. Results In B group, heart rate was stable and blood pressure declined quickly. The dose of SNP was fewer and hemodynamic changes and recovery from anesthesia were better in B group than in A group. Conclusion Remifentanil could potentiate the hypotensive effect of SNP and decrease adverse reaction.

AlM: To study the therapeutic effect of external-route microsurgery forrhegmatogenous retinal detachment.
METHODS: ln 55 patients ( 55 eyes ) with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, drainage of subretinal fluid, examination of locating the holes, sclera cryotherapy, scleral buckling, and vitreous cavity injection of filtrated air were performed under surgical microscope.
RESULTS:The retinal reattachment occurred in 50 cases after the primary surgery. The final rate of reattachment was 91% during 6 - 12mo follow - up. The retinal reattachment occurred in 1 case ( recurrent retinal detachment) after the secondary surgery and in 4 cases ( recurrent retinal detachment ) after vitrectomy. The eyesight was improved with different degrees in 55 cases.CONCLUSlON: The external- route microsurgery for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is simple, safe and effective.

This study is to establish the gastric cold model of rats. After gastric feeding with cold water for 5 weeks and extra iced water bath in the last 2 weeks, model group show distinct physical sign of gastric cold syndrome. The pathology of gastrics reveals gastricism of model group, while treatment group(treated with Fanzuojin Wan) show mild lesion. Elisa detection of model group show that the solution of interleukin-2 (IL-2) is higher than blank group. The difference with significance among model group, treatment group and blank group reveals the success of the establishment of gastric cold syndrome.

This study is to establish the gastric hot model of rats. After gastric feeding with ethanol solution for 3 weeks and feeding with extra capsaicin and ethanol solution for another 2 weeks, model group show distinct physical sign of gastric hot syndrome. The pathology of gastrics reveals gastricism of model group, while treatment group (treat with Zuojin Wan) shows mild lesion. Elisa detection of model group show that the solution of interleukin-2 (IL-2) is higher than the blank group. The obvious difference among model group, treatment group and blank group reveals the success of the establishment of gastric hot model.

Objective To characterize the manifestations of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in nervous system with in-flammation-like presentation. Methods We reviewed clinical and laboratory data obtained from 3 cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in nervous system with inflammation-like presentation. Those data include clinical manifestations,CSF examina-tions neuroimaging, pathology of biopsies, treatment and prognosis. Results The clinical manifestations of NHL in nervous system were variable and the findings of cerebrospinal fluid and imaging were not characteristic.Parital relief of symptoms by steroid cortisone could be achieved in some cases which maght further increased the difficulty in differentiating NHL from CNS inflammation.Several signs including no evidence of CNS inflammation, multiple organ involyements, especially the organ involvements outside CNS,and deterioration after a transient relief of symptoms by steroid cortisone, strongly suggest the possibility of NHL.Condusions We should increase physicians'awareness to NHL to reduce the misdiagnosis even though the final diagnosis relies on pathological examination.

Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2012;28(2):121-126
Objective To investigate the effects of recombinant human augmenter of liver regeneration (rhALR) on renal inflammation in acute kidney injury (AKI) induced by renal ischemia reperfusion (IR). Methods SD rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group,IR group,rhALR1 group (100 μg/kg) and rhALR2 group (200 μg/kg).Both renal pedicles of rats were identified and occluded with microvascular clamps for 60 min to induce acute kidney injury (AKI).Blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine levels were evaluated using a Hitachi 747 automatic analyzer. For histological examination, sections were stained with HE. The activity of myeloperoxidase (MPO) was detected by spectrophotometer.Expression of TNF-α,ICAM-1,MCP-1 was determined by Western blotting. Results Blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine levels and the injury of kidney were improved significantly in rhALR group as compared with IR group (all P< 0.05).They were improved more significantly in rhALR2 group as compared to in rhALR1 group (all P<0.05).The protein levels of TNF-α,ICAM-1,MCP-1 and the activity of MPO in kidneys from the sham-operated rats were low,and increased significantly after renal ischemia reperfusion injury (all P<0.05).After treated with rhALR,the expression of TNF-α,ICAM-1,MCP-1 and the activity of MPO were decreased significantly in kidneys as compared to those in IR group (all P<0.05),which decreased more significantly in rhALR2 group than those in rhALR1 group (all P< 0.05). Conclusions nhALR can protect kidneys from ischemia reperfusion injury in rats. The mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of renal inflammatory cells infiltration and down-regulated expressions of YNF-α,ICAM-1 and MCP-1 in the kidney.
