Objective: To apply fuzzy clustering analysis to determination of 10 inorganic elements and Cu/Zn ratio in 13 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine cured for vascular disease. Methods: By FAAS (flame atomic absorption spectrometry) sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, chromium, nickel, manganese, copper and zinc were determined. By range analysis, correlation coefficients and relative fuzzy matrix were calculated. Results: Correlation coeffieients ? were mostly in the range of 0.55~0.80, especially ?=0.95 between Buzhangnaoxintong Capsule and Xinbao Pill. Conclusion: On condition that trace and macro elements are relatively rich and clustering correlation coefficients are larger, therapentic effects among traditional Chinese medicines cured for vascular disease are also similar. This suggests that trace elements, macro elements and Cu/Zn ratio have much to do with therapeutic effect.

Objective To discuss how to use the core elements of international classification of functioning, disability and health(ICF) as a guide in stroke operation treatment to develop targeted, effective therapy plan and rehabilitation goals, establish individualized treatment of rehabilitation, and to observe the effect of limb movement function in stroke patients. Methods Sixty cases patients with stroke and aged from 40 to 65 years old were selected. The body function and structure of all stroke patients were marked by comprehensive evaluation scores of The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale ( NIHSS ) and Fugl?Meyer assessment. And then they were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. The observation group used the Chinese version of brief ICF Core Sets for evaluation, and set individualized treatment according to the results of the assessment; The control group, according to the conventional rehabilitation process, involved in training routine physical therapy. Again 8 weeks after treatment for patients with evaluation, the assessment results was compared with the results of the first assessment. Results Before treatment, the NIHSS, Fugl?Meyer assessment and Chinese version of brief ICF core elements scale scores for the observation group were 7. 95±2. 37,34. 5±4. 0 and 82. 15±17. 96,for the control group were 7. 58±2. 25,34. 8±4. 0 and 81. 55±18. 78. After treatment, the above three rating scale scores, for the observation group were improved to 4. 78 ± 1. 63, 56. 3 ± 4. 2, 60. 45 ±11. 04,for the control group were improved to 5. 13±1. 75,48. 1±3. 8,73. 56±16. 89. The two groups were significantly improved ( observation group:t=4. 94, 15. 51, 18. 59, P<0. 05;control group:t=3. 17, 14. 66, 12. 33,P<0. 05). After treatment, compared with the control group of three rating scale scores(5. 13±1. 75,48. 1
±3. 8 and 73. 56±16. 89),the observation group(4. 78±1. 63,56. 3±4. 2 and 60. 45±11. 04) improved more apparently(t=3. 15,14. 54,15. 45,P<0. 05) . Conclusion Guided by the idea of ICF and scale,with the demand of the patients as the center,to develop personalized physical therapy,can achieve more productive and more targeted rehabilitation goals.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of combining two needling manipulations, Er Long Xi Zhu (two dragons playing with a pearl) and Guo Yan Re (heat produced to reach the eyes), in treating dry eye syndrome (DES) of lung-yin deficiency pattern. Methods: Fifty-six eligible DES patients of lung-yin deficiency were randomized into an observation group and a control group, with 28 cases in each group. Same acupoints were selected in the two groups: Cuanzhu (BL 2), Sizhukong (TE 23), Taiyang (EX-HN 5) and Fengchi (GB 20) were chosen as the major points and Feishu (BL 13) and Chize (LU 5) as the adjuvant. Er Long Xi Zhu and Guo Yan Re needling manipulations were applied in the observation group while twirling reinforcing manipulation was used in the control group. Treatment was conducted once per day in both groups, for two sets of 15 consecutive days at a 2-day interval. Changes in the symptom score, tear break-up time (BUT) and tear production were observed afterwards, and the clinical efficacy was also compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 92.8% in the observation group, higher than 71.4% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the symptom score, tear BUT and tear production showed significant improvements in both groups (all P<0.05); the symptom score, BUT and tear production in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Given the same acupoint selection, combining Er Long Xi Zhu and Guo Yan Re needling manipulations can produce more significant clinical efficacy than twirling reinforcing manipulation in treating DES of lung-yin deficiency pattern.

Objective To investigate the most sensitive methods for diagnosing spontaneous internal carotid artery dissection (sICAD) and spontaneous vertebral artery dissection (sVAD) respectively, for the sake of earlier and more accurate diagnosis. Methods Consecutive patients with sICAD and sVAD who visited the Department of Neurology and Radiology,Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University during 2008-2013 were retrospectively reviewed and the sensitivity of CT angiography (CTA),magnetic resonance T1-weighted fat-suppressed images (MR T1-FS) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for the diagnosis of sICAD and sVAD was compared. Results Eighty patients (62 male,18 female; mean age (45.7 ± 11.9) years) were included in the study. There were 99 arterial dissections in total,45 cases of sICAD,52 cases of sVAD and 2 cases of spontaneous middle cerebral artery dissections. The sensitivity of CTA,DSA and MR T1-FS for diagnosing sICAD was 97.5% (39/40),90.0% (36/40) and 69.6% (16/23) respectively, while for sVAD was 89.8% (44/49),84.6% (44/52) and 100.0% (27/27) respectively. Conclusions sICAD and sVAD have significant differences in many aspects including diagnostic strategies.CTA and MR T1-FS seem to be the most sensitive methods for the diagnosis of sICAD and sVAD respectively.Although DSA has been considered as the gold standard for the diagnosis of artery dissection, this imaging technique does not allow analysis of artery wall thickness, thus also has limitations. It is likely that the diagnostic sensitivity will be improved by combining CTA and MR T1-FS.
