Objective To develop a rapid specific method to detect HBV gene mutation by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Methords The patients of YMDD and YIDD mutation were detected by DNA sequencing. Results the DNA sequencing demonstrated that not only YMDD and YIDD/YVDD mutation, but LLLL,LMLL,DLHD,DMHD,LLAQ and LMAQ mutation were also detected in different hepatitis B patients. The results of PCR-RFLP indicated that there were different restricted sites in the distinct mutation. Conclusion The results above indicated that all these mutants exist in the initiator codon of ATG(Met). The mutation of LMLL DMHD LMAQ was associated with Lamivordin treatment. Whether mutation of Met links with the second replicating of HBV needs to be further studied.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of induction of experimental chronic pancreatitis rat model with L-arginine.Methods Animals were randomly divided into control group, arginine 12 h group, arginine 24 h group and arginine 7 d group with 10 rats in each group.L-arginine solution was intraperitoneally injected twice with an interval of 1 h.Serum amylase and glucose levels at corresponding time points were detected and histopathological scores of pancreas were evaluated.Collagen in pancreas was stained with Van Gieson method. Results Serum amylase levels were (1 634±890 ) U/L,( 3 872±2 676 ) U/L,( 3 307±2 197)U/L and (1 561±304) U/L in control group, arginine 12 h group, arglnine 24 h group and arginine 7 d group, respectively. The serum amylase level in arginine 7 d group was significantly lower than those in arginine 12 h group and arginine 24 h group (P < 0.05 ).There was no significant difference in serum glucose level among all the groups.Histopathological scores were 0.8±0.4,5.1±2.6,6.5±2.2 and 4.5±1.6,respectively.The histopathological score of arginine 7 d group was significantly lower than those in arginine 24 h group (P < 0.05 ).Obvious collagen could be found in pancreatic parenchyma in arginine 7 d group, while little collagen was found in pancreatic tissue in control, arginine 12 h and arginine 24 h groups. Conclusions Injection of L-arglnine induced fibrosis in pancreatic parenchyma and proliferation of tubular complex 7 days later, and it could be used for chronic pancreatitis model induction.
8.Three-dimensional changes of maxilla after rapid maxillary expansion.
Chinese Journal of Stomatology 2006;41(3):168-171
OBJECTIVETo investigate three-dimensional changes of maxilla after rapid maxillary expansion (RME).
METHODSTen patients treated with RME were included in the study. Spiral CT images were used to evaluate three-dimensional changes of the maxilla. A three-dimensional reference frame was set up.
RESULTS(1) ANS, PNS' and PNS displaced downward and forward. ANS-PNS plane rotated clockwise in the mid-sagittal plane. ANS-PNS' plane, which represents the real position of maxilla, was not changed in the mid-sagittal plane. The palatal suture was expanded in taper shape and two halves of the maxilla rotated in the frontal plane. (2) The maxillary suture was opened wider in the middle and narrower at both ends, which was like a spindle.
CONCLUSIONSThree-dimensional changes were found after RME treatment. Spiral CT was useful in the three-dimensional evaluation of maxilla.

9.Effect of image matching experience on the accuracy and working time for 3D image registration between radiographic and optical scan images
The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 2021;59(3):299-304
Purpose:
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of image matching experience of operators on the accuracy and working time of image registration between radiographic and optical scan images.
Materials and Methods:
Computed tomography and optical scan of a dentate dental arch were obtained. Image matching between the computed tomography and the optical scan (IDC S1, Amann Girrbach, Koblah, Austria) was performed using the point-based automatic registration method in planning software programs (Implant Studio, 3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) using two different experience conditions on image registration: experienced group and inexperienced group (n = 15 per group, N = 30). The accuracy of image registration in each group was evaluated by measuring linear discrepancies between matched images, and working time was recorded. Independent t test was used to statistically analyze the result data (α = .05).
Results:
In the linear deviation, no statistically significant difference was found between the experienced and inexperienced groups. Meanwhile, the working time for image registration was significantly shorter in the experienced group than in the inexperienced group (P = .007).
Conclusion
Difference in the image matching experience may not influence the accuracy of image registration of optical scan to computed tomography when the point-based automatic registration was used, but affect the working time for the image registration.
