5.Application of caudal septal advancement technique in nasal tip plasty
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2012;18(3):164-166
Objective To build the steady framework of the nasal tip by using caudal septal advancement technique to obtain the permanent nasorostral configuration. Methods From Oct 2009 to Apr 2011,the caudal septal advancement technique was used to reconstruct the septum to make the septal anterior angel and the caudal septal margin reach the anticipated height and length of the tip, then medial crus and the vault of the lower lateral cartilage were sutured to the caudal septum to form the steady supporting structure of the nasal tip. Results 3-16 months follow-up in 26 cases showed that 2 cases appeared the staircase deformity in the junction of the bone and the cartilage in the dorsum, but the nasorostral configuration was good.3 cases whose tip and columella were deviated before the operation appeared the deviation again after 3 months but the nasorostral configuration was better than before. The other 21 cases were good. Conclusions It is a available method of using caudal septal advancement technique to form the steady nasorostral configuration.
6.APPLIED-ANATOMIC STUDY ON MSCT OF GREATER OMENTUM IN CHINESE ADULTS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(06):-
Objective To study radiological_anatomy of greater omentum and to address the related clinical implications, and to provide anatomic data for the radiological diagnosis and surgical application of greater omentum. Methods The anatomic distribution and morphology of the greater omentum as well as the anatomic relationship of the organs in the vicinity were analyzed by using axial, coronal, sagittal and 3D images from 16_detector row spiral CT scans of 60 individuals. We assessed the advantages of these images as well as the clinical significance. The data were recorded and analyzed by using SPSS11.5 software. Results 1.Advantages of three sections: axial section, the display of the fatty tissue and the anatomic distribution;coronal section, the vasculature; sagittal section, the anatomic relationship of neighbour organs.2.Three_dimensional reformatted images showed the return of the gastroepiploic vein.3.Gastrocolic trunk was revealed in 67.2% of cases. The free_hanging portion seemed to have the capability of 'migration': it located in the subphrenic spaces in 20.7% of cases and distributed in the right lower quadrant predominantly in 17.2% of cases. The CT value of fatty density within greater omentum was(-104.97?10.78)Hu and no statistical significance was found in the difference between greater omentum and the subcutaneous tissue. Conclusion Gastroepiploic vessel is the landmark for the location of greater omentum.Axial, coronal and sagittal sections together with 3D reconstruction images could produce a full display of greater omentum and provide valuable data for the radiological diagnosis as well as surgery of reconstruction, pancreas and portal hypertension.
7.The role of nuclear factor kappa B and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 in renal disease
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;(1):41-44
Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) is an important nuclear transcription factor involved in a wide range of inflammatory mediators, adhesion molecules, chemokines and inflammatory-related enzymes in gene regulation, causing immune damage.Vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1),an adhesion molecule, belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and can mediate adhesion of inflammatory cells and endothelial cells caused by inflammatory injury.VCAM-1 gene promoter region contains a series of many of the features of NF-κB site.NF-κB activation can increase the expression of VCAM-1 that causes the immune and inflammatory injury.Present study has found that immune inflammation is the basis of a variety of renal diseases.NF-κB,VCAM-1 in kidney disease and its research progress may be discussed in this article.
