Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;21(4):214-215
Objective To investigate osteoporosis and its main associated factors in patients with type 2 diabetes (DM). Methods Bone mineral density(BMD)of lumbar vertebrae 2~4 and proximal femur in 40 type 2 diabetic patients were measured with dual energy X-ray absorptiometry and compared with control group(30~35 years old). Serum Ca, P, ALP and connective peptide in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were measured. Results The area under the connective peptide releasing curre in osteoporosis group was lower than that of non-osteoporosis in type 2 diabetes. Conclu.sion BMD is correlated with the pancreatic islet function. The patients with pancreatic islet failure develop osteoporosis easily.

Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection 2008;28(6):618-620
Objective To study the effect and mechanism of polypeptide from Chlamys farreri(PCF) on the thymocytes damaged by 60Co γ-rays. Methods The ceils were randomly divided into six groups: control group, 60Co groups (2 Gy, model),60Co + 0.5% PCF, 60Co+ 0.25% PCF, 60Co + 0.125% PCF, 60Co +0.1% VitC. The concentration of GSH-Px, ROS, A-SAC, T-AOC and the cells' viability were determined. The mitochondria membrane potential were tested. The expressions of P53, Bax and Bel-2 proteins were examined. Results The activities f GSH-Px, A-SAC, T-AOC in cells were enhanced, and the amounts of ROS were decreased by PCF. The expression of Bcl-2 gene was up-regulated, and down-regulated for the expression of P53 and Bax. All observed indexes of the PCF groups were significantly different compared with model group (P <0.05). Conclusions PCF has the protective effects on damages of thymocytes caused by 60Co irradiation. The mechanisms might be related to inhibiting of lymphocyte apoptosis and enhancing the activities of lymphocytes.

Objective To explore the effect of parenting style and behavior on children with allergic asthma. Methods From July to December in 2016,a total of 60 children with allergic asthma, who were from Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Jiangsu Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, were selected as the asthma group.Another 60 normal children from kindergarten and primary school were selected as the healthy group.Achenbach child behavior checklist (CBCL) and parenting style questionnaire were used to evaluate the behavior and parenting style of the two groups. The Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) of the two groups were also collected. Results (1) The scores of dotage, autocracy, inconsistence of parenting style in asthma group ((14.95±4.95),(22.23±4.69),(13.43±3.80))were higher than those in healthy group((11.68±3.69),(16.47±4.16),(11.07±3.32))and the differences were significant (all P<0.05).The scores of democracy, indulgence in asthma group ((38.92 ± 5.37),(18.12± 4.54)) were lower than those in healthy group((41.35±3.62),(19.88±3.41)),and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).(2) The scores of attention, socialization, aggression and withdrawal of child behavior in asthma group ((7.35±3.55),(3.85±2.17),(11.57±5.30),(3.40±2.65))were higher than those in healthy group((3.38±2.81),(2.52± 1.52),(6.98±4.77),(2.02± 1.63)),the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.01).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the dimension of discipline(P>0.05).(3) The FeNO index of asthma group((32.27± 14.27) × 10-9 mol/L) was higher than that of healthy group ((11.10± 1.88) × 10-9 mol/L) and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).(4)Logistic regression analysis showed that the attention(B=0.38,OR=1.47,95% CI =1.27-1.70,P<0.01),dotage(B=0.19,OR=1.20,95% CI =1.06-1.37,P<0.01) and autocracy(B=0.24,OR=1.27,95% CI =1.14-1.42,P<0.01)had significant effects on allergic asthma. Conclusion Attention, dotage and autocracy are the risk factors to influence the control level of allergic asthma. This should arouse the attention of clinicians and parents.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the operative techniques of endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery and perioperative management for treatment of acute pituitar y apoplexy (PA).METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 51 pathologically diagnosed acute PA after transsphenoidal endoscopic endonasal resection at the TianJin HuanHu hospital between January 2000 and December 2013. There were 28 males and 23 females, with median age of 47 and disease course of 4h-7d.The typical clinical manifestations included headache, visual interference and pituitary dysfunction. CT scan, MRI scan and endocrinological examinations were performed in all cases before operation. Glucocorticoids were used during perioperatve period, The postoperation symptoms and the results follow-up visit after operation were recorded. RESULTS The tumors were totally removed in 42 cases and sub-totally removed in 9 cases without operative death and serious complications. The follow-up period was 1 year to 14 years. Of 47 patients with headaches before the operation, all patients were resolved after the operation; In 38 patients with sight disturbance before the operation, the sight was recovered very well in 34 patients after the operation. The visual field was recovered very well in all patients. Of 28 patients with endocrine disturbance before the operation, 22 were improved in endocrine symptom after the operation. No patient recurred.CONCLUSION The endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal operation is safe and effective for treatment of acute PA.Appropriate perioperative management is important for the success of operation.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2017;33(12):957-960
Considering the fact of rapidity and concentration of aging of population, Chinese government has regarded it as an important strategic issue. However, how to get a dignified ending still a big problem for the old age today. This article tries to explore the possibility of advance care planning (ACP) approved under the background of aging of population in China based on general report of Chinese government deal with aging of population and existed facts. Though the researches on this topic have grown rapidly, the government legal system is still close to it in this moment, and in the process of practice constantly, it will be a perfect research. It is certain that the legislation of ACP in China will has a long way to go, but in the view of the advancement of death with dignity, palliative care, we still can predict a bright future of ACP.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(9):1257-1264
Mitochondria play a central role in the regulation of cellular energy metabolism, bio-synthesis and cell death. Dysfunction of mitochondria can lead to many diseases. Mitochondrial proteomics provides important theoretical foundation for a systematic understanding of the biological functions of mitochondria, studying the mechanisms of mitochondria-related diseases, and promoting the research and development of mitochondria-targeting drugs. The methodologies, recent technology development, and characteristics and applications of mitochondrial proteomics were reviewed and the challenges and prospects were also discussed.
